Customer Service: 5/5 Products: 5/5 Price: 5/5 K beauty products are IN! They're getting really popular and everyone wants the latest skin care. Need products for your 10-step skin care routine? Need some face mask and skincare masks? Need lotions and hygiene products? Snacks? Samples? This little store has so many options to choose from and the prices are totally affordable! Bonus: The shop owner, Stella, is such a lovely lady! She is so friendly and kind, makes your shopping experience even better. She's also very helpful and is great at recommending different products. (Say Hello with a big smile and she'll smile back just as bright!) I would highly recommend this shop if you're just strolling around Chinatown or you need some beauty/skin care products. There's always new products coming in. Go take a look for yourself!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend! The shop is located in Chinatown and the owner is super friendly! I came in on a cold day and she said to please come in where it's warm! She is very kind and gifted a few masks to me after my purchase. The shop itself is very compact but bright and well-organized. It stocks a variety of brands in different product types, including well known favorites like Dr. Jart, Innisfree and Sulwhasoo! While there are products very slightly marked above their market selling price, the flip side is that some are marked below it! Just double check and be certain what you will pay for but I am fine with it as nothing is outrageously asked, and it's to support a small business that's only been open for three months! I purchased a few standard items I normally use and they hold up well. Will return again soon! Very much a 10/10 beauty shop experience.

In a rare bout of experimentation recently, I was all set to pull the trigger on buying some products from Glossier on their website when I saw they had a brick and mortar in Philly and decided to go check it out. And I'm so glad I did! Being able to compare different colors/shades and seeing how they looked on my skin made a huge difference. The ladies in the pink jumpsuits were very friendly and quick to offer recommendations and advice if you ask. My only two critiques: 1. The area right by the front door got very crowded. If you walk a little bit further in towards the back, there were much fewer people with the same exact products to play around with. 2. Some of the samplers needed to be thrown out (dried up, nothing on the bottom). I liked that they had a lot of swabs, makeup remover, and hand sanitizer on hand, but that doesn't really help if the sampler product is useless. They're running a promo now where if you spend over a certain amount, you get a free pink mug!

I didn't choose either of the delightful, light, lovely fragrances. I preferred the Glossier limited edition birthday cake candle, which smells yummy. Their candles are affordable, have long-lasting aromas, and have a nice throw.

I love Target, and the Chestnut Street Philadelphia location is a prime example of how a major…read moreretail brand can adapt to city living without losing what makes it great. I grew up visiting Target in the suburbs, so discovering this location in Philadelphia immediately felt familiar. It maintains the brand's accessibility and comfort while smartly adapting to city life. The store is consistently clean, bright, organized, and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful, the grocery selection is genuinely fresh, and the overall experience feels thoughtful and efficient. What Target does especially well is discernment. The product mix feels curated rather than crowded, with a smart balance of affordability, quality, and style across groceries, home goods, essentials, and private-label products. Their app also stands out, particularly the real-time inventory tools that make pickup and delivery seamless. More broadly, Target is one of the few major retailers that has preserved the strengths of brick-and-mortar shopping while still evolving for modern life. I suspect part of that comes from the company's Minnesota roots and the strong Scandinavian influence embedded in the culture there. You can feel it in the stores: clean layouts, restrained design, thoughtful presentation, efficiency paired with warmth, and an emphasis on functionality without sacrificing quality. It stands apart from most big-box retail in America. The Chestnut Street location embodies that philosophy perfectly. Similar to what brands like Barnes & Noble and Bloomingdale's have done with their urban stores, Target has adapted away from oversized suburban formats in certain city environments without sacrificing the core experience. The nearby location by the Barnes Foundation is excellent as well. It's larger than the Chestnut Street store but not a sprawling mega store, making it especially well-suited for city living while still offering a broader inventory and the convenience of free parking. Both locations feel like thoughtful adaptations of the traditional suburban retail model rather than watered-down versions. As parents, we've also been consistently impressed by Target's private-label products. Their diapers, formula, yogurt pouches, peanut butter, dairy products, pasta, and other everyday essentials have all been of excellent quality at prices meaningfully lower than those of many national brands. Target's Philadelphia stores demonstrate how thoughtful, adaptable retail can succeed in urban environments while preserving the core values that built customer loyalty in the first place. Highly recommended!

I wanted an actual in person opinion before dropping that kind of money. I asked an associate about a few options, told her what I've used before, what I was looking for, just trying to give context. It was busy, so I get that it's hectic. But she was clearly over it. Eyes glazing over, super short responses, that vibe where someone is already tired of you and you just started talking. She basically pointed at one product and kind of brushed me off. The frustrating part is I was already leaning toward that exact serum. I just wanted confirmation or a little insight. Instead I felt like I was inconveniencing her for asking basic questions in a store that literally sells beauty advice as part of the experience. Sephora is already pricey, so the whole reason I went in instead of ordering online was for guidance. If I'm going to get treated like that, I might as well just click buy from home next time. Cashiers were nice though. So at least checkout didn't feel awkward.

I approached a team member in the makeup section and asked for assistance with a new fragrance. The nice young lady referred me to Ms Dorthy who was a few steps away. It was busy and she kindly held that area down. I mentioned that I have Gucci Blossom from a while back but started triggering migraines. I have DK Good Girl which I would need to spray way in advance. Marc Jacob Daisy is my most recent. As I grew older the Spider Senses became stronger. Lol Ms Dorthy suggested several fragrances. I went with a travel of a Jo Malone. I am not built for the cold and spoke with Kimberly about hair hydration. I went with her recommendation of a Briigeo Travel Kit. Kind recommendations. Self Care on a budget. Looking forward to my upcoming birthday reward.
