HealMedic Pharmacy & Wellness Center, is so clean and not overly crowded or overly stocked where things are spilling out and there's tags everywhere and it's just a mess. This is literally pretty calming and so accommodating. I recommend everyone to stop in here. It's not these big massive pharmacies, but it's so quaint and Soco is so sweet and nice and just accommodating. I think that's amazing. You don't have to wave someone down to help you. Went in to ask about supplements, and was encouraged to purchase an item, being told that I should relax, because I could bring back the product and get a full refund, if it wasn't working for me. I ended up buying it, because there was a "20% all pills" promo that was advertised out front. Turned out that the product wasn't working for me, and upon going back into the store, I was told by another employee that there's no way I could ever get a refund. When I looked up the item I was sold, it turns out that it was actually cheaper to just buy it on the manufacturer's site, even with the 20% discount anyway. And this was apparently one of their own in house brands too (which makes the markup even more confusing). So, in brief, if you see an item in store there that you like, just go online, and check the item's actual REAL price online, because there's a good chance that it's actually sold cheaper by the company that makes it. And don't believe the staff when they tell you to not worry about buying a product, because of their return policy.

A friend of mine tried the salt, started getting a very severe reaction from it, getting swollen legs and puffy face. Their soap is pure chemical base, the ingredients are a total lie - it does not even contain 1 of the actual ingredients in it. I visited the insan factory in korea, and thats why I know this. I got really into everything he was selling. He seemed very enthusiastic about helping me and I bought into it hook line and sinker. I bought the products, supplements, additional sessions, etc. I even read the books and saw the movies he recommended to better understand food and how it works in our bodies. Unfortunately, half way thru our sessions (so after 3 sessions), we both got frustrated that I was not losing any weight. Derek suggested that I go to his "doctor"...which happened to be the other woman I was considering and is NOT a real doctor. (I'll leave her name out of it because I never met her but I researched her through medical boards via other doctors and she is not properly credentialed). So I told Derek this and then never heard from him again. Again, this was a year ago. I was hoping maybe at the end of the year there would be follow up to check in and see if there was interest in working together but there wasn't. So that in turn left me uninterested as well. However, I am disappointed that I lost money on 3 unused sessions but honestly the way this all played out made me not want to call and argue for my money back. I thought I would come in for some education on eating. Boy, did I get so much more than that. Derek Johnson is the Nutritionist at New Metabolism. He starts you off with a 9 week program complete with a full metabolic exam, blood sugar exam and so on. Once you take the exams, he figures out your deficiencies and puts you on a supplement plan if need be. Then each week, he checks everything from body fat percentage, your eating plan, your sleep and energy levels. Based on what you tell him, he adjusts the plan as necessary. It turned out I was suffering from high blood sugar, a big vitamin B deficiency, Seratonin deficiency and adrenal fatigue. And after a few months of taking different supplements, my life is like night and day. All my friends say I look better, I'm trimmer, I sleep like a baby and I don't crash out after 1pm. I handle stress better and my mind feels alot sharper. The 9 week package may be a bit pricey for some people but totally worth it. He is also extremely professional from the materials he produces, his advice and meetings. He's extremely approachable and almost all of his clients are from positive word of mouth. He is very organized and punctual and flexible to meet with you anywhere - in person, Skype, or the phone. He really cares about your health and is happy to answer any questions you may have. A year later I still check in with him almost monthly and I always come away from my appointments learning more than the last appointment. If you're looking for a legit nutritionist (not someone who hands you a bottle of fish oil supplements and sends you off), go see Derek. You will not be disappointed!

Anyhow, It's really hard to fine someone who is skilled at this exam and the owner definitely is. The owner is also sending his son to Europe to study reflexology to add to their services. The only thing they are lacking is proper signage, which is why I went straight to Yelp after discovering them. We got followed around a bunch of the stores by employees, which made it very uncomfortable to shop. By the time we made it to Nature A Nutrition, my spirits were pretty low, but when we approached the store, Cutie immediately welcomed us in with a warm kindness the others were lacking. I was hoping to find Goji berries as I've heard they are good for women's health, and although they did carry them, they were a bit pricey to what I was hoping for. None the less, Cutie began giving us samples of black garlic and a certain ginger that she said was good for gut health after easing steak. It was so fun that I immediately forgot about how the others made me feel. She showed us a pomegranate collagen that was on sale and I said SOLD! Please make it a point to stop in and see her.
