From the very beginning, the experience with Island View Shark Tour was outstanding. I found them on Google and decided to call to book. The person I spoke with, Kaiea, made the process so easy and convenient--he was incredibly helpful and friendly. From that moment, I knew I wanted to support this business. As the tour date approached, they stayed in great communication, asking me to email to confirm and making the payment process simple. I always felt reassured that my booking was set. On the day of our tour, we arrived at the boat harbor, and thanks to the detailed email with directions, their location was easy to find. The three young men running the tour were not only professional but also clearly passionate about what they do. They made sure we felt safe, informed, and comfortable the entire time. My family, our guests, and I all felt the perfect mix of excitement and security. The vibe, enthusiasm, and overall energy were just amazing--it truly couldn't have been better. This was an unforgettable experience, and I absolutely want to do it again. Island View Shark Tour is a local business worth supporting. They give you a genuine, safe, and thrilling experience while keeping the spirit of Hawaiʻi alive. Please, please book with them--you won't regret it! Also, I have to add in that they provided photos of us and gave it to us very quickly

Truly once in a lifetime experience. It was a picture perfect day to swim with the fish(es). Our guides were not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable. They are incredibly in tune with the environment and never felt in danger. At one point, we had 10 sharks and one barracuda circling us. The water was an incredible blue and watching sharks swim by was breath taking. Highly highly recommend this family owned business. You won't be disappointed.

Wow. Just.. wow. An incredible experience for my Fiance and I. Easy booking to start and the instructions on where to meet them was self explanatory. The crew - Sam, Makoa and Poa (sorry for misspelling or even getting the third name wrong ) - was awesome. Great information about the different kinds of sharks, dos and donts and they actually made conversation with us. It was a bucket list item and we're glad we got it checked with the Islandview team! Highly recommend.

i have gone shark diving with islandview 3 times this year and in my eyes there is no other choice! These guys are so welcoming and helpful whether it's your first time diving or 100th! They also offer free photos & videos which is insane taking into account that other shark diving guys charge an insane amount.

My husband and I absolutely loved our time swimming with the sharks! The guys from Islandview were super friendly and professional. We would definitely book again with Islandview Hawaii next time we are in the area.

Mahalo Islandview and the crew for taking us out to see sharks! We were pretty nervous with cage-free snorkeling with one of the scariest predators out there! As it was my first time snorkeling, Sam & the crew reassured and checked on us frequently. We chose the 8am tour and the water was already choppy, oh well, definitely take some meds if you have sea sick. Right when we got to the diving spot, there was already 2 sharks swimming around the boats. I think we spotted 5 during the swim. There was one shark swimming right below us, that was scary but also an amazing experience. The best part was that they took lots of pictures for us for FREE!! Don't hesitate and book them for a memorable experience. Also best açaí bowl is on this side of the island too (check out Haleiwa Bowls)

This was such a calming and beautiful experience. Went on a bright, sunny day (not always the easiest to find in the North Shore) and the waters were so blue with four Galapagos sharks in view. This time around they were a bit hesitant, so we weren't able to get as close but it was such a relaxing and awe-inspiring sight nonetheless that dissipated most fears about these lackadaisical predators of the deep. The crew gave some of the best advice for the experience - leave all your presumptions behind and experience the world for yourself. Pono, Bono and Koa were great guides with evident experience and a respectful approach to wildlife - no chum in the water, just observing and existing. Definitely recommend - positive that sets you at ease and makes the experience feel like just another beautiful day at sea. They were also super helpful and attentive to those on board! Only note: would love to learn a little bit more about the sharks we saw and would recommend a pin for the location or a pier number to more easily locate the boat. Only note: would

I could not have asked for a better first time adventure swimming with sharks in open water then with Island View. We have done many big boat snorkel trips but this was super cool. I felt like our "family friends" were taking us out for the morning. We saw lots of Galapagos sharks, 1 very big tiger shark and ended the trip with a pod of spinner dolphins. The 3 guides were so kind, knowledgeable and chill. They took the fear out of the experience and made it a memory to last a lifetime. (Especially for my teen daughter who wanted to do this for her senior trip) With only 7 guests on the boat it was wonderfully intimate. And I love that they took the photos and then air dropped them to our phone. Thank you for making my daughter's dream come true

Great family owned business. We had an incredible experience and was one of the best highlights of our trip! Thank you for making us feel comfortable in the water and being so knowledgeable on the area and what to expect. The underwater pictures and videos were a bonus!

Coolest thing you'll do in your entire life with the most rad company! I was so nervous leading up to it, but I instantly felt calm and confident thanks to these guys. It was a very freeing experience. They take about 3 miles out in the water and attract the sharks with the boats motor. The instructors get in the water first and then safely bring you in the water when the excursion is over. They guide you throughout the experience and make you feel at ease. 10000000/10 experience thanks to this company and their employees.

