Great donut place will definitely come here for years to come owner was so welcoming and wholesome we ordered a dozen donuts and yet he stacked us with way more and made more than half of them freshly made in front of us topped any donut place I've been great tasting.

The donuts here are truly the best ever! The sweet lady that works that is always so nice and thoughtful and I cannot recommend stopping here and getting a donut. Prices are expensive in Cali, but this place remains affordable!! Best donuts I've had and even my gf is in love with them. GETTING HERE: Located on Telegraph Road, next door to DV's Mexican Grill. REVIEW: If you know, you know. Am I right? I am hit and miss with donuts, but since I am a frequent customer of the business located next door, I knew that on my most recent trip I had to stock up on some yummy donuts from KD's. Unfortunately, I don't have a comparison visit prior to c 1 9. Presently, there is a small area inside if you wanted to stay to snack, but for myself I placed my order to-go. Also, they have a drive-up! For donuts! Can you imagine? Next time I will do a drive-through to get my fresh donuts. I got a variety of items because donuts. They were so fresh and light some of them broke apart on the way home (oops!). I love that KD's has a bulletin board of biz cards of small businesses. What a way to give back! Bravo! Such kind and polite service. Much appreciated and highly recommended. :) Thank you!

all my donuts look smashed and some are mushy. also i got almost all chocolate in this box when I ordered maple bars, sugar donuts, and glazed. not worth the 18 bucks! also the chocolate bar is so flat and squished!!

My children and I swung by KD Donuts around 3 o'clock for an afternoon snack. There was a full selection and the quality of the donuts remained outstanding. The service was quick and efficient, and although the shop is small, there's a cozy dining area available. Situated centrally in Ventura, KD Donuts offers no-frills goodness at a reasonable price. A dozen mixed donuts for $16 is a steal considering their consistently delicious taste. Overall, KD Donuts is our go-to spot for delectable treats and prompt service.

I love love love this place. I have never had a bad experience here. It's understandable that things come up so just like for any store just call before hand. I tend to come here past midnight and the craving are always satisfied. They have the best maple with custard filling doughnuts. Always great customer service. From time to time they would throw in an extra doughnut. I absolutely love them, you can never go wrong by going here. read more

Sign says open til 5pm and drive thru open 24 hrs a day. Drive all the way from Oxnard to buy donuts for 50 hard working guys and gals. Arrive at 4:30pm on a Wednesday and it's completely closed donuts in 5he cases and nobody home. Just lost a huge order. Highly doubt I'll drive out of my way again for this place. read more

I had my dog in the car and was looking for a donut shop with a drive thru. He even gave my pug a donut hole. Score!!! I also judge every donut shop by its chocolate cake with chocolate frosting donut. These had crispy edges with moist center for the win. Going back tomorrow to get donuts for the whole family. read more

Haven't had better value for money yet! Got a variety of 6 pieces (Donuts and apple fritter) for about 6.5$. They all tasted awesome! I loved the soft consistency. You'll find a broad selection of different donuts, fritters and twists. The shop it self is no fancy, but classy old fashioned. Great! It's definitely worth a detour. read more

When we first walked in, we didn't know how to order and we stood there awkwardly until the store attendant addressed us. The baker there was multitasking between making fresh donuts and serving us which was really amazing. The place is definitely not a sit down place as the space is kind of small, but the donuts and cinnamon rolls are the best I have ever had. I think that having them fresh baked made them that much better. Will try and visit again next time to get the box! read more

THE BEST donuts in Ventura, HANDS DOWN! You can smell them all the way to my house by the hospitals, and they are always fresh and delicious. We tried this place for the first time today. We were pleasantly surprised to see a Mom & Pop donut shop with a drive-thru. And, even more to my surprise they had a blueberry fritter on the menu! We got 2, one for my husband & one for myself. Oh my! These were absolutely delicious. $1.75 each, not bad at all. We will definitely be back! So yummy!!!!! If you want to support small business, please support this quick stop unfortunately no pic, they honestly didn't last long enough to take one. read more

