My friend has been clean for 6 years, recently diagnosed with cancer so obviously anxious trying to process this all, and Kazdan completely dismissed him telling him he's probably just going through withdraws, that he won't do anything to him, and go try a methadone clinic. The receptionist said that I haven't been there in four years and I have to be a new patient - so I was all right with that and reasoning my visit would be for sick purposes. The receptionist said no that's not an option anymore. I had an appointment today for 11am. I was called at 9am from the office asking if I could please change my appointment from an in office to a video call. I clearly stated on a prior call I wanted to be seen in person. I said if it helped them out I would be okay with it. I waited my entire lunch break from 11-12 for the call and no one reached out. I called the office and the lady who answered said there was nothing she could do about it and I could expect a call around 12:30. This was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I should have just stuck with my office appointment however from the reviews I've read they also make you wait hours in the office as well. They are quick to call you for the payment just not quick enough to call you for your appointment. read more

I had an appointment today with a doctor other than Dr. Kazdan at 9:30. I sat and watched the time pass. At 10:00 I asked what was going on and was told that I was going to be called next. So I waited. I watched two other people get called so I walked out. I love Dr. Kazdan but his office is very poorly run and they have no consideration for your time. I was a fairly new patient of Todd's and had only been to see him two other times.I had an appointment for a physical about two weeks ago.I arrived for my appointment,signed in and waited to be called.After 35 minutes I was called and placed in an exam room.This is when things went south.I waited an hour in the room when I finally decided to leave.As I passed the check out person I told them I wasn't waiting any longer.Just then Todd came out and asked what was going on.I said I've been waiting an hour and a half to be seen.He said to me,"What do you want me to do?Tell all the other patients to shut up." I said it seems like an awful long time to wait.His professional response was,"then leave."Which I immediately did and proceeded to find another doctor where I waited 15 minutes to be seen. I went to see Dr. Kadzan based on the rave reviews from my boyfriend and his family. I don't have a regular doctor and my health insurance was about to run out, so I figured I'd go in and have some tests run while I still had the chance. I didn't have to wait long which is a big thumbs up in my book. An assistant type person came in to take my blood pressure and claimed that she couldn't hear my heart beat through the stethoscope, so she brought out the big machine similar to the ones you'd find at a pharmacy. The reading on that thing was totally off the charts, so she told me that someone else would have to try taking my blood pressure. I've never had an issue with this before so I was pretty surprised; the nurse practitioner came in and asked if she'd tried the other arm, which she hadn't, and had no trouble at all taking a reading... which immediately made me doubt this other person's skills. I mean, you work in a doctor's office for goodness sake. I probably could have taken my own blood pressure better than her. The nurse practitioner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I described the issues with my health insurance running out and she was able to give me a sample and she also suggested over the counter remedies as opposed to immediately prescribing medication - which I liked. Dr. Kazdan works out of a few different locations but she told me that he was in that day, and that he would come in and see me, which he never did. I was agitated with this, since you'd think he'd at least want to pop his head in for a new patient. I had to go back the next day for a fasting blood test. I'm already squeamish as it is about blood... I told them I didn't want to see the needle, or vials filling, or anything - I turned my head away so I didn't see what they were doing, but it didn't seem right at all. The same incompetent assistant was there and this time she was with a new guy, he claimed that he used to be an EMT but he wasn't very confident. They must have been poking around in my vein because a nasty bruise developed over the next few days which lasted for weeks! When they were done, she said something about how next time he would need to try some kind of butterfly method in cases like mine... which signaled to me that they did something wrong but didn't want to admit it. By the time my test results came in, my insurance had expired so I just went in to pick them up. The receptionist said that she could have someone call me to review over the phone so I didn't have to pay for the visit. I called to follow up and they told me that my file was on Dr. Kazdan's desk which meant he would likely give me a call once he was done seeing patients for the day... but it's been over a week and still no call from him or anyone else. They definitely got the job done, and the stuff the nurse practitioner suggested actually worked well... but the doctor is definitely lagging! read more

I've gone here for a few years, almost always seeing his nurse practitioner Wendy, who is fantastic. I have a chronic health issue, nothing too serious, but I end up having to go to the doctor or urgent care for it a few times a year. I understand doctors are hesitant to trust things a patient says over the phone, but this office acts like patients with chronic conditions have no awareness of their own bodies. I called and explained my issue and symptoms and requested they call in a Rx to my pharmacy, to which they replied no, it isn't their policy to do so, I had to come in. It doesn't make sense for them to refuse to call something in, since they're going to only be able to go off my verbal account when I go in to their office anyway. It just seems lazy and a misplaced sense of CYA. When I asked to speak to my NP, I was told a medical assistant would call me back. Twenty-four hours later they called me back just to repeat what I was told the day before. She then transferred me to make an appointment. I was then told I would not be able to be seen until the following Monday. When I asked if I was just supposed to hope and pray the infection didn't spread to my kidneys in the meantime, I was told I could always just go to an urgent care. Wendy is super nice, but it can't make up for an unyielding staff or lack of common sense in office policy, so I'll be finding a new doctor's office. read more

