Conicelli inspected and did brakes and ball Joints were not required Brought jeep in for a repair and ended up using another shop because they specialize in the vehicle and did it for a few hundred less and also replaced a few sensors and spark plugs. Dont doubt they do good work but not worth paying 50-100-% more over other reputable shops to find out.

While my car was there, the staff suggested I proceed with a tuneup since my car had recently hit 100,000 miles. I agreed to the tuneup, and the day I was supposed to pick up my car, it was radio silence from the staff. I called around 4pm verifying I would be picking up my car prior to close at 7, and they confirmed. 6:45, and I hear nothing. I show up to the shop at 6:55 and am told that during the tune up, a spark plug broke off and porcelain fell into a cylinder in my engine. They said they did not know how long it would take to resolve the issue because they wanted to find a solution that "didn't cost the shop a lot of money." The standard practice for removing porcelain from a cylinder is to pull the head of the engine and clean out the cylinder. This requires 17 hours of labor. Monro did not follow standard practice. Over twelve weeks, they tried a variety of different methods. Twelve weeks later, they tell me my car is ready to be picked up. I informed them I would not be comfortable picking up my car until they shared what other methods they tried since they refused to follow standard procedure. After this request was made on Sept. 18, I didn't hear anything from the staff again until Oct. 16. On Oct. 16, I woke up to a charge from the Enterprise where Monro had told me they would be providing me with a rental. Enterprise shared that Monro told them they stopped paying for the car on Sept. 26, but nobody informed me. Store employee Josh was incredibly rude, hung up on me when I stated his district managed had ignored a letter from my lawyer (Josh said, "You have a lawyer? I can't speak to you" and hung up. That is not how things work, but he was ill-informed). Josh threatened to call the police on me when I went to pick up my car and requested that the work that had been done on my car be added to the invoice. While I didn't like any of my experiences with any staff during this process, Josh was possibly the most unpleasant and most unprofessional. District Manager Chris Gross was a horrible communicator, ignored emails from me, ignored a letter sent by lawyer requesting details about the car, and refused to provide me with the information explaining what work had been done on my car. Regional Vice President Damian Stebbins was smug, spoke to me in a manner that demonstrated he found this issue a waste of his time, and, yet again, refused to provide any information regarding the work on the car. He kept referring me to Monro's insurance company to receive that information, but their insurance company told me that I would need to receive the information from Monro themselves. As we can see, Monro at every level refused to put on the invoice the work that was done on my car - a very standard practice. This signals to me that they damaged my car elsewhere when working on it and they do not want to share or document the additional damage because they do not want to be held liabale.

Tires were also overinflated to random pressures. They're highly reviewed and seem like nice people, so maybe my experiences are the outlier. You decide. LONG VERSION: Some needed context: I check my lug nuts after every service because years ago another shop returned a car with lug nuts so loose that I had to pull over because the wheels were making noises as I drove home. Anyway, United Tire had a promo for a free alignment and could install tires the next day. I'd gotten an alignment and tire rotation there a few years ago but they didn't tighten the lug nuts properly - almost every one needed to be tightened. One wheel's lug nuts were so loose I could turn some by hand. I called and Lenny was apologetic and thanked me for letting him know and said something to the effect of "Ugh, I just talked to him about that!", so it seemed like an ongoing thing but I hoped they'd gotten it sorted out by now. Fast forward to now and after getting home I checked the lug nuts and they were WAY too tight this time. The spec is 94 ft-lbs, and my torque wrench doesn't measure breakaway torque, but with 14-in breaker bar it took almost all of my 185lb weight to loosen them. I jacked up each wheel and loosened and re-torqued them all, alternating between nuts and loosening in tiny increments to avoid snapping them. Unfortunately, one stud probably needs to be replaced because it has damaged threads that bind. The tires should be inflated to 32 PSI, but when I checked them cold the next morning they varied from 35-39 PSI. So another thing I needed to redo. United Tire offers lifetime tire rotation and while that sounds great, I don't know if I can take advantage of it. It doesn't save money to get free tire rotation but then need to replace damaged studs or lug nuts. If they could just tighten lug nuts properly, I'd probably keep going there. But they failed twice in different ways. And if they can't torque lug nuts, can I be sure the alignment was done right? After the free alignment I need to keep the steering wheel turned a little in order to go straight. It wasn't like that before. Every nut or bolt on a car can be over or under-torqued. This is the most basic stuff and unfortunately they've disqualified themselves for me. But maybe I'm the outlier.

I took my car elsewhere the 3rd time and they told me the angle at which they put the brakes on was causing that sound. I want something done properly the first time especially when paying such a premium. I believe I was overcharged, the place that ultimately fixed my brakes said they would have charged me in the $400 range. I heard Kings auto mechanic down the street are good and honest people I would suggest going there. Not to mention everytime I sit in there to wait I hear people calling about mistakes being made to their car like putting too much oil in or problems persisting after multiple trips to this mechanic. I believe they are good people but maybe some of the mechanics are not up to par.

If you are female, you know that many car repair shops just want to upsell services and parts because they think you don't know any better. That is NOT the case here! This year, I was in for inspection. I only needed a replacement tire to pass but Nicole also told me about the bubble in my other tire and that I will need brakes in the future (and would give me a quote). I ended up getting both tires replaced to be safe. Great service and not just looking for the upsell. She also applies any available coupons to my service sheet without me needing to ask.
