When your teenage son says, "TONIGHT we felt the spirit of Aloha", you realize that this experience was more than money can buy and better than any other adventure on the island! We loved the photos and videos that we couldn't have captured on our own! Thanks to Ethan and Ka'aha for being the kind of guides that make you feel at home. Conversing with them was easy and enjoyable. We're still in awe of the huge turtles and majestic eagle rays that Ethan and Ka'aha pointed out swimming near/under our brightly lit boards. The beautiful sunset was followed by a sky blanketed with stars. It was truly a peaceful and soul satisfying experience to paddle board at night with Kealohi Surf! read more

Again and again I would book this experience! I can't shut up about it to all my friends and family. Not only is is a super fun evening activity, it is also a great way to get some professional photos/drone video while on vacation! Jeff was such a knowledgeable and helpful guide. He walked us through everything before we got on our boards and during our tour, he recommended a few places to have dinner. We saw soooo many turtles and the conditions were perfect. JUST DO IT! Seriously. As parents of six kids (with ages ranging from 2 to 17) it is nearly impossible to find an excursion for everyone... let alone one that will light up the minds and faces for all. Right? Well, this is the one! All the way back to the hotel I just kept hearing "thank you Mom," "thank you Dad," "that was so amazing," "everyone was so nice," "I loved seeing all those turtles... the stars... etc." I heard it all and my heart was full. So so grateful. Ricky, Alejandro and one of the founders Franco were so kind, fun, professional and ultra safe with my young family. Their training and constant oversight ensured our safety and enhanced the experience. They were always nearby yet they were careful to allow each of us the necessary time to just slow down and experience the peace and beauty of the Rainbow Bridge area of historic Haleiwa (North Shore) in a way we never had imagined. We started our adventure during an unreal Sunset and things just got better from there. All my kids have been wanting to see a turtle and each saw 10-15 of them... but not just "saw" because these turtles love the lights underneath the boards so they literally swam alongside us and are "right there." Our photographer was the best! He captures the before, during and after so you can literally leave your phone in the car and just relax and enjoy the float. We had 120 professional photos in our inbox by the time we made it back to the hotel and they will be cherished forever (and immediately posted by our teenage daughters ). Thank you Luis, Franco, Ricky and the whole team for exceeding expectations and giving us an evening we will talk about for many years to come. Wow, what a memorable and fun experience. I am a novice when it comes to paddleboarding and the rest of my family have never done it. However, despite our lack of experience our guide Ethan helped us get the hang of it in no time! From the get-go Ethan was kind, patient, considerate and made us feel at ease especially since the rest of my family had never paddleboarded, let alone paddling out for their first time in the dark! Most importantly, Ethan brought the FUN!! Even my young son took in everything like a sponge and because of this experience alone, is eager to take up paddleboarding and someday "paddleboard like Ethan". Thank you so much Ethan for this experience, and thank you to KeAlohi Surf for making this a worthwhile and unforgettable adventure. We encountered 17 beautiful turtles (we've never seen them that huge before!!) as well as a manta ray! Honestly the most amazing experience we had! This is a MUST do in Hawaii. I had never done this before and the staff was key in making this one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Had the best time paddle boarding with the turtles and the crew! They were so helpful with educating us on how to paddle board and were so patient with our group. They had a photographer who took pictures of our time out on the water, which were amazing photos! The crew showed us each turtle that would swim by and kept the trip exciting! Will definitely be back! If you have never paddle boarded before or haven't done the night time trips, this is the place to go to!! You will not regret it! read more

I signed up for the tour just based on photos, and I am SO GLAD I did!! This little tpur is easily one of the highlights of this trip for me. The instructors are SUPER chill and fun to hang out with, the river was alive with fish and turtles, the photographer was charismatic and had everyone smiling naturally for photos, ​and seriosly, WHERE ELSE DO YOU GET TO DO AN LED PADDLEBOARD TOUR? This was such a unique and fun experience and my boyfriend and I would recommend it to anyone! They keep a box on shore for your things, and an instructor carries a dry bag for small items in case you need it. Parking is super easy in a lot across the street from the meeting point. Because this is a tour that starts at late sunset and go into the night, know that the start time will shift a little with the sunset, but do your best to be on time amd just be flexible! Nature will do its thing! read more