If you are looking to swim with sharks, this is the company to do it with. This is a family company that knows the island and ocean very well. Crew was great and very experienced. Such a great experience and would definitely do it again! If you typically get sea sick, I would highly recommend taking something for it as the waves can we choppy out there.

Islandview Shark Dive was an amazing experience!! Guides were very friendly, knowledgeable & made us feel super comfortable the whole time. They also took amazing pictures during the dive for us!! Can't wait to go out again with them.

Incredible experience. The guys who take you out are so easy going, but also do everything so professionally with the highest degree of care. There were some people in our group who were more fearful/apprehensive than the others, and they made a point to help them out and make sure they were comfortable but still got the most out of their experience. Worth every penny. Pro tip, cheaper with the Groupon, when you book on Groupon it sends you a code and you input that when booking the time on the Islandview site.

The crew was very helpful and made sure we felt very safe to do it. We hung on to a rope connected to the boat and just went with the waves. We went out on a choppy morning, so the only downside was some got seasick from the waves. Im glad we didn't do the cage cause I imagine we be tossed around with the waves. Other than that, it was super awesome. Only 6 of us went out so it was a nice small group. The photographer was great (see photographs - cost extra for the photos), the gal who took us out was very directive and could read the sharks body vibe so she knew how to guide us. And thanks captain Ronnie for navigating the choppy ocean.

With the times, if there are not enough they will consolidate times. We were signed up for 10am but got moved to 8am. You meet at Haleiwa docks near the blue hut (see photo). They provide mask, snorkel, and fins. You should bring a rash guard or wetsuit. The ride out is about 15 mins and as is typical in Hawaii, water can be choppy so you might get a little seasick. They give you instructions on the boat. Once there you hang on to a rope on the side of the boat and they take you individually to dive down closer to the sharks. We got lucky because there were tiger sharks (see photos). The cost is about $150 person but I would recommend paying some additional money for the go pro. You really want some documentation of what you did and saw. It's $50 for 2 people. They also have $250 option for photos and go pro but I think the go pro was enough. The people were really good and it was a great experience for all of us. Strongly recommend.

Not only are the prices reasonable, but the service is great too. They made sure we had everything we needed for our kayaking adventure. The actual Surf N Sea store has SO MUCH stuff...clothes, swimwear, flip flops, and more. They even sell water and sodas. Plus, they have a bathroom. Not sure if it's for everyone, but they offered it to us she once we were going to kayak. The service in here is great too! We arrived a little more than 30 minutes prior to our charter time, unfortunately the captain missed us at check in and we joined a later charter which worked out really well for us. Captain Ken was our boat captain and he was very kind & knowledgeable, he provided us alot of information prior to us taking off and while we were out on the water. He also had floating camera handles he allowed us to use - thanks Ken - we didn't even think about this. The First Mate & crew on our charter were great and very informative. It was whale season in Hawaii while we were there so we were able to see sprays from the whales on the trip out to the shark encounter area. We were able to see whales breaching the water in the distance, we also saw alot of sharks. The charter takes us 3 miles off shore & then hooks up to the shark cages that are tethered out in the open water while charters go to and from. It is about a 20 minute boat ride out to the shark cages & 20 minutes back. Each group gets so spend roughly 20 minutes in the shark cage, getting up close and personal with these majestic creatures. Captain Ken took some video footage from a pole camera and we were able to be in the background in the cage, the video provided by the captain was clear and a great perspective. I am so glad that we added this to our trip because this was hands down one of the coolest experiences of my life! I would definitely do this again, on our next trip to Hawaii.

No big deal, but we wish they could have at least told us since we had to show up 30 minutes early, we were standing around for almost an hour with no real communication about them being late. Because they were late to pick us up, they seemed a little rushed, telling us we needed to make sure we were quick and rushing us into the water. I get that they were behind but it wasn't our fault. The water was very, very rough. Which is not the boat's fault either, but just a warning to others. I have heard sometimes it's super calm so I am sure it's likely time of year, but when we went it was bad. Almost every single person got seasick. Also, when you go in the cage, it's almost worse for the seasickness. You are getting tossed around badly inside that thing. We actually had to hold on pretty hard. We were given some cool facts about the sharks and the waters, but it was like 5 minutes worth. We wish they would have talked with us a little bit more. Also, they were very thorough with instructions regarding safety of the cage, which is great. They gave no instructions about the mask and snorkel. I guess they just assumed everyone understood, but we had one guy get in the water and asked how to use the snorkel. I guess overall, when compared to other boat tours we had went on in Hawai'i, this one just doesn't compare. They provide no drinks or snacks (which again is okay, but for the same cost on another boat we were given them). Seeing the sharks was super cool; I just don't know if it was worth it.
