I went in with my husband and little one on Tuesday afternoon to place an order on behalf of my dad for my mom's birthday. We were greeted by Asia/ Aisha (I didn't get the spelling of her name). The designer, Elizabeth was on the phone placing an order so Asia/ Aisha and I spoke about what I had in mind for my mom's bouquet. She quoted me what she thought it would come out to based on my inspiration pictures. She was very friendly and so appreciative that we had decided to shop at Scent & Violet. Once Elizabeth was available, I gave her some details on what colors and flowers my mom liked, she went to get some flowers to give me an idea of what the finished bouquet would look like. I placed my order for delivery for 4/17 before noon and sure enough they delivered the flowers on 4/17 at 10:27am. My mom loved her flowers and was super happy with all the colors and flowers. I will definitely be returning to Scent & Violet. Everyone there is so kind and I was very happy with the price I paid for the bouquet and delivery. I would definitely recommend Scent & Violet to anyone looking for a local flower shop! I should also mention they have a selection of local flower seeds as well.

Truly the picture below speaks for itself. I was nervous ordering flowers for Mother Day because I did not know a trusted Flower shop in Houston, but I have now found my go to place! This arrangement is one of the most beautiful, stunning flower arrangements I have ever seen. Furthermore, I had requested for bright colors because my bf's mom really like bright colors and they really listen. They have captured her vibrant, vivacious personality in an arrangement. She was so so happy and thus it made my day as well. Thank you to the florist at Scent and Violet, flower arrangements is an art form indeed and we were lucky to witness such mastery.

I wanted to send flowers to a friend opening in a show at TUTS, but I never just send general flowers, I like to match the flowers to the show and/or the character a friend is playing. In this case my friend was playing the chimney sweep in "Mary Poppins". I tasked Amra, the designer, with using floral elements that look like they might be the tools a chimney sweep would use BUT not have the arrangement look like a novelty or comedic arrangement. Amra found unique flora that created the concept perfectly and, at the same time, crafted an stunning arrangement that was stylish and colorful - perfect opening night flowers for the production!

They matched a design I chose on their website, used the colors I requested, and avoided the gladiolas that so many use and I requested should be omitted. (I know I sound really picky, and I am. I loved the selection of arrangements. They had a great selection of plants and arrangements for different occasions. The flowers used were fresh and the prices for the arrangements were comparable if not better than other florists. My Dad called & told me he was on the way to a funeral. A neighbor from when we were kids. I knew he did not buy flowers. My Mom used to take care of all of those things so now I help when I can. I looked online & funeral flowers are crazy expensive! Hundreds of dollars! I grew up in Houston and whenever we needed flowers we went to flower row on Main Street by the medical center. So I googled "flower row" and found this store. I called, asked what they had in stock that we could pick up within the hour and the person otp gave me instructions on how to see the arrangements & prices online. They were very helpful and said they would hold the arrangement I liked for me. I sent our son to the shop with my credit card to pick up the arrangement & meet my Dad at the funeral home. Y'all, I depend on reviews, especially when I live in a different city. Scent & Violet had great rating, so I used to order flowers for a loved one who was ringing the bell for last chemo at MD Anderson. I ordered by phone as I wanted pink (for cancer) but not just pink. The person on the phone was so helpful and gracious and even thanked me for trusting them with such a special occasion. I specified a time for dropping as it's so hot, this was honored & the best part is the delivery person sent me a photo of the flowers while confirming they were delivered. I've rarely been able to see what I sent unless recipient sends a photo. Everything about this place was top notch. read more

Review update ! This place made such a great impression on me the first time it would be not smart to not use them again! Called and asked for same day delivery. I believe I spoke with Amara. Asked about a bouquet within my budget. She created a bouquet tied in burlap for me and it came out beautiful! She also said she would deliver after lunch and the bouquet was delivered at 12:00 on the dot. Idk how they grow or water their flowers but they smelled amazing! Friend later gave feedback to me that the flowers were beautiful and lasted at least 2 weeks. Would use them again. Wow! So, I live in Austin and my mom recently started a new job in Houston. I wanted to send some, "have a great first week" flowers to her. Of course I looked to Yelp for guidance and as usual Yelpers delivered. I found Scent & Violet. I called to place my order, but you can easily order online. The person who took my order was super nice. I was able to communicate a pricepoint and she made suggestions based on that. I really just said that I wanted something bright and cheery, the result was beautiful! Our business model has been about building relationships: relationships with our customers, our neighbors, and our vendors. We owe most of our success to them. They have been our teachers, our promoters, and our most valuable advisers. Majority of our work is repeat business, and it feels great being able to develop relationship with people over the years.We specialize in everyday floral design and everyday occasions. Our design style is constantly evolving and morphing. We strongly believe that style should be dynamic. While our design style is mostly based on European garden design with a modern twist, we love bringing in elements of Asian, South American and African floral schools of design (Come to think of it - we should probably call our style Houstonian - diverse in color, style, and taste just as Houston). Being uniquely situated between the Energy Corridor and Westchase, we also enjoy serving our corporate clients with beautiful displays for their offices and special events...

She loved it so in the end that's what mattered most to me. Because the staff was so nice, I chose MAYBE I would recommend them. My only hesitation is that I like to get value for my spend, so I am not sure I will choose this florist again unless I was 100% certain about the size of the arrangement.

