One man shop in a small shopping center in The Colony. Not a lot of overhead seems like, but a couple glass counters and the guy carries cash if you want to sell. No numismatic deals here as (like most gold and silver guys) he will only give you what the gold or silver is worth with no premiums really. I went in with a bunch of Libertads which definitely sell for premiums but he would only offer me Kitco spot. For these you're better off just selling them on FB Marketplace cause all the gold and silver guys in Dallas/ Ft Worth area want to buy it below spot so they can make even more when they re-sell for the huge premiums that they deserve. I was able to sell 100 Troy oz of other silver coins that were just one-offs I had bought when silver was at $24 so I was ok to take the spot minus .90 Basic blocking and tackling here. While I was in the shop four or five people came in all looking to sell some gold and silver so he seems to be in the right place. He's a nice guy, straight up with you for the most part. He was kind enough to trade me some copies of 2013 silver ms70 pandas for some 2018 that he had to help fill out some holes in my collection. Just basic gold and silver I'd take here in the future, but premium coins I'd need to find another buyer. read more

Yesterday I brought my 9-year old grandson in with the handful of coins he'd collected; none were worth more than face value. Instead of brushing him off, Raymond spoke to him like a valued customer, taking time to educate him about what to look for in coins, and inviting him to take 2-3 items from a large treasure chest. While my grandson was sorting through the vast collection (he chose 3 interesting foreign coins), a woman came in, emotional over having to sell items from her recently-departed dad's collection. Recently stopped by KC with my mom to have some coins that my stepfather had collected before he passed away. I did some cursory online research and felt like I had a ballpark on what the collection might be worth. Ray, the owner, really took time to explain what each batch of coins was worth (or not) and why. His offer was over twice what I had ballparked on my own.
