Sheryl took newborn photos of my 2 week old daughter, myself, and my husband last month and I was…read morevery happy with the experience (I got the premium newborn session). She is a maternity nurse, which was a huge comfort as you can tell she prioritizes the safety of the babies she photographs. She was also an expert at swaddling and calming my baby. At the beginning of the session, she asked me for any images as inspo and went above and beyond to make sure she captured the images that we wanted. One other thing I really appreciated was the time she spent. We had our session at 1pm and she didn't book anyone after us, so we had the entire afternoon and she did not rush us at all (I spent a total of 1 hour during the session nursing); our total session was about 4 hours, which when you consider what you pay and what you get, is very reasonable (the package I got included 2-3 hours, but she was happily flexible with this). I had looked at other photographers but many had ridiculous prices because they worked out of a studio. Sheryl has her studio in her home, which is why I imagine her prices are relatively reasonable. The premium package not only comes with about 30+ edited images that I was able to keep and download, but also comes with an album she creates and mails to you. During my research of local photographers, many charge a few hundred just for the photography session, but that does not include images (i.e. you have to purchase any prints, albums, etc. directly from the photographer and you don't get to download/keep the images)...this was one of the biggest deciding factors for me and my husband, as I wanted to be able to keep all of the images and design my own projects for gifts, etc. Plus I love Sheryl's esthetic/photography style which you can appreciate on her website. Finally, Sheryl went above and beyond and added additional edited photos to our gallery which she did not necessarily have to do. We were very happy with our experience and images and plan to book any future child related photography sessions with Sheryl. We highly recommend her!
