From the very beginning, the experience with Island View Shark Tour was outstanding. I found them on Google and decided to call to book. The person I spoke with, Kaiea, made the process so easy and convenient--he was incredibly helpful and friendly. From that moment, I knew I wanted to support this business. As the tour date approached, they stayed in great communication, asking me to email to confirm and making the payment process simple. I always felt reassured that my booking was set. On the day of our tour, we arrived at the boat harbor, and thanks to the detailed email with directions, their location was easy to find. The three young men running the tour were not only professional but also clearly passionate about what they do. They made sure we felt safe, informed, and comfortable the entire time. My family, our guests, and I all felt the perfect mix of excitement and security. The vibe, enthusiasm, and overall energy were just amazing--it truly couldn't have been better. This was an unforgettable experience, and I absolutely want to do it again. Island View Shark Tour is a local business worth supporting. Truly once in a lifetime experience. It was a picture perfect day to swim with the fish(es). Our guides were not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable. They are incredibly in tune with the environment and never felt in danger. At one point, we had 10 sharks and one barracuda circling us. The water was an incredible blue and watching sharks swim by was breath taking. Highly highly recommend this family owned business. You won't be disappointed.
Wow. Just.. wow. An incredible experience for my Fiance and I. Easy booking to start and the instructions on where to meet them was self explanatory. The crew - Sam, Makoa and Poa (sorry for misspelling or even getting the third name wrong ) - was awesome. Great information about the different kinds of sharks, dos and donts and they actually made conversation with us. It was a bucket list item and we're glad we got it checked with the Islandview team! Highly recommend.
i have gone shark diving with islandview 3 times this year and in my eyes there is no other choice! These guys are so welcoming and helpful whether it's your first time diving or 100th! They also offer free photos & videos which is insane taking into account that other shark diving guys charge an insane amount.
Mahalo Islandview and the crew for taking us out to see sharks! We were pretty nervous with cage-free snorkeling with one of the scariest predators out there! As it was my first time snorkeling, Sam & the crew reassured and checked on us frequently. We chose the 8am tour and the water was already choppy, oh well, definitely take some meds if you have sea sick. Right when we got to the diving spot, there was already 2 sharks swimming around the boats. I think we spotted 5 during the swim. There was one shark swimming right below us, that was scary but also an amazing experience. The best part was that they took lots of pictures for us for FREE!! Don't hesitate and book them for a memorable experience. Also best açaí bowl is on this side of the island too (check out Haleiwa Bowls)
This was such a calming and beautiful experience. Went on a bright, sunny day (not always the easiest to find in the North Shore) and the waters were so blue with four Galapagos sharks in view. This time around they were a bit hesitant, so we weren't able to get as close but it was such a relaxing and awe-inspiring sight nonetheless that dissipated most fears about these lackadaisical predators of the deep. The crew gave some of the best advice for the experience - leave all your presumptions behind and experience the world for yourself. Pono, Bono and Koa were great guides with evident experience and a respectful approach to wildlife - no chum in the water, just observing and existing. Definitely recommend - positive that sets you at ease and makes the experience feel like just another beautiful day at sea. They were also super helpful and attentive to those on board! Only note: would love to learn a little bit more about the sharks we saw and would recommend a pin for the location or a pier number to more easily locate the boat. Only note: would
I could not have asked for a better first time adventure swimming with sharks in open water then with Island View. We have done many big boat snorkel trips but this was super cool. I felt like our "family friends" were taking us out for the morning. We saw lots of Galapagos sharks, 1 very big tiger shark and ended the trip with a pod of spinner dolphins. The 3 guides were so kind, knowledgeable and chill. They took the fear out of the experience and made it a memory to last a lifetime. (Especially for my teen daughter who wanted to do this for her senior trip) With only 7 guests on the boat it was wonderfully intimate. And I love that they took the photos and then air dropped them to our phone. Thank you for making my daughter's dream come true
Coolest thing you'll do in your entire life with the most rad company! I was so nervous leading up to it, but I instantly felt calm and confident thanks to these guys. It was a very freeing experience. They take about 3 miles out in the water and attract the sharks with the boats motor. The instructors get in the water first and then safely bring you in the water when the excursion is over. They guide you throughout the experience and make you feel at ease. 10000000/10 experience thanks to this company and their employees.
If you are looking to swim with sharks, this is the company to do it with. This is a family company that knows the island and ocean very well. Crew was great and very experienced. Such a great experience and would definitely do it again! If you typically get sea sick, I would highly recommend taking something for it as the waves can we choppy out there.
Incredible experience. The guys who take you out are so easy going, but also do everything so professionally with the highest degree of care. There were some people in our group who were more fearful/apprehensive than the others, and they made a point to help them out and make sure they were comfortable but still got the most out of their experience. Worth every penny. Pro tip, cheaper with the Groupon, when you book on Groupon it sends you a code and you input that when booking the time on the Islandview site.

