We joke…read morethat we're one of the "OGs" because we've been with Yesi since the very beginning--back when she was caring for pups through Rover, long before Lucky Buddies grew into the incredible daycare it is today. Watching Lucky Buddies grow has been such a joy, but what amazes me most is that their heart has never changed. Even as they've expanded, every dog is still treated like family. Teddy has been loved, cared for, and celebrated every step of the way, and there isn't a single person on the Lucky Buddies team that I wouldn't trust with him. They've truly become part of our village. From daycare and baths to transportation, check-ins, and walks, they've made life so much easier over the years. But beyond the services, it's the peace of mind that means the most. I never have to wonder if Teddy is safe, loved, or happy--I know he is. As I prepare to move away, one of the hardest things to leave behind is Lucky Buddies. I honestly don't know how I'll ever find another place like them. They've set the standard for what exceptional dog care looks like, and I will forever be grateful for the love they've poured into Teddy over the past six years. As a rescue, she struggles with separation anxiety, is fearful of new people, and is still a work in progress with her training. Finding a place where she feels safe and loved has meant everything to us. From Juan and Yesica to the entire team, everyone at Lucky Buddies takes exceptional care of our dog every time she visits. Their genuine love for the dogs is evident in the way they interact with and care for them. They know each dog's personality, treat them like family, and it's clear the dogs adore them in return. We also boarded Snowy at Lucky Buddies while we traveled out of the country. It was the first time I had ever been away from her for an extended period, and I was incredibly anxious. The team was so understanding and compassionate. They took amazing care of Snowy and sent me daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. Our rabbit is very important to us so I set out to find the best possible pet sitter in the area for peace of mind, that was when I stumbled upon Furry Friends Pet sitting. We boarded our beloved senior rabbit (who is a very sassy bun) for 11 days as we had to leave for an overseas trip. Barbara is very great at communication from the first contact all throughout the duration of rabbit boarding. Questions are specific as in which veggies are most preferred, hay preference, vaccine and vet information. They also provided an enclosure with toys and hidey spots so all we had to do was drop our bun off in a carrier. She would send daily videos and photos along with detailed updates (like how she would lounge all day and snack on her hay and list the veggies she was fed). Barbara shows a lot of experience as she has a variety of veggies as well as regularly cleaning out the water bowl and tidying the enclosure. She would also spend time petting and changing up the toys and tunnels as well. Receiving texts on our bun was something I looked forward to during our trip as I would see how relaxed and comfortable she was! Context: We're introduced to Raschel by our friend who witnessed our struggles with the young energetic bernedoodle puppy. After the initial evaluation and call, we immediately built up trust and had good feelings with Raschel, and started private sessions from June 2022 to Jan 2023 with her. The outcome: Today my puppy is one the most praised dogs on the block. Everyone was impressed by how well-behaved, calm and non-reactive he is now, and one of our neighbors even followed our suit to work with Raschel after seeing our success. My Takeaway: there might be a lot of great canine trainers, but Raschel is at the top of her game. She impressed us by these rare characteristics: 1) Owns a great training system: my observation is that dog training for Raschel is beyond behaviors itself, but more of a philosophy of how humans connect and co-exist with their furry companions. Raschel pushes for the mindset changes for the owners which will inevitably translate to their dogs' continuous development on a daily basis. 2) Masters impeccable and personalized communication skills with owners. She was able to communicate in a way which is so easy to grasp for owners and at the same time to establish her credibility seamlessly. Very serious about what she does but also a super kind and lovely person to begin with. 3) Holds a upright value in career and life in general. All in all, I'd recommend Raschel in a heartbeat especially if you'd like to provide your dog a high-quality, joyful and full-filling life which every animal deserves.

