I had such bad luck to have him to list my million dollars mansion by the Michigan Lake, referred by my good friend. Do you know what he did during preparing the listing? He just came once, and enforced me to sign the contract right away. Otherwise, he would be extremely unhappy shown in his face. In this visit, I expected the advice from him what should be improved to sell it quick since there is some little touchup or cleaning to make it ready. However, he said something totally opposite of what my stager said. As for the small touchup and work, he suggested me to hire some handyman or professionals to do it, and then gave me a list. I called several contractors, and just hold one. That contractor came and gave me a quote three or four times of market price, that was crazy. What's more, that contractor didn't email me the quote directly, instead, emailed him. He called me that I had to use that contractor, otherwise, he couldn't list the house with the price I want. I tried to tell him that the quote is way much over priced, and I cannot afford it. He cut off my saying right away. He rated my mansion as 1 out of 10 scale, and thought my million dollar mansion like a x hole. That is ridiculous. My house is a million dollar mansion just completely renovated, not a small poor house. It is just not deep cleaned, needs some touchup or little work, not fully ready yet. It seems that he didn't appreciate the listing and my house at all. In the whole process, he just visited my house once. Surprisingly, he told my friend he visited my house three times. Actually, it is the photographer to stop by twice to take some photos. That pissed me off. What is more ridiculous, I hired the stager to stage the house, and sent him the beautiful photos after staging, and told him that the staging was done. Surprisingly, he said that I didn't stage the house at all, and told my friend that I just used my own garbage furniture to stage the house. Sarcastically, that stager is on the list he recommended. I just didn't hire another stager he commended. I don't know what is the relationship between him and another stager named Mary. If I kept saying, the lists will keep growing here. Cut everything in short, it was such an unpleasant experience to deal with him. If the listing agent thought my house like a shit hole, and didn't appreciate the house, how can he persuade buyers into a contract and sell it finally? After talking with my family and some friends, they felt so uncomfortable with his saying and doing. Therefore, I decided to cancel this listing with him. I sent him an official email to explain the reasons to terminate the 6 month contract with him. He totally ignored my email, instead, he asked when he can list my house. I replied to his weird email and told him clearly again that I would terminate the contract with him. I didn't get his response at all, no matter how many emails or text message I sent. It seems that he disappeared from the world. My friend called him so many times, left many voicemails, or sent him emails, no any response from him. I had all the emails, text message to prove my saying here. What he did makes him terrible. I cannot believe that there is realtor like this since there is law to regulate the behaviors of realtor.
