I messaged the gym (via their website) regarding the seating 2 days prior to the meet, but I received no response. One day prior to the meet, I called the gym to ask about the spectator seating, but the person answering the call could give me any information, she tried to find someone to take the call, but there was no one available. The bars and men's apparatus were located in a different room, so you had the choice to try to make your way back there or miss these events altogether. My child has been a gymnast for over 15 years, I have seen a lot of different meets at a lot of different gyms, this by far was the worst gym I have seen hosting a meet.

The studio was running a promotion for friends and family to try out a class. The class is an open gym concept with a stage up front. The teacher manages the music from a station and gets into instruction with stretching and basic dance moves that you will use during different parts of the class. There are mirrors on one side of the gym so you don't feel closed in. It was a full hour long class with no downtime during the songs. Because the dancing and exercise moves are to songs, you don't really dread the length of the session. You just keep moving till the end of the song. The arm workout song was the hardest thing for me. I was spent by the time we did our arms. Overall this is a super fun class, especially to do with friends! I had a really fun time experiencing it and the classmates were very friendly and social. Everyone gives people proper space for the moves and the music level and microphone level with the teacher were perfect for people that prefer motivation but not screaming or loud noises. Worth a try!

Also, I like that I don't have to lug my own weights or mat to class for the floor exercises - I can use the supply provided at the fitness center. There are usually classes throughout the day so I can find one that works with my schedule. No boring treadmill for me. Jazzercise is the easiest way to exercise.

We live close to the Fairfax Ice Rink so were not expecting too much of a difference, but we were impressed as soon as we pulled up into the parking lot. The lobby is expansive with lots of space to walk around, sit down, and put on your skates. The girls at the front desk were SO friendly and helpful -- even volunteering to help us lug in our snow penguins from the rental area to the ice rink when they realized we were outnumbered by little kiddos There is a dedicated hockey rink as well as an Olympic sized rink that we utilized for public skate. My sister did not partake in skating, but was able to watch on the stands. Everything was well maintained and I saw tons of staff cleaning, supervising, and just overall doing an amazing job the whole time I was there. Seriously, color me impressed.

Segregate small kids on one side and adults on the other with no lessons if you want to mix ages.
