I question the infection control as they were touching everything. We had tablets to answer questions that were not wiped down. The facilities seem unacceptable, from an aseptic point of view. I would not only be afraid to donate at this center, but also afraid to accept plasma that had been donated there. They ask questions such as how many different sex partners have you had in the last... period of time, and so on. The only sex I've ever had is with my husband, but I'm screened because I have diabetes and high blood pressure, and I need approval from my doctor. It seems a little backwards, doesn't it?

I return to BioLife on 20th, told I'm still popping up in system at CLS, so return on 22nd today. Now, told that because I have popped up 2 times as another center, I'm band from BioLife for every!!! That's there rules, not anyone else's rules. So I have only gave plasma once in 7 days (Monday to Monday is 6 days) but, because I checked in on 20th and the 14th (gave nothing, no blood test or plasma), just checked IN, I CAN'T go to BioLife Plasma every again! That's just dumb! All because there STAFF us not trained properly. Spoke with manager stephanie , and she apologizes and says we'll train her people!

You must obtain a form from LifeSouth and have your doctor fax it to their home office. Then it'll take at least 2-3 business days to process but forget trying to call to verify if it's been processed because nobody ever answers the phone. Most likely you'll just waste time going in. Completely euthanized about giving blood for the first time . I patiently wait to ask if I needed help . Moments later a lady in a white coat comes as ask if I need help . I say I do and this is my first time . She snatched the books that say first time donors and ask if I have my id and ssc on me . I shared I have my Id but my ssn card . Is there any other form of identification that they will accept. Have my w-2 ,etc . She looked at me as if I was speaking another language. She said they only accept id and ssn. I go to the website and see that isn't the only form of id they can confirm your identity

This would have been my first time donating with this location or Octapharma in general and am…read moreprobably not coming back to this location or going to any other locations because it doesn't make sense for me to go out of my way just to potentially donate and to potentially save somebody else's life and potentially get paid less money than my plasma is worth. Every time I came to this location. The system was either down or they wasn't taking no new donors for some reason. Sometimes it'll be a line and of course I don't know how many people are actually at work at that time so sometimes I get it. Although most times when I went it would be maybe 5 people in line and maybe a few people in the back but they was still taking no donors. I would like to add I've been trying to do this for a full month now on different days at different times early and later in the day but same result. Even calling the donor advocates line didn't resolve anything and it seems like they are reading from a customer service handbook and not really able to help with anything other than basic donor stuff that you can research on the website yourself. Only thing I can say is that the workers who I have talked to in the center seemed nicw so I can't complain there.