I honestly thought Boxers were a stubborn, high energy breed that were hard to manage, and that was that. He was a love around the house but boy would he bark at other dogs. His negative traits didn't stop us from getting Boxer #2. Again, my best buddy at home, but super reactive with other dogs. I tried to train her and sought help from 3 different people. Nothing really worked, and she was impossible to take on walks. A couple years ago, a friend of mine began training g sessions with Little Wolf and I began seeing her and her dog on Facebook. I was in awe of the progress they were making! When I knew I was getting my third Boxer, I contacted Raschel and had a consultation before I brought my puppy home. I didn't waste a minute because I knew I needed all the help I could get. We began our first round of training sessions when Brandy was nine weeks old. My dream was to have a buddy I could take anywhere with me, and thanks to Littke Wolf Pet Care, Brandy goes camping with us, she loves Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay (and any place that allows pets on the patio!), taking walks anywhere, and spending time at my mom's house. Brandy's life has been forever changed for the better because we had the RIGHT trainer. Additionally, I never thought I could have backyard chickens, but I now have 5 chickens and Brandy has yet to bark! Unfortunately, the week I brought my dog in, the cameras were down due to Wi-Fi issues, which I understand can happen. However, my concerns started after the first day. When I picked Maui up, he urgently needed to go poo. After we got home (about a 45-minute drive), he drank almost an entire bowl of water. This made me question whether he was being given enough water or regular opportunities to relieve himself during the day. The same thing happened the second day. When I picked him up, he immediately drank water from a bowl they had outside immediately and had an extremely long pee--lasting over a minute--which again made me feel like he wasn't being let out frequently enough. On top of that, I noticed a very unpleasant smell coming from him in the car. When I checked, there were stains on his chin and belly that smelled far worse than urine. This raised concerns about cleanliness, either in the kennels or play areas (which were not included in the tour). I truly wanted this to be a good, budget-friendly option, but based on my experience, I would rather pay more elsewhere to ensure my dog is properly cared for. Saving money isn't worth compromising my pet's well-being.

Regarding my pup contracting Giardia--I already stated in my original review that I understand parasites are common and my puppy was probably more susceptible, so I wasn't placing blame on the facility. Just a warning that these things happen. However I would like to point out that my dog did not go anywhere else besides home and their facility (since theyre insinuating that it could've been contracted elsewhere). Additionally, the fact that Furrtropolis requires a negative fecal test every 6 months is a warning in itself that any dog could be carrying a parasite between that time, so this requirement isn't full proof. This is just the nature of daycares and boarding facilities, and it wasn't the sole reason I decided we wouldn't be returning. 2. Regarding kennel cough--again just spreading the warning of what my dog experienced coming back from the facility. I'm fully aware they don't have control over the health of every dog that enters. 3. Records show that we were in contact, because as I stated in my review, I would have to continously badger the staff in order to get any updates. Yes, responses were prompt but that wasn't the issue. It was getting updates to begin with, without me having to reach out on the 4th day of boarding to ask how things went. I've seen other boarding places have cameras or provide daily updates (on meals, training sessions, nap time, etc)--totally fine if this isn't one of those places and you're a dog parent that doesn't mind. It's just not for me. *I also want to clarify that I directly expressed to the staff multiple times of wanting more communication/updates and it not being met before I came to yelp* 4. This just further proves my point on the poor communication from this facility, the fact that I wasn't made aware my pup might have had a decrease in appetite or activity level is serious alarm bells. Both of those things would indicate to me that something is off since my dog normally has endless energy and a black hole for a stomach. At the very least, a simple update that my dog just finished his additional 1:1 training session/1:1 play session that I paid extra for would've been nice. My dog is the love of my life and I'm sure other pet parents feel the same. It's important for me to share my experiences to provide insight for others and so the business can improve for others.

We have been using Michelle's services for years now. She worked in my kids' school, so when I tried her as a pet sitter I already trusted her. She is always reliable and prompt. It is great that I can leave all of my pets for her, I don't have to worry about them. She is the first and only pet sitter who didn't ruin the ecosystem in my two fish tanks by overfeeding, and all my fish were happy and healthy when I came back. She also took care of my cats, she followed my instructions accurately and gave me heads-up every day as soon as she left my home. Michelle obviously loves animals and she pays attention to special requests. I greatly appreciate that she respects our customs (we never wear shoes in the house) even if we are not present. She does a clean job, I never had to deal with any mess when I came home. I highly recommend her for any pets. read more

Michelle took care of our English Springer spaniel while we were away for winter break. He is 60 lbs and 10 years old, but still has a fair amount of energy. His anxiety issues make it difficult to put him in a boarding facility and we were so happy Michelle was able to walk him and stay with him at night while we were away. Michelle met us once in advance to meet our dog, get to know him, and answer and questions or concerns. While we were gone, she responded promptly to any questions we sent and gave regular status updates. On our return, our dog was relaxed and happy and our house was in excellent order. Michelle showed a real interest in our pet and cared for him as if he was her own. Based on our experience, we highly recommend her as a pet sitter and walker. read more

