This whole staff does an amazing job. From the appointment setters/bookkeepers to the physiotherapists, and lastly, Dr. Jon, who in my opinion is by far the best chiropractor I have seen. I recommend this place highly, and often tell family and friends, strangers and neighbors to check this place out. Dr. Jon specializes in the treatment of the spine, and by doing so he is able to treat a multitude of problems- from disc herniations, scoliosis, and other spine related disorders to even aiding in the treatment of migraine headaches, multiple sclerosis, and more. They offer free exams with small donation to Northern Illinois Foodbank, and are willing to be flexible with payments and work with insurance. I had seen two chiropractors before Dr Jon and prior to that I was in pain almost non-stop through the day- having to take ibuprofen, ice every twenty minutes, applying bengay cream, chair massages, sleepless nights, and not possessing the ability to sit for more than 10 minutes without feeling excruciating pain. This was for 5 years! Starting at the age of 20 and not until I saw Dr. Jon at 25 was there any noticeable difference. Though not completely perfect, I have had an 80% pain reduction and other than stretching and strengthening, what was mentioned earlier is no longer necessary. Gone are the days of spending so much time trying to alleviate symptoms. None of it got down to the root of the problem. I had 6 herniations. Dr. Jon is the best ! I came to Performance Sports and Spine thinking it was going to be the same as any other chiropractor I have seen in the past . He takes the time to explain everything about your spine to you, and makes sure you understand it. I fell on my left side over 2 years ago, and have seen a chiropractor, 2 orthopedic doctors and a neurologist. Dr. Jon X-rayed me and could see what happened. When I first went there I was in a great deal of back pain, finding it difficult to sit, stand or walk for any length of time. I had L4-L5 surgery for spinal stenosis five years ago. Though the pain was gone from L4-L5, I began experiencing disc and muscle related pain from other areas and starting seeing Doc Jon. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and caring. We formulated a plan and after a couple months the pain had greatly diminished.
