I had a sesamoidectomy (removal of a sesamoid bone) done by Dr. Kazmer in June of 2020. I chose him to perform the surgery because he was very confident in the success of the surgery while others doctors I went to were not. He had a lot of experience and clearly knew his stuff. While he can come off as a bit cocky, I prefer this demeanor from a surgeon. This shows me that they don't accept a failure or mistakes. My surgery went well and recovery wasn't too bad either. For anyone else with sesamoid problems, I highly suggest seeing Dr. Kazmer for such a complex issue. Don't let those other doctors put off your pain too long- as it will only get worse and affect other parts of your foot overtime! Thank you Dr. Kazmer for allowing me to be active again!! read more

Dr. Kazmer is very friendly. He can quickly assess a situation and recommend a solution. We arrive on time for our appointments and we are seen at that time. There's not a hug wait. The nurses are great as well. The front desk staff of the office could use some attitude adjustments. They aren't so welcoming. It doesn't change how I feel about the doc. I'm still trust him with my family's foot care. One other piece of feedback, when making shoe recommendations, it would be good to have models or a list of shoe types that are preferred. read more

I came to Kazmer after a previous consultation with another podiatrist who didn't understand that my ingrown toenails were causing tremendous pain. After reading reviews (and making sure his practice would work with our insurance!) I made an appointment to see him. Right away he noticed that it was an issue and addressed that it was probably painful and bothersome. Within a week I was scheduled for one to be removed and the other one the following week. Dr. Kazmer performed a Sesamoidectomy on my foot a little over a year ago. I'm writing this review now so that those who are reading all of the negative information out there on having this done, can see that I am living proof that you NEED to get the surgery! But you NEED the right surgeon. I was seeing an orthopedic doctor for excruciating pain in the ball of my left foot. Years of dancing and running when I was young took its toll on me. The ortho doctor was putting Cortizone injections into the ball of my foot.. talk about pain! These injections were not helping me and after about 8 months of seeing this doctor, he said the only other option was surgery. But, not the right surgery! He wanted to shave a bone down, or some nonsense. He told me I'd never run again. And I went for a second opinion. I saw Dr. Seeds, who I have to thank as well as he was honest with me in that there was nothing he could do for me. But, he told me he knew the right doctor for me. He called Dr. Kazmer on his cell phone. Dr. Kazmer was out on the golf course and picked up his phone, listened to my problem and told me to call his office and that he'd take care of me. I was able to set up an appointment that week. I went to the appointment where Dr. Kazmer sat down with me and a model of a foot and explained in detail what was going on with me. He recommended the sesamoidectomy, explained the risks, and more importantly, the benefits! We talked about all the negative information out there on this surgery. He has performed this type of surgery many times and was very honest about the pros and cons. He took all the time I needed to discuss everything, never rushing me. By the end of the appointment I completely trusted this doctor and after years of torture with my foot, we went ahead and scheduled surgery. In December of 2015 i had my surgery. It was 20 minutes and I walked out in a boot.. no joke! By Christmas (about 4 days later) I was still on some pain meds but doing great. I was back to work as a nurse in 2 weeks. A couple months later and I was in a regular shoe. I remember my last appointment with Dr. Kazmer when he said, "Happy running!" before he walked out of the office. I just about cried. I couldn't believe I'd be running again. Fast forward to now.. has my toe veered a bit to the right? Slightly. And I mean ever-so-slightly. If you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't see it. I have almost no pain.. occasionally after a run I will feel a bit of light pain but that goes without saying. I had a broken bone in there for years! I'm so glad I did it. And I can't stress enough that you have to find the right doctor! I wish there wasn't so much negative information out there on Sesamoidectomy surgery. For me it was a game-changer. And Dr. Kazmer was a life-saver! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Yes, he is friendly, but he spends less than five minutes with his patients and keeps you coming back to offer no help whatsoever. I saw him for plantar fasciitis - he explained nothing about the condition, and offered no advice on exercises. What he did share was that he had the same problem and gave himself a cortisone shot which "worked just great" -- yet he never offered that as an option for me. He just said to ice it and wrapped it in tape that fell off just about as quickly as he put it on. He gave me Prednisone and when I told him I was allergic to it, he said there were no other meds that worked. He also sold me a boot and stated to use it regularly -- about a day later, I still had the bad heel pain, and also pain radiating up my leg. After two tapings, two five minute visits and him asking me to come back for a third, I'd had enough. I spoke with someone in my office who ALSO said she had a bad experience with Dr Kazmer and went to see her doctor. He spent a great deal of time with me, explained the condition as well as options for treatment and prescribed Meloxicam to help with my inflammation. He told me the reason for the leg pain was the boot -- it keeps that tendon which actually causes the problem to begin with from stretching at all. Clearly he was correct -- as soon as the boot was gone, so was the leg pain. Pretty much everything Dr Kazmer told me was incorrect. I get the feeling he's just interested in getting patients in and out the door as quickly as he can. If you want to see someone with a nice personality, give him a shot. If you want a doctor that's actually going to listen, spend time with you and fix your problem, limp over to another podiatrist as quickly as your sore feet will take you!!! read more

This doctor is so unprofessional and root! My 77 years old mother went to him to get her toe nails trimmed and treated. He did not want to do it. He seemed so bothered and root. Then he changed his mind, and cut her nails so poorly leaving her so upset. On the top of that He cut one of her nail almost completely leaving her in a lot of pain and blood, for hours after she got home. He did not say sorry, or treated the cut professionally. Dr. K is really nice, super down to earth! He discusses the game plan when explaining treatment options and doesn't shy away from questions. He is also great about providing detailed explanations when I ask for them. He and his staff are very courteous and get you in and out quickly. I've never had to wait more than five minutes in the waiting room for my appointment. I've been going to see him for over a year now and couldn't ask for better treatment. read more