While the location appears to be sketchy, I assure you the donuts are delicious and worth it. I highly recommend the business invest $50 to get a legit sign, but otherwise, they are always open when I visit (usually between 7-8PM) and their donuts are delicious and fresh every time. Also, $8.50 for a dozen delicious homemade donuts is a great deal. read more

This place has really good donuts, I'll givem that but as far as a 24 hour drive through? No. I've gone 4 times in the last month between 5&7 and the front entrance and drive through has been closed. Really irritated considering they claim to be open 24 hours. Won't be going back. read more

KD's Donuts are about as real as it gets. Getting it how you live it. They chill in the dining room at night watching TV, the dude doesn't write down your order (he memorizes it!), and he even goes as far to give you a free milk or extra donuts. Ventura's best kept secret has been feeding children before school for years and stoners at 2 o'clock in the morning! They've beaten out Oktoberfest the restaurant. This place is more about donuts, it's about eating something that was created in a building that looks like a home. That homely spirit is baked into those donuts made just for you, and they're available fresh 24 hours a day! read more

First off, the lady can take credit cards but she doesn't know how. Two times in 2 months and her manager still hasn't taught her. We rolled up at 9:30 pm. She gave us a rude look until we asked if she accepted cards. We went to the ATM and came back and sat at the drive through window for 20 minutes trying to get her attention. She completely ignored us after we said "well be right back!" Ended up going to fosters donuts instead. Worst service ever read more

I was craving some donuts past midnight and everything in ventura was closed until I searched yelp and KD Donuts showed it had a drive through and was open 24hours. I can't believe that after living in ventura my entire life I had never had donuts from here!! I will never, I repeat never go anyplace else in Ventura for donuts. These are the best donuts nice and fresh!! I ordered a dozen plus apple fritters, big chocolate chip donuts and cookies for the family!! Wow these are delicious. The place looks run down but don't let that fool you. The Asian man there was really nice. Can't wait to come back for more!! read more

For over a week their debit card machine has been down, I personally believe it's a way for them to skim their taxes with customers using cash, it's 2019 not everyone carry's cash, or want to spend a fee at the atm for some donuts!! read more

I am quite fond of this little place. Better than Foster's or whatever else donut place I tried in ventura last time I was here. I enjoyed the croissant very much and the sugar donut had great texture too. My husband liked the glazed donut I brought back. He also tried the crumb cake and old fashioned. Overall a great experience, I will for sure return to this place again next time we are visiting. read more

Wow. AWFUL. Worst customer service EVER. We went in to buy donuts, should be noted that we are very regular customers and normally don't have any issues. We went through the drive thru ordered and she gave us the wrong donuts. We parked, went in and we politely asked to switch them out as we hadn't touched them just opened the box and noticed they were incorrect. She proceeded to say that they were ordered incorrectly and blamed the issue on us which was not the case. I asked her kindly if we could order new donuts and she grabbed the payment we had already provided and shoved it in my hand and refused service. Absolutely ridiculous reaction to a paying customer who kindly pointed out a mistake and even offered to reorder new items. She used her hand to shoo us out of the building and told us no. We will no longer support a business who treats its regular customers, or any customers like this. read more

This is the only late night donut spot in Ventura that I'm aware of, which is crazy, because who craves donuts at 2 pm? I've been going on occasion for the past 15 years or so, and have never been disappointed. Great donuts, nice people, and they always throw extra freebies in the bag. read more

Every bite was flavorful without being overly sweet, which is honestly hard to find. You can tell they really care about what they're making here. This is exactly the kind of spot you hope to stumble upon when traveling--and then wish you had back home. We'll 100% be back next time we're in Ventura. Highly, highly recommend!

