Before I begin, let me just disclose that I have been going to KD Nail for about 8 months or so. Well tonight I came in for my appointment (gel pedicure and dip manicure--my usual). The pedicure was fine other than feeling like they change the prices up all the time. I specifically said I wanted regular dip powder. She tried to do hot liquid gel on my nails which I stopped her and told her no just a normal dip powder. I didn't get any designs, I got the same color on all hands nothing fancy. Tell me why they charge for shaping and length for your natural nails? Like these are the nails I came into your salon with, and you are going to charge me to shape my nails when it's your job to do that. So when I checked out she told me the price which was a little higher than I normally pay. I said whatever I had to get somewhere so I paid. As a paying customer, I called when I left to injury about the pricing. Pedicure 57 because I got gel and my dip manicure was 42 and then charged me for shaping and length. When I tell you I have short nails I'm not sure why they charged me for length. So when I asked her about next time removing the gel and doing a basic color on my feet she said I will have to charge you to remove. Which makes no sense if I got it done at your salon and you remove it anyway to put it back on why would you charge someone to remove the gel. But the part that got me-- when I asked her if she would recommend if I shape my nails at home and just come in to get the dip powder she says "maybe you should do your nails at home then" I was driving and with the loud noises I wanted to make sure I heard her correctly so when I said "excuse me". She hung up. Guys when I tell you it's the disrespect for me. I am truly dumbfounded by the lack of empathy and customer service this salon has. But honestly, I should have read the review's because I'm noticing a lot of other people complaining about the same issues and then they comment on the reviews being even more rude. But it won't stop me from writing reviews about this salon because they don't care about their customers just the money they get from them. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!! while getting a standard pedicure, I asked the nail tech, who is the owner to Not use a nail drill bit on my feet, she used it after I told her not to. she said it's quicker I said no I'm a diabetic and metal on my feet is a no, no. I have never been to a nail salon until I got married in Milford, DE and I needed my nails done. I made an appointment for a full set of acrylic nails. First, I went in and no one greeted me. I was nodded by a woman (the manager?) over to a middle aged man sitting by the wall at the front of the 3 or so rows of nail stations. I explained to the guy that I needed nails for my wedding. The guy never even made eye contact. The guy did not even trim my cuticles, he just pushed them back a little bit and started drilling. So then when the guy put on the acrylic tips and I put my hands under the UV light for the gel to cure, my fingertips started burning! I thought this may just be a normal part of the process. I was very wrong! Two weeks later when I went somewhere else to get a fill the young lady gasped and showed me all the little red U shaped marks where the guy had drilled into all of my nail beds!!!! Now I will have to keep getting fills for the fake nails until the damaged parts of my own nails grow out. This is completely awful!!! The guy is a menace! The salon manager has to know how bad he is because she takes all the tips and she is watching over everyone like a hawk, to the point I actually wondered if all of the people working there are doing so voluntarily. For real. The woman who did my pedicure did not make any eye contact and she seemed afraid of the female manager. Do not walk - RUN AWAY! I have called the health department to make a full report. I came in for a manicure and no one greeted me. Then a lady (who seems to be the manager) approached me and told me to look for a color. Then I asked the man in the front how long was the wait for my usual technician and he asked the lady who appeared to be the "manager" and she snapped on me in front of all the customers. She literally yelled at me and told me that the technician I was asking for was too busy and that they only take appointments and since I was a walk-in I wasn't allowed to ask for the technician I wanted. She was very rude and unprofessional. She could have just said, she was not available at the moment and that someone else would be helping me (in a more moderate voice) Bottom line is, if she is the manager she should have better customer service so customers can keep coming back. read more

In a non descriptive strip mall the plce is reasonably clean and quite busy! Odd that Christmas decorations are up at the middle of summer. Looks like brand new expensive pedicure chairs. Posh! Very sanitary, but glad I brought my own polish read more

Came here with my sister for both of us to get a gel manicure and pedicure without an appointment and they were not busy. It was on a Thursday around 4pm. We were so happy they could take us right in as we had only a short amount of time and needed our nails done for a wedding on Saturday. They were life savers. The work was great too. Both of us were happy with the outcome. Sanitation was not an issue. All instruments looked either sanitized or new as I saw her taking them out of the package. I finally had the time to go to KD nails. You need time because they're usually busy and they don't rush you. I was a walk-in and they were able to take me at the time I went for what I wanted, which was a regular pedicure. I had a wonderful pedicure with a good soak, a lovely little massage, and a hot towel. Many other steps and I can't remember them all, but they added up to neat, clean feet and perfectly polished toenails. Not to mention a happy customer who will go back. Was not impressed. My husband and I went there to get pedicures together. My husbands feet are hammertoes on just his big toes. When the lady saw his feet she started speaking in her native language and proceeded to tell everyone to turn around and look at his feet, in which they did, and all began to laugh and chatter. I'm sure they have seen some weird and disgusting feet, but this is the profession they have chosen. I paid their pice and I believe they owed us the courtesy of doing their job in a professional manner. His feet are not disgusting, and he needs help with keeping the nails trimmed. I felt so bad for him. It truly was a very disappointing service rendered us. We will not return. read more

I asked for gel nails, the man immediately started painting my nails without any clean up. When I asked if they would do the traditional manicure I was ignored, rolled eyes at, and treated terribly. they then cut my cuticles after painting my nails, and told me afterwards it would be $15 extra to cut my cuticles. The nail materials were not clean or opened from new packages. My nails chipped the next day, when I returned for them to be repaired they called me a liar. I was very polite when requesting better service. Not relaxing and very upsetting to be treated so terribly and pay $57 for gel nails to last only a day. read more

So my experience wasn't bad just more of typical sanitation things that I noticed. I came to get a pedicure. The lady put on gloves and a mask as i would expect. While getting my pedicure another lady came in for a nail repair. The lady working on my feet began to work on her nail repair without removing the gloves then proceeds to work on my feet again with the same gloves on. There was also a guy working on another ladies feet (without gloves) and once he was finished he began to give someone else a manicure without washing his hand. Great price and happy with the results of my pedicure. Just think being mindful of sanitation is important. read more

I loved the gel manicure and pedicure that I received at KD Nails. However, it took almost 3 hours from the time I sat in the chair and walked out, and that isn't counting the amount of time I had to wait. I called ahead and was told the wait time would be 15 minutes (not a problem). I ended up waiting 50 minutes. All in all, I was there for almost 4 hours. I understood that they were busy, so that didn't matter to me at the time. Now, I had this done not even two weeks ago. I wanted to wait to voice my opinion so I could see how the manicure wore. After a few days, there were little bubbles coming to the surface of the gel polish on my fingernails and toenails. They were barely noticeable, but enough to upset me. Then, my nails started to chip. I was so sad. I had heard so many good things about this place. I had wanted acrylic nails, but there wasn't enough time after my pedicure, so I definitely want to go back and give that a try. Now, while the pedicure was lovely, I was slightly upset by something the nail technician asked me. While getting ready to work on my feet after they had been working for nearly an hour, he said, "Do you have some kind of condition on your feet? Are they always like this?" Um, no. I simply need a pedicure. I was mortified. I have been painting my own toenails, simply because I'm normally not a fan of other people touching my feet, but my friend wanted to go get mani/pedis, so I got one done. It was a little rude. I would like to go back and try again someday. The prices were fantastic. I will make an appointment next time. read more
