We ordered an arrangement for a birthday delivery. We ordered a design from one of the mega florist sites (maybe was FTD). It was a beautiful arrangement (with some succulents stuck in for focal interest) and was arranged in a mosaic vase. Photos from the giftee did not look exactly like what we had in mind, but the vase and the succulents that were included in the arrangement were a hit. She went above and beyond in creating pieces that my mother would've loved. My mother loved the color yellow--especially yellow roses. All four of the pieces created were customized to exactly what we were wanting for my mother. The quality of all the arrangements were so beautiful and Shellie really left such an impression of caring. I live in Atlanta and I have used this florist twice now to order flowers for my aunt in Katy, Tx. Both times I was so impressed and appreciative of what a beautiful arrangement they put together for us and were able to deliver on such short notice. It's always a huge gamble when ordering flowers, especially when you don't get to see thee arrangement beforehand and are not a local or have any experience, but it's been a relief to know they do their job so well. I saw a floral arrangement listed on their Instagram from two years ago and called to see if they could make it the next day for my mom's birthday. The flowers looked ok for what they were BUT everything on the card was spelled wrong and they called me 3 hours before they delivered a surprise bouquet to me to make sure I was home. Not much of a surprise when the florist calls you first, I've never seen that before and I've received alot of flowers. Also they were uncooperative with senders requests. Well I did it again...Bit a little more off than I could chew. After a Sunday night on the couch, I had to make things right. I looked for florist close to her job to ensure a swift delivery. KD's doesn't have much to show on here but I was short on time & low on options. I needed outta the dog house quick! So I gave KD's a shot and they did not disappoint. Placed the order over the phone. The lady who answered was very kind and patient. The wife was very impressed by the presentation of the flowers & chocolates. I ordered a sympathy bouquet for my cousin and his family from KD's over the phone late last week (from out of town). I knew pretty much what I wanted--white roses and lilies--and generally how much I wanted to pay. The young lady I spoke with was both accommodating and helpful. She steered me toward the lower end of my price range as I explained to her that I didn't want anything "over the top." The flowers were delivered as scheduled the following day, and my cousin texted me a photo. I went in for a simple wedding consultation with my fiancé and we were treated rudely from the moment we sat down. I started looking through her floral books and quickly saw she was way above my price range ($200 just for ONE bouquet!) but wanted to stay and try working with her anyway to honor her time and business. Everything I asked for, however, she said she couldn't do. Tulips? Nope. Purple? Not a chance. Lavender? "I don't do lavender." For everything she shot down from me, she offered no suggestion or alternative. She clearly wanted me to design the whole thing and tell her exactly what I wanted so she could just put the flowers in a vase and be done with it. Even further-she didn't write down a single thing I said the entire time. All of the arrangements I was coming up with, I had to write down. All the prices she vaguely threw at me, I had to write down and calculate. It was very apparent that she had already decided not to work with me from the moment I walked in and she did absolutely nothing to hide it. Advice for any brides-stay far away from this florist. I walked in the day before my anniversary and was greeted by two of the friendliest people. I explained what I wanted and they had no problem doing it. I did state it was for my husband (we are a gay couple) and they didn't mind one bit. So I continued with my order and paid for it to be delivered the next morning between 10am and 12pm and it was right on time!!! I will definitely use them in the future!!! The arrangement was full and colorful just like I had asked for... he loved the flowers and when I saw them after he brought them home, I loved them also!! I advised them we were a gay couple for 1 reason, I didn't want to infringe on anyone's beliefs nor did I want to support a business that had an issue with gay people. I was treated as a customer, nothing more nothing less... and that is what I expect... they were so nice and accommodating for my wants as a consumer and that was that!! I recently ordered a funeral arrangement. It was quite beautiful; however the message was a hot mess. The florist had been asked to sign the card: In my Father's house are many mansions - a quote from the 14th chapter of the book of John. The message read: In my father's house our mini mansions. Really? Just typing in the first 4 words would have brought up the quote on the internet. So if you are leaving a faith-based message, know that giving a source over the phone is not enough. Use a trite note that they recognize or email the message. It was embarrassing to be the sender of such a note. At the price we paid, I expect the florist to get the message right. Others sending the arrangement felt personally slighted. Lesson learned. Use another florist. read more

There are a lot of really great flower shops in the greater Houston area. This one stands out because, really, they "never say no". A homecoming snafuu left us without a corsage. Even though I called on Friday for a Saturday pick up, KD's was able to meet the tight deadline with grace and laughter. The corsage was a bit bigger than we wanted (a tiny girl was the recipient and I'd asked specifically for a small & delicate presentation) but beautiful orchids and a nice touch of 'sparkle'. Very disappointed in the arrangement. I asked them to put assorted flowers on a grapevine wreath for my mother's memorial service ... the same wreath they provided for my father's service last year. I also ordered 2 large plants and 2 cut flower arrangements. They delivered the day before the service. The flowers on the wreath had no water source, therefore the star gazers were closed and wilted. This was to be the main center arrangement, however we had to sit it among other tall plants to disguise the poor quality of flowers. Very disappointed and embarrassed! read more