After returning home from college, I needed to find a good GP. My dad urged me to make an appointment with Dr. Kazdan and it was an excellent decision. He's the most down to earth, real doctor I've ever met and is also so "no hassle" and easy going, but so helpful. He's a great listener and I would recommend him to anyone, any age. His assistants are also very good, too. Dr. Kazdan is very honest and gives great recommendations for surgeons and specialists. Only downside, he has limited hours--but I've never had a big problem with making an appointment. read more

Upon our very first appointment, I was there looking for a primary care physician, it was clear the office workers were somewhat disorganized and running 1 hour behind sched. When I finally met Todd Kkkazden,He was very rude, kicking his dirty shoes up and perching them on the examination table inches away from me, he then actually clasped his hands behind his head for the rest of the appointment. He actually used curse words in our primary interview.. So odd! I'd never met him before, did not ever return. Seemed more interested in chicken wing tailgate football parties than patient health concerns. My husband started with Kazdan first, which was a few years ago and then my daughter who is 22 went. She liked him very much and suggested I see him. I have been a patient with this doctors office since 2011, the office staff has been progressively gotten worse every year. After having an appointment it literally takes over an hour to be seen. The office staff are very rude and very unprofessional stemming from the office manager and down. I recently had a CT scan done because i wasn't feeling well and it took this doctors office 3 weeks to call me for my results, needless to say enough was enough i went to another primary doctor that actually cares about their patience and takes care of them in a timely manner ( CLSC ). I would highly recommend searching for another doctors office that treats you with the care they are suppose to provide and not another paycheck from your insurance company. If I could leave less than one star I would just because of the front desk girls. As customer service reps they are very nasty, rude and keep you on hold for 20 minutes at a time. It's happened to me twice already that they called me to confirm my appointment and when I quickly contacted them back they told me my appointment was taken TWICE. When I never gave confirmation for either time. They are unorganized and unsympathetic to their customers MAINLY Jenny and Brenda. They were rude and unhelpful the entire conversation as I patiently waited 20 minutes for them to figure it out. Busted. I renewed my relationship with Dr. Kazdan when he accepted my new insurance. I had only good things to say about Dr. K. He has a terrific demeanor, is reasonably knowledgeable, and his staff is courteous and friendly. My insurance company, Humana Gold has a system by which all specialists need to be referred by the primary doctor. All my needs were taken care of professionally by Dr. K's office until I needed a cardiologist who was outside of his $referrals$ who he normally refers. Apparently, this buddy system works nicely for the doctor's lifestyle. At first he explained that it works because he will make sure that I get timely appointments and special treatment from his referrals. It made sense but sadly, I found out the real reason. In my next visit, Dr. K told me that my preferred cardiologist who practiced at Cleveland Clinic was NOT in the network of acceptable doctors for Humana and that NO doctors from Cleveland Clinic were in the network, so I called Humana to find out. They informed me that my cardiologist WAS in the network and would qualify. Since I had issues with the Dr's normal referred cardiologists, he explained to me that my health care was his first concern and he would make every effort to allow me to use my preferred cardiologist. A week later, I was informed in a letter by Humana that they denied the referral to use my preferred cardiologist. When I called to asked why, I was informed by Humana that it would have been fine with them, but that Dr. Kazdan (or his office) had requested that they deny the referral !! (Is the money that the Dr. receives from his normal referrals really all that important to the doctor for 1 patient?) When I called Dr. Kazdan yesterday to question this and see if the doctor could help, I was asked by Dr. Kazdan to find another doctor. Wow. I have always been polite to both the doctor and his staff. Is there a kickback clause in the Hippocratic Oath? I am seeking another doctor today and I will be just fine without Dr. Kazdan. read more

I made an appt for a physical exam at his Weston office.. They gave me the 8.00 am appt on fasting for blood test. To my surprise, beside they never called me to confirm the appt, when I got there they told me that my appt was at 10.00 am, that I either have to wait or comeback another day. They changed the time without notice and they told me they could not do any blood test witouth the approval of Dr. Kazdan. My husband went to the same office a month earlier and the RN did the blood test and the physical exam without the physician order. By far, the rudest doctor I have ever been to! Wait time is mind blowing..sometimes over 1 hr wait, just to get to see him and his rude attitude. Went in with my mom to see him after she had surgery and was in for a followup with him as that is what was required by him and the surgeon.
