They had to come back a few times to fix things that could have been avoided if done right the first time. They cut corners in areas that would not be seen by us, the homeowners. But we had another contractor doing work for us and they pointed out the issues. Last was that they did not do a good job at all of cleaning up after the siding job was completed. I'm still finding debris and this was done in May 2026.

I had to keep calling/emailing the office to check on status of windows. When I was told the windows would be in I had to email a week past what they told me to get an update. I understand the whole Covid thing and short staffed but I used this company to support a local business and what I got was the worst experience ever. When we did lock in an install date the 518 handyman ordered the wrong size. I was then told to fix it they could do the smaller window install and charge me more for the sheetrock, etc. for the additional work needed or go with the size I ordered but it would be $200 more a window. I would never use this company ever. Their updates were horrific and I was told something different each time. Then the day of the install I'm told sorry we have the wrong size but you can pay more if you want. Worse Contractor service I have ever experienced. Out of a 5 star I had to give them a 1 because there was no option for a 0. When the lady called me back to credit me not one mention of we are sorry about this mix up. That alone tells me what I unfortunately had to find out the hard way.

Previous contractors would not touch any flaws in the cedar and applied two coats.  David fixed/replaced the cedar and applied 2-3 coats where necessary on the high wear & tear sides of the house - no overpaint where it's not needed and more paint where it is needed.  Watching the work in progress, I added deck renovation/painting & gutter installation to the job scope. No problem with David's network of specialists, and no need for me to act as general contractor. David and crew were always available for questions & comments and completed the job in timely fashion.  Many neighbors came over to inquire about David's services. I hope they leave room in David's schedule for MY future work. Very satisfied, and highly recommended!

Their suggestions worked AND when we reached out to them last month to say we were ready to start our chimney and foundation work, not only did they honor the quote, they had us booked on the calendar within a week. The masonry work they did on our house looks beautiful and they're even coming back to complete the last couple of spots after National Grid wraps our power lines. On 4/24/25 I contracted with Davco to have a cement sidewalk connecting the existing east side…read moresidewalk around the back of the home to a existing patio then from the patio up the west side of the home connecting to the existing front sidewalk. The contract stated 98LF,5"wide, and 6" deep as discussed.the price of the job was 8,400.00 which was paid in cash 50% to start, 25% after removal of forms and 25% upon completion. The job was started approximately June 10th, by mid August the cement was pitting, a crack formed where the sidewalk meets the patio, no backfill was placed and cement on the garage and house.Dave was contacted and did send a worker to clean but nothing else was addressed. Two other workers stopped by and stated the job was not done correctly there is a heaved, and the crack was a combination of no rebar and excavation was not done properly. Fast forward to April 2026,after the winter there is a second crack on the east side connecting to the existing front sidewalk. My husband contacted Dave via email stated the job is not complete no backfill still and two cracks now. Dave set a worker to backfill and stopped himself where he had a conversation with my husband about the cracks and in his mind the job was completed and offered no reason for the cracks. I have left 2 voice messages May/June No response! The ironic piece of this story the supervisor of this job stopped by August 2025 on his own to make the necessary corrections to the job. Unbeknown to us he had been fired from Davco 2025 based on two botched jobs one being a garage as told to us by an employee. All I want is what I paid for and a little customer service goes a long way. The owner could care less if a customer is pleased. He tries to bully people by his attitude and belligerent manners. Made a complaint to the BBB which he has not responded to. I would not recommend him or his company to a dead man!

A part of the soffit was missed and then when done spray hit the clean windows leaving spots. When Andrew was called he promised twice to come back and no showed twice. Interesting...because it never sagged before this paint job. I bought top of the line Benjamin Moore paints. On a 6 panel door, only five panels were painted. I did most of the spackle and patch work myself to walls before they came, but I did expect them to check each wall before painting. They did not. the owner of the company is a very personable guy, but was nowhere in sight while his workers were here. Most supervisors will stop by a job to check and see if there are any concerns...especially when no one speaks English. The workers were very sweet, but we had communication difficulties. Expect to spend a lot of money too, as they are quite expensive...especially when you have to hire fixer-uppers afterwards.