Absolutely amazing paddle board experience! Keola, Ricky, and Grig we're absolutely amazing! They were so patient with us knowing it was our first times on the boards! They gave us lots of knowledge on the sea turtles and pointed them out to us whenever they were near! They were super friendly and made us all feel comfortable and welcomed and chatted with us throughout our paddle boarding experience! Justin took absolutely amazing photos and showed us some awesome previews of them right when we got out of the water! We had such a unique experience paddle boarding at dusk, seeing the beautiful sea turtles below our glowing boards - it was awesome! We had a group of 12 with ages as young as 9 and shared some of our paddle boards with our younger children. Such an awesome experience! The guys did an awesome job from start to finish working extra hard to make sure everyone felt confidant and safe while paddling up river. This experience literally made my trip! the guys were amazing fun and really easy to talk to. we were a larger group but they were beyond patient with us and taught us what to do as this was our first time on paddle boards. We saw lots of turtles and they made sure to point them out to us whenever they swam by. they Had a photographer that took outstanding pictures of us with a camera and drone along the way who was just as friendly I would do this every night if I could! Top notch service, truly amazing and unique experience, exemplary staff are just some comments I have to say about Kealohi Surf!!! We just finished our tour a few hours ago and boy will this encounter live in our minds forever! My husband was searching the internet on activities we can do when we visit Oahu and sent me the website to Kealohi Surf. At first I was surprised he sent it to me because he knows once I have my mind set on doing something there's no way I'll change my mind. To top it all off my husband is deathly afraid of any activity in the ocean especially since he has an extreme fear of things in the ocean especially sharks so paddle-boarding at night was not exactly something he would ever entertain doing. I called the number on the website and got a chance to talk to Luis (very patient and great answering my millions of questions). Talked to my hubby and somehow got him to agree to let me book a reservation. Mind you the whole time leading up to the time of the tour my hubby is still trying to back out of going. We arrive to the meeting site and are met by Ricky (tour guide that night) & Yasuo (greatest photographer). My hubby right off the bat notices there's only 3 boards meaning it was only me, himself, and the tour guide! I'm sure my hubby's anxiety was off the charts since he was telling himself the whole time on our way over that at least there's a group of people going so the whole area will be lit up. I was getting worried that my hubby would back out but Ricky and Yasuo just made him feel so at ease that he went for it. We pushed off just as the night sky envelopes the whole ocean to darkness and what a totally different ambiance the nighttime brings! Intrigue, calm, sounds you normally don't catch in the daytime and just your overall surroundings are all facets of this tour. Paddle-boarding is quick to learn and what a way to experience it for the first time at night where all your senses are heightened. We encountered our lovely turtles nicely swimming by and boy did we see them up close and personal! We saw several baby turtles and a mother lode gigantic one! This one was HUGE! We also encountered another baby turtle sleeping as we made our turn back towards the ocean. We saw some fish as well. Believe it or not my hubby even felt comfortable standing on his board on our way back! This was all due to Ricky's great conversation and expertise in helping my hubby feel at ease. Once we made it back to shore we were met with Yasuo where we took some epic pictures to cap it all off. My hubby told me once we made it back to the car that this experience tops anything he has done so far. I was in shock since he has done skydiving and shark cage diving in our previous visit to Oahu. My hubby said all experiences are definitely in his top 5 but the nighttime paddle boarding took the prize. He said this tour was unique, thrilling, and really elevated his experience with the fact that he had an extreme fear of living things in the ocean. For anyone wanting a unique paddle-boarding experience I HIGHLY recommend checking out Kealohi Surf. They truly deliver. Props to Luis, Ricky, and Yasuo!!! This was a great experience. We did the evening paddle board tour with Denson and Ethan and it was out of this world. They were so patient and caring. This was my first time paddle boarding and they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. The tour was amazing saw some cool fish, a tuna and many turtles. I highly recommend this tour and this company. They go out of their was to ensure you have a great experience, feel at ease and safe and really get to know. We were browsing some of the local stores and popped into Kealohi Surf shop and were greeted by Louis; big smile, gracious, kind personality. As we were checking out he told us about his evening SUP tour of the turtles on the river. We immediately signed up! We drove back in the early evening, greeted by Ricky (our guide) btw - we learned Ricky is a lifeguard on the North-shore and works the pipeline. Wouldn't you feel safe?!?Absolutely recommend this unforgettable experience - we even saw eagle rays. We just got married a week before.. Most amazing way for us to wrap up our honeymoon! read more

Such an epic adventure! Have paddled boarded, rode a catamaran, snorkeled, & zip lined & done most standard Hawaii adventures but this one takes the cake for being totally unique. Starting off around sunset, quite possibly the most beautiful time of day....Then as the sun sets, make the absolute most of every minute of sacred Hawaii time by setting off on a night time ocean adventure. Paddle boarding at night in the beautiful dark sky over the water. When the suns up there's so much beauty to see all around you from the mountains to the sky, neverless the ocean, but without all that distraction there's a calmness and you become so present in your immediate surroundings & just the peace that night brings. The light underneath lighting up the ocean, allowing night vision of ocean life. Unmatched. 10/10. Strongly recommend. Crew was charismatic & funny. Couldn't have been smoother or easier. My family & I had the best time. Cherry on top was the sick shots to remember it all & share our adventures long after we are home. Do this!! read more
