We stumbled across this coffee shop on a list of Best Coffee in Metro Detroit. We live about 30 minutes away but were willing to make the drive in our quest to find the best cup of coffee. There is a relatively small parking lot on site, and it did get a little hectic trying to get in and out. It does look like you can also park in the neighborhood which might be worth the small walk to avoid having to make a right turn in the lot. The outside of the building is very cute and I love that the sign is painted right on the wall directing us where to go. The inside is extremely small as they were originally only intending to roast the coffee at this location. They did add in a ledge adjacent to the counter that had multiple high top chairs available, but there is no other seating inside. This would be great for a solo person having coffee. They do have ample seating right outside on their beautiful patio. They have put time and effort into creating this space, which can be seen in the lovely wood furniture and the flowers they have planted. They also have a pergola over the patio that provides shade. Attached to the pergola is the sign which is also lovely. They have a sandwich board right outside the door letting you know that they are open. The baristas took their job very seriously and were taking the time to weigh out both the beans and the milk. They have a standard menu that is easy to navigate, and for flavored lattes they offered both vanilla and honey that sounds great. I chose to go with the honey iced latte, and then we also ordered an iced vanilla latte and a flat white.y brother in law is from Australia, and we are ALWAYS trying to find him a decent flat white. Every time it is on a menu we will order it. For the first time in YEARS a flat white finally got his seal of approval. You could tell that the care the baristas put into the preparation made all of the difference. After visiting I told my neighbors (who are also big coffee snobs) about Kazkara and they visited the very next morning and also gave their stamps.of approval! Kazkara will now have multiple people from West Bloomfield making the 30 minute drive for a good cup of coffee. read more

This is probably the best coffee within a 10 mile radius. They put so much care into each cup. The owner comes from a long line of coffee makers. You have to get the cortado. Great prices too! read more

My mom and I got to try a new (ish) coffee shop in Hazel Park. There's a lot of seating outside, perfect for the summer weather, but not much seating indoors (maybe a few high-top stools along the wall). They roast their own beans and also sell beans from DTROITR. I ended up buying a bag from both roasters, so we'll see how that goes. FLAT WHITE - 4.50 +1 for hazel honey I got mine with whole milk, and it was creamy and mildly sweet from the honey. It had a slightly acidic flavor, and the overall drink was very smooth and enjoyable. It was a bit small, but we could really taste the espresso flavors. BLUEBERRY LAVENDER MUFFIN - 4 We also got a blueberry lavender muffin to enjoy, but it was very cakey and dry, almost dense. It was also too sweet, so it was hard to pick out the floral notes from the lavender. I would not get this again. Cute shop. Good coffee, hope the beans are good too. read more

Brand new coffee shop (to me); cool little spot with a ton of outdoor space. It looks awesome and you might miss it if you're coming here for the first time so pay attention to your gps. Friendly faces are ready to make some amazing coffee for you. I love the fusion of chocolate and orange so I went with the orange mocha, minus the marshmallows. There are places where the espresso hits different, this is definitely one of those cases. It's delicious, truly. You can smell the orange with each sip, it's a beautifully balanced drink, kind of like a good cocktail. And it's not overly sweet! I'll be adding this spot to my rotation and I'm looking forward to the next set of seasonal drinks. read more

Amazing new coffee shop! You can tell how good the quality is. The coffee is smooth and rich. They roast their own beans and make their syrup in house. The Hazel Honey latte was so good. The service was warm and inviting. They have few stool seating. It wasn't open when we went but looked like they are going to have patio seating. read more

We stopped in for the soft opening of this little coffee shop & roastery and were happily greeted by a few of the folks running the place. It's quaint, with just a few seats, and some wares on a shelf for purchase. They were super friendly, showed us where the coffee is roasted, and even let us check out the unroasted coffee they use to make everything. They also explained the different types of coffee they have for sale, and we were happy to learn that some of the proceeds go to good causes. All the folks we got a chance to meet working there were locals to HP. They roast coffee and make drinks on site, and I had an iced oat milk latte. It was excellent, and honestly one of the best lattes I've had in quite a while. I also purchased a pouch of their Detroitr Peru Cajamarca beans. I had them this morning and will definitely be putting them in rotation in my grinder. These guys have the best beans in the city. I've tried all the roasters here. The selection is narrow but that goes with a small operation focused on the beans being freshly roasted. I've not seen anything more than 2 weeks old. The crew and owners are pleasant and knowledgeable. read more

Been to Kazkara twice now and love it! The outdoor area is surprisingly cool temperature wise which is awesome since seating inside is limited. My husband loves their cold brew and I really enjoy their lattes and syrup options. The muffins are awesome too. I appreciate that I can snag a great cup of coffee for not an arm and a leg. A great place to grab a cup of coffee. Coffee was great and even more the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Also, they are working on expanding their offerings for drinks and entertainment.
