I come here for donuts at least 3x weekly. For good reason! K D 's product is not only DELICIOUS, but ALWAYS FRESH, and REASONABLY PRICED! (I really can't ask for more when it comes to donuts.). I've also had their cinnamon rolls, fritters, and -- my favorite pastry of all time: CHEESE DANISHES, which are absolutely TOP NOTCH here! Best donuts we have had in Ventura County. Actually, anywhere! Always FRESH. Taste the way donuts are supposed to taste. The apple fritters are outstanding and the chocolate chip "bar", not sure what it's called, but its HUGE and addicting! The glazed donut holes are so pillowy and light 12 for $2. All the prices are low. We quit getting donuts awhile back as they either are closed or out of everything and the prices are ridiculous! Not at KD donuts. Prices are very reasonable. We go out of way every time we go to Ventura just for a donut. And the lady that is always there, not sure if she is the owner, but she is the sweetest! We luv her. read more

I had a late late night craving of donuts and through Yelp I found K D donuts never closes! I drove over there around 1 am & even at night this place isn't hard to miss. You can spot the sign near the street. There's a drive thru with a handwritten menu + prices of what they offer. The male owner helped me & I ordered a dozen of variety donuts priced at $10. What won my heart was the QUANTITY of donuts I was given!!! I expected a dozen but got almost two dozens of donuts! The box couldn't even close. Once I started eating the donuts ohhhh my gosh! This classic donut shop is the BEST! We were looking for a place to get a dozen donuts for a potluck and came across this shop. Lots of businesses were closed due to coronavirus, but they were open with a drive-through window. The donuts we got were HUGE and so delicious! Dude, who needs Krispy Kreams when this place exists? I mean, its not as fancy and pretty as KK, but the donuts here are truly exceptional. Seriously, a simple glazed donut, 15 seconds in the microwave and you have a melt in your mouth donut. Wow. I've driven by a bunch of times. I noticed it because of the unique little building and because it said open 24 hours. We came by around 8:30pm, not realizing it was a drive thu, the sign said, "honk for service". The donuts were INCREDIBLE! Suuuuper soft. I got the plain glazed and was blown away by how tasty and cloud-soft it was. We also got a maple donut and the blueberry fritter. Both were amazing. Great texture, super tasty, the fritter was almost like funnel cake. I have a new favorite donut spot. read more

I think they were so low on donut options because thanksgiving is coming up...they had a total of 4 donuts to buy and a couple donut holes. They didn't have any of the coffee drinks that were advertised.