Absolutely 10/10 experience. This is my second time coming with the company and it was unforgettable. I have seen sand bar sharks, Galapagos sharks and even a pregnant tiger shark! I've never felt so safe in open water but the people who run the dives do an amazing job at educating & making sure everyone in their group feels safe. They go the extra miles to ensure an amazing experience and I am so beyond grateful to experience something so beautiful. If you are interested or even slightly hesitating this is your sign to DO IT!! read more

Island View Hawaii is a small well run outfit! I booked it through a 3rd party but the conversation between Island view and myself was perfect to the night before! I truly appreciated the background education on sharks and the how tos for all the participants! Safety was their top priority! They provided the mask, snorkel, fins and flotation devices if needed. They also took photos and we were hands free without having to worry!!!I would definitely go out with them again when we are back on the island! read more

I highly recommend Islandview Hawaii for shark diving! They are one of the few, if not the only locally owned shark diving companies on the North Shore. We had an incredible experience, the crew was friendly and extremely competent. They also send you your underwater photos and videos immediately after the trip is complete for free. An out of cage, swimming with shark experience can be terrifying to imagine yet this amazing local company out worries to ease quickly. This is the only locally owned business in this area for the experience of swimming with sharks, already a prime reason to support them first. The family has been sharing this experience for generations, our camera woman had been swimming with them since she was young. The level of respect each of these individuals have for the ocean and it's creatures is truly beautiful. There is a sacred connection and history they share, putting ease to concerns of anyone joining. Very knowledgeable, comfortable with their positions and organized. I would only book with them for future experiences and highly recommend them for your swimming wit shark experience. read more

We loved our entire experience with Islandview! They only allow small groups, which was awesome and they had a great crew that were super friendly and made us feel safe! My husband and I took our 16 year old and 9 year old and we all loved snorkeling with the sharks! They took awesome pictures for free and airdropped them immediately after the trip! This was a phenomenal experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It felt super safe and the guides gave a very in-depth overview and instructions that made it feel so safe and also fun. This company is legit and better than I could have even hoped for. I loved every second, from the safety briefing - they were very thorough which was great, it made feel everyone at ease. There was a bad ass chick that had ever snorkeled before and had just learned to swim, that just went for it here. The experience from beginning to end (and still), was the BEST. Everyone was super cool, experienced and ready to go see some sharks. What I loved about this company is that they are a local place that focuses on the education and experience rather than the photo ops and touristy side of what this type of thing can be. This has been something I wanted to do since I was a little girl and I will remember it for the rest of my life. I had three sharks swim up underneath me, one come right towards me, like right my face 7-10 feet away, they even swam with our boat like dolphins. It was more than I expected and everything I could have ever hoped for. Thank you so much to everyone that made that day so incredibly special to me. The customer service this company provided was phenomenal. They went above and beyond. We drove to the harbor and we're running a little late. They called us and helped us get to the correct location despite us being 10 minutes late. Our two guides made sure we felt safe and provided us with assurance that we wouldn't get eaten alive. During the activity, they took pictures and videos of us with the sharks so that we would truly enjoy our time and experience. The pictures and video were given to us for F R E E. Amazing experience would definitely do it again. read more

I love sharks. I think they are so beautiful and misunderstood. To swim with sharks has been on my bucket list since I was in high school. Despite my love of sharks I was afraid to swim with sharks but I was even more afraid of swimming in the open ocean. I was staying down in Waikiki and took the bus up to North Shore. I was travelling alone and I was worried that they would have to cancel the trip if not enough people signed up. My tour was at 10am but I was so worried I would be late I left super early and I arrived at 8am. To my surprise and delight, they ended up allowing me to go on the 8am trip because I was early! Everyone was so nice and really made us feel comfortable. I talked about my fear and they set my mind at ease. For the swim, they let us hold onto a float until we felt comfortable to swim on our own. IT WAS AMAZING! We were in the water for about 30min and I think that was a perfect amount of time. We saw a silky shark, and a handful of sandbar sharks. It was a dream come true. I would highly recommend this experience. They did such a great job communicating and making sure we were safe. Plus they took amazing pictures! After the swim, I was very nauseous and let the team know. I was embarrassed but they acting like it was completely normal. I sat at the back but I didn't end up getting sick, which was great. So I would recommend taking some Dramamine for sure! 10/10 experience. Please keep an open mind about sharks, they are amazing creatures! read more

Amazing Tour! The staff was super personable and engaging. I'm 5 months pregnant and decided to just be along for the ride and they were super accommodating! They got amazing pictures of my husband and it was all around a really good vibe. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone coming out! read more
