We are very happy w/the great service that our kitties received. Keelie was very reassuring when she made her first visit to talk to us about kitty care. Each day we were given a summary of the visit and photos of our happy kitties, provided by the sitters. They even visited our outside turtle just to keep him company and they fed our outside stray at no extra cost. We booked with Keelie because we really wanted our furbaby, Goose, to be part of our wedding day. Goose is a big boy--83 lbs--and we love him so much. Well...all the reviews are glowing, and this one will be no different. Keelie and her daughter visited with my mom and her dog, and we were able to set up service and talk about Cassie's needs. My mom's a senior, so it isn't easy for her to give Cassie the attention she needs. I wanted to give a shout to Keelie's Pet Sitting. I have used her several times in the past with always a great experience. But the sitting service this time was different. I had adopted a very ferial cat who has been extremely hard to acclimate into the household and life in general. She's very shy but an amazing little girl. I let Keelie know my concerns before travelling. My sneaky little girl opened a closet door and hid out while her care giver was there. This particular closet door is right by the Front Door. I was concerned over her running out the front door when her care giver visited. Keelie immediately assured me that Gracie was well taken care of and whether or not she was in the closet or not - she was okay since she was eating, drinking and going to her potty box. She let me know sometimes shy kitties just do not want to interact and that's okay. And.. Keelie took it one step further. She went and visited with Gracie herself to ensure that my concerns were met and that my Gracie girl didn't leave her comfortable, safe environment. That gave me so much peace. I had several friends recommend her to me when I was about to go on vacation for a week and choosing her to pet sit Bella (my dog) was the best decision I made! We have an anxious dog who could be aggressive to strangers, so in the past we've always boarded him at kennels. Kennels are expensive, hard to book, and very impersonal. Recently we had to leave for a short 3-day trip and decided to engage Keelie's service, as we figured our fur baby might prefer to stay at home. Keelie first came over to meet Fifi a week before our trip. As expected, Fifi barked at her for a minute or two, then remained suspicious for the rest of the 15 mins that she was there. During that meeting, Keelie was careful not to maintain direct eye contact with him, and explained that she might just sit with him for the whole time when she visits for the first time, just to get him used to her. I think she actually did that for the first day, but on subsequent days she was able to take him out for walks. Toward the end, they were best friends, and he would lie down in a submissive posture for her. Keelie is very reliable and responsive. She sent us pictures and videos of Fifi during our vacation, setting our minds at ease and satisfied our longing for him. I'm so happy that we found Keelie. Now we no longer have to worry about leaving our fur baby in a strange environment when we go on short trips! Keelie has watched my 2 cats for me twice and I love knowing whenever I travel I have someone I can trust to ratch them for me. I first contacted her through her website in July regarding an upcoming two week trip I had. She called me within a day to schedule an appointment for us to meet and for her to meet my pets. She was extremely accommodating when I forgot about our appointment and had to reschedule at the last minute. Or first meeting went really well and I felt comfortable with her right away (my cats liked her right away too!) She asked us to fill out a form with all the important information she would need about our pets (like if they have any medical issues or who their vet is and how much to feed them) and some more fun information (like their favorite toys or playtime activities). While we were gone, she emailed us updates and pictures of them everyday. She took her time and made sure to not only clean up after them and feed them but also to get plenty of play time in too. like I said it's so nice knowing I have someone we can trust to watch my cats and it makes me happy that they can be home instead of in a pet daycare (which is actually more expensive then having Keelie come to our house!) read more