They're very much a staple of the neighborhood you drink choices are nice to keep it simple but let me tell you what it looks amazing is Samy's mom's masterpiece that right there even if it does give you a heart attack you don't care you will go smiling I love the smell of this place but if you want to go variety, get the 64 count bigger buddy box or you can just do the nine count mini sampler either way you can't go wrong here. They accept electronic forms of payment and as well as good old hard currency the stuff we know.

I am a sucker for seasonal drinks. I have tried a few different ones and have enjoyed all of them. I primarily come for their Almond toast. Love the combination of strawberries and bananas on their toast. So good. My husband enjoys getting their acai bowls. He has gotten their peanut butter açaí bowls and likes it every time. Everyone who works there is always so sweet. The one thing I find a bit as a bummer is they only have outdoor seating and is very limited. It is on Main which has its own seating areas throughout the walking area. They do offer WiFi which is nice. Since it's on main, parking is determined by the parking lots near by. Overall, I have enjoyed coming.

We ordered and was told to pick up our drinks at the counter…read more Initially wanted the chicken and waffles but based on the pics on yelp, the waffle is very inconsistent (size, homemade vs eggo, etc). Due to that, we switched gears on what we ordered. Iced americano: phenomenal. Very smooth yet bold and refreshing Paneer dosa: a bit of a let down for me. I was not expecting it to be a plain dosa and chutney on the side. Masala dosa: this was better since it was filled with potato. Chicken sandwich: loved this, very juicy and balanced. Side of fries was excellent. The sandwich is small, just bigger than a slider. Finished in 4 bites. Fries with gunpowder: when we got this, it looks exactly like the regular fries. We figured they mustve forgot that we asked for gunpowder seasoning. We went back to ask for more seasoning, expecting them to just sprinkle it on. They were kind enough to remake it and bring it to us, which was very thoughtful. This time we could see the seasoning, but unfortunately they didn't taste any different. Don't get me wrong, the fries themselves were great- amazing crispy texture, but adding seasoning didn't do anything for them. Overall the hits were the Americano and Chicken Sandwich. Service here is fantastic, and the vibe is awesome as well. This is somewhere I'd stop for a small bite, but not the fill up.

It's the kind of place you actually want to slow down in. The drinks were just as impressive as the atmosphere. Thoughtfully crafted, visually stunning, and balanced in flavor--not overly sweet, just right. You can tell there's attention to detail in every glass. Service was warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It didn't feel rushed or transactional--more like you're meant to sit, enjoy, and stay awhile. Definitely one of those spots you come back to, not just for the coffee, but for the whole experience.

I came on Sun. afternoon, and it was super quiet and chill. I got their unique Shakerato- a shaken espresso served in a sleek martini glass. The shakerato was so good and elegantly presented. Pastries are from Cafe Ficelle. The lead barista is of the school that takes pride in crafting each drink and not letting the machine automatically do all the work. The brother sister owners bring their culinary wine and beer experience to their cafe, but they invested into learning about coffee. Sips uses Beacon roasters who actually train cafe baristas on how to produce the best shots using their beans, so it's a true coffee collaboration. The cafe vibe is bright, airy and cozy. The owner was there and we chatted for awhile- he said they are ultimately happy to be a neighborhood local cafe- they're not trying to be Starbucks and be super high volume. They want to serve the East end of Ventura, which does not have a lot of mom/pop style cafes and restaurants.

I will never go again! I am very much the loyal customer type, but I've had enough with this place. The eating area is disgusting and I am quite sure there is mold behind their ancient wallpaper. It makes me wonder about their (un)sanitary cooking conditions. With a 13 year old (total BRAT) frequently "working" there, I am curious about the food handling and safe food practices. The last straw today was when they refused to let my 3 year old son use their restroom. Where else was he supposed to go??? Here we come parking lot...... . read more

Their donuts are Delicious. We went to the walk-up window after the store front was closed and ordered jellies, Boston creams, a long john, and a couple sprinkles. The person working forgot to get us the long john but the other donuts were very tasty.eat. read more