He delivered exactly what I wanted for our ceremonial arch and my bouquet was more elegant and exquisite than I imagined. I allowed him and the team to create a wonderful bouquet without limits. I picked the color scheme and the ribbon and they did the rest. Our table vases came out beautifully and he was more than happy to use the vases I supplied. I almost didn't hire a florist but I am so glad my husband recommended Thomas and his team at In Bloom. They were all very kind and they are great artists! If you are a discriminating shopper who expects A-1 customer service and a product that delivers a big punch, then look no further! Scent and Violet delivers both and so much more! After reading numerous Yelp reviews of Houston florists, the ones for Scent & Violet stood out far above the others. I visited their web site, narrowed my selection to three for consideration, and then the fun began. Amra was a true jewel with whom to coordinate the final selection for my baby sister's milestone birthday. Without making me feel hurried to place my order, Arma spent a great deal of time answering my every question and concern, for which I am most grateful. And, this blew my mind ... when I upgraded the arrangement to the largest size offered, Amra recommenced the less expensive modest size saying it was more attractive. Scent and Violet actually lost additional funds! How often does this happen? My sister was extremely delighted with the arrangement and could not quit gushing over its beauty. An email confirming delivery and a picture of the arrangement was sent to me - again, service above and beyond. This is now my go to florist for any occasion. I found scent and violet online by searching for florist near the "energy corridor" (I-10 and Dairy Ashford area). I was planning to send flowers to my wife's office for her birthday and wanted something special, including roses and tulips (my wife's favorite flower). Leaving nothing to chance, I decided to go to the florist in person in lieu of placing the order over the phone. I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail...for example, I was asked what my wife's favorite color was to ensure the arrangement was made just for her. The result was perfect...purple tulips with white roses, lilies, a mix of green and other small purple flowers....added a "happy birthday" balloon and it was terrific. My wife loved it and her co-workers thought it was beautiful. Lastly, I ordered it on Thursday and requested it to be delivered Friday morning. They delivered it approximately 10 AM. In summary, a florist who cares and obviously loves what they do, a first class operation! read more

This past year, I have used Scent & Violet for birthday, anniversary and get-well flower and plant arrangements. Each one delighted my recipients. The flowers are fresh, S&V's responsiveness and delivery are very good. The "delivery complete" notices with a photo are a big plus. Also, their web site is quite decent as one mulls what to send and in what price bracket. The designers are intuitive listeners par excellence. For one example, within a fair price point, when I wanted just a little more added touch than a party balloon for a sparkly little girl, it arrived with a couple glittery pipe cleaners picks formed into clever heart and spiral shapes and butterfly clips that served as her hair accoutrement the next day for school! btw Men and boys, not just the ladies and girls, like the attention I give them on their special days as well. Has such beautiful flowers. I was informed my best friends grandma had passed away and she wanted me to attend with her. I wanted to get flowers so i asked what her grandmas favorite colors were and her favorite flowers were as well. She said it was purple, and yellow and daisies. I went here and asked for purple and yellow flowers with daisies. They gave me the prettiest bouquet anyone could ask for. I also went here again for my sisters wedding. I had a simple order, orange and blue flowers with no lilies or purple. I got just that. She loved them, she even added them to a vase in her living room! My mother recently passed away and I live in another state. My relatives that live in the area are elderly or not able to easily get around. Scent & Violet was there to help. I placed my order on line but then called them to make sure I had entered the necessary data. They were very helpful and understanding. They delivered the bouquet the very next day. They sent me a picture of the placement on my mother's grave. So beautiful- their arrangement was stunning. Made me cry and very grateful they provide such a service. I have to give this florist shop 5 stars because of their quality work and excellent customer service. It was an extremely busy day for me and I realized I forgot to order some flower for my friend in Texas so online same day delivery was not the option. So I decided to call the local shop at 4:30pm and I found Scent & Violet. The lady was so nice and told me she didn't have any driver, however, she could deliver herself after 6pm. I told her how much I want to spend, the colors I like and she did her magic. I have found a local shop in Houston from now on. Very reasonable price and beautiful flowers. Strongly recommend. I telephoned Scent & Violet after an unfortunate experience with another florist. Flowers ordered earlier in the week to be delivered Sat for a Monday am funeral. Although a charge was posted on Visa, I never received an invoice or delivery confirmation. I found S&V on Yelp Sat morning 10a. They graciously accepted my flowers' order; delivered the flowers on a Saturday after closing hours to a Katy funeral home by 4pm. So thankful to be treated respectfully and kindly. Other family members will check out the flowers Monday but I expect them to be beautiful. read more

Last week we received a lovely arrangement to place on a table during an anniversary party for a number of our coworkers. That was July 11th and there were numerous compliments on it. It is a very simple arrangement of cream roses and a type of purple filler with greenery. As of today 7/18/19 it still looks as lovely as it did the day we received it. I have it at the front desk and I have people daily comment on how pretty it is. I cannot say enough good things about Scent & Violet! When I needed a tasteful, yet grand arrangement done they were able to listen to what I had in mind and procure the most amazing arrangement. It brought tears to my mother's eyes- that's how good it was! I'm so glad I left this order in their capable hands... especially for such a sensitive occasion. I came home today to find a note on my door saying my gift was with my neighbor. My basket with Poinsettias was beautiful along with a box of chocolates. It is my birthday and what a wonderful gift.
