I'd probably give this place a 4.5 out 5 if i could BUT for the convenience of it being in the Rust Belt Market and open until 7pm i'll give it a 5. I ordered an iced Mocha. The espresso they make is on the stronger side/less sweet which I prefer. It's tough because Red Hook has the best iced Mocha second to Mad Cap that I've ever had and those are close by. But I'm sure the other drinks here are great since it's clear they use a delicious and fresh coffee beans.

Honey Dirt Coffee is a pop-up coffee stand inside the Rust Belt Market, which has many crafts and boutique vendors along with a bar. My friend and I wanted to try a new coffee spot. The barista was friendly and recommended the banana bread syrup with any of the espresso drinks. CAPPUCCINO - 5.25 +0.75 for banana bread syrup + whole milk (recommended by the barista) The cappuccino had a strong espresso flavor, and the banana bread syrup was very banana-forward without tasting overly sweet or artificial. However, I didn't think the combination of the espresso and banana didn't work well together. Overall, worth a try, and I would like to try a different drink next time or look into buy a bag of beans.

Service was good coffee it was good and a nice little shop where the owner really takes pride in his work. I got the banana bread syrup latte which was recommended. It was not too sweet. The owner was very nice and chatty in a good way. You can tell he takes pride in his business. Coffee is good and syrups are housemade. Would return.

This shop is inside of the Rust Belt. Best coffee I've had in a long time. Enough said

The space, service, coffee and fresh pastries were stunning! Ample free parking is available out back. The interior was open, inviting, comfortable and clean. Music was low volume and conducive to companion conversation. Our coffee was excellent. We enjoyed a rich, dark chocolate brownie with our beverages. Delicious. Price point is moderately high, but the quietude and quality experience were worth it to this reviewer.

I got the "burnt orange espresso tonic" and a "rosemary biscuit". Both were amazing. The biscuit was warm and buttery and the included jam (which appeared house made) was the perfect compliment. The flavors were all distinct but complimentary and made this into a spectacular treat. The espresso tonic is the best I've had. The flavor was fresh, light and fruity, with the bitterness of the coffee keeping it grounded and sophisticated. I even ate the orange slice at the end. The wait for my drink was probably about 7-10 minutes but knowing that in the future, I'm willing to plan around if the product is going to be this good. I want to come back and try the food but I will make it a point to return the next time I'm on this side of town.

The video surveillance should have also captured the moment I was bear hugged, dragged through a dark hallway, and eventually thrown into a white sign outside. I received bruises and luckily nothing major happened like landing wrong on my head and getting a concussion and possible death (should I have had a bad landing after being tossed by this lady). As she grabbed me and before she threw me to the ground I pled with her that she did not need to do this, but she was very angry (probably because she was working on Halloween and saw me with 3 beautiful girls and she couldn't handle how well the costume looked on me - just speculating here.) I went to this place on Halloween 2025, by the time I was assaulted it was November 1st, 2025 because it was past midnight. I was with 3 other girls (I am a male). We waited in line to get in. I was dressed up as Spider-Man and the girl I was with was Catwoman. I am of Western European descent and maybe that was the issue, I was racially profiled by the woman hostess/bouncer because she was letting in the rest of the people except me and my crew. I proceeded to take my phone out and record her after the assault and take pictures of her so I could later report her. On top of that, there were gunshots nearby so I decided to uber home and report this later instead of right away with the owner. I am going to follow up with this place to make sure we can come to some understanding that assaulting customers is not ok and I will continue to spread the word about my experience if I am not adequately satisfied with their resolution (if there is one). Again, this place is bad news and you should stay away. I am willing to change this review if an apology and some sort of incentive is offered.

Please keep the Roasted Beet + Citrus Salad and the Curried Leek And Corn Chowder as permanent menu items or at least on regular rotation. I will return to have both items again. There is currently an awesome Chi Fan Le residency in the cafe right now, with incredibly delicious Chinese American dishes that rotate as well between breakfast and lunch and everything is FANTASTIC! They also have their own menu of coffee, tea, and other drinks for you to order from, along with their own food menu outside of Chi Fan Le, but I highly recommend ordering off the Chi Fan Le menu while you still can! If you order food and drink, they'll bring the food to whatever table you're sitting at in the cafe's adjoining seating area when it's ready and they bus the items for you as well. The service is incredible, the vibes are high, and it's a glorious place to grab a bite or stay for awhile snacking and coworking as well! I love BasBlue Cafe!
