For this "consultation", because we weren't there but 15 minutes, she's trying to bill us $997.74. How does ANY procedure for a child at a dentist office that lasts 15 minutes cost &997.74???? They have another office, Westwood Dental, which is open Mon-Thurs 7-5, and Fri 9-1. With that being said, I ended up getting a veneer done by them and while I was waiting the two weeks for my permanent to be made, it popped off twice (very common with the type I was having done). It turns out that they did not apply sealants to his back teeth - the very teeth that they claimed had ridges on top that would make them cavity-prone. So now they wanted to drill the cavities. Because the female dentist was not very kind - at all - in responding to my concerns - I asked to speak with Dr. Polina - only to learn that this lady was his wife. That was my last visit to his office. I found an excellent dentist for my child who indicated that he in fact did not need to have cavities filled on his back teeth. Dr. Polina is on the Medicare program - and many children coming to see him may not have the resources to scrutinize and challenge the work done at his office. I would suggest that potential clients look for dentists that have consistent 4 or 5-star ratings.

The chain of events went as follows. I received a text a few days prior to our visit confirming our appointment. I responded back "YES" to confirm as requested. Then I received a text saying that they emailed me a link to the new patient forms. I let them know that I had not received the email and was never responded back to. The morning of our appointments, I received another text stating that they had not received our forms yet. I texted back letting them know that I never received the email again and asked them to call me. I was told that they would call back after they were off the phone. They never returned my call and then gave me attitude when I showed up for our appointments because the forms had not been filled out yet. When I complained, in person, that no one ever picks up the phone there or calls back as they say they will, I was told that they were really busy that morning. No thanks... called another pediatric dentist that actually picked up the phone, made our appointments, emailed us a "Welcome to our practice" email with an online registration and calendar reminder about an hour after we spoke with them.

Also, my father has cancer and needed a dental clearance for a bone strengthening infusion- despite going in person twice (once for the checkup, then again to follow up on needing the letter) to tell the dentist office and provide fax/contact info, the next time we went to his medical doctor, they still had not received the dental clearance letter.