Michelle did a great job walking my dog. I was working long days with a long commute and my dog needed to be walked during the day. I never had to worry during the day that my dog would't be cared for. Michelle was always on time and took my dog on long walks. An accident never happened on her watch! She was also great with my last minute schedule changes and gave me lots of advanced notice every time she was going to be out of town. An added benefit was that my dog became easier to walk the more time she spent with Michelle. I'd been trying to train her to not chase squirrels and within a couple months with Michelle, my dog had lost all interest. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle. Our very large dog, 93lbs, is nearly eight years old. She does not get around as well as she used to, and sending her to a traditional boarding facility would likely do more harm than good. For our last Thanksgiving trip we were looking for someone who could take care of her one-on-one. Michelle is reasonably priced. However, the real reason to go with Michelle is because she takes phenomenal care of your animals. She is polite, conscientious, and kind. She is a genuine animal lover. The first year with my golden retriever, Luka, was extremely hard. He was a mouthy dog who had zero boundaries at home or outside. He would get excited or frustrated and grab/bite onto my shoes or clothes daily. Walking him became an impossible task because he was extremely dog-reactive, and he dragged me a couple of times while trying to chase another dog. Walking him also became a two-person job, with someone always on the lookout for other dogs so we could turn the other way. He also began to resource guard and snapped at my dad twice.. I had already spent thousands on another trainer and didn't have much success. I began to feel like this was just what life with Luka would be like forever. It got to the point where I felt scared of him, and the life I was giving him out of that fear wasn't fair to him. So I decided to try and get help one last time. I found Lori's page and after reading the reviews I became hopeful again. I took Luka in for an evaluation, and Lori recommended their board-and-train program. I can't thank Chelsea and Lori enough for everything they've done. I've learned so much about Luka, how to manage different situations, and how to better understand his behavior. We had training lessons throughout his board-and-train stay and afterward, because we are the ones who need most of the training! Chelsea did an amazing job with Luka. At home, Luka is unrecognizable in the best way. We can actually go on adventures outside without being terrified that we won't be able to handle him. Those who knew Luka before his stay and see him now always comment on how well he is doing. I cannot recommend Lori Hamilton's Dog training enough to anyone who feels like they've tried everything and is feeling discouraged. I am so thankful because it finally feels like Luka and I can start living life and enjoying everything around us.

He was an anxious, leash pulling, cat chasing, chewing, biting and jumping-- hiding inside an adorable shell. We started in Lori's group class, then did private one on one training with her and ultimately 4 weeks of board and train at her facility. She trained us and trained him and ultimately transformed life at home. Our 3 cats are now able to be in the same room as him. Our visitors no longer have him standing up on their chest in exuberant greeting. We can relax and have dinner without Ruben trying to eat our feet or running zoomies around the room. We can walk him without having our arms ripped out of our sockets. He is calm around other dogs. He is crate trained and easily goes to sleep at night. He has his own treadmill and works out twice a day, in addition to our daily walks. We been to Pack walks with Lori and 15 other dogs, all walking obediently through the Pruneyard shopping center. The dogs get to work on socialization and good manners on these field trips. Lori came to our house and we staged a meal with a visitor. It really helped us learn how to keep him on his best behavior during meal time with a guest!!! Our first year with Ruben was really tough, he was not the mellow golden retriever we anticipated. Lori's teaching changed everything. She provided the methods and the tools to help us have the best outcome and a relaxed home life with our beautiful dog; more than we ever expected!!!

Our cat wasn't eating when we left for a trip a year ago which had us worried. After checking in with us, the owner went to the supermarket and got a few options which our cat ended up loving. We literally left town thinking our cat might starve herself to death, then came back to her loving her new diet. It was a huge relief. Also, the owner sends photo updates and gives our cat the attention she needs while we're away. We're grateful to have found While You Were Out!

Teddy has been loved, cared for, and celebrated every step of the way, and there isn't a single person on the Lucky Buddies team that I wouldn't trust with him. They've truly become part of our village. From daycare and baths to transportation, check-ins, and walks, they've made life so much easier over the years. But beyond the services, it's the peace of mind that means the most. I never have to wonder if Teddy is safe, loved, or happy--I know he is. As a rescue, she struggles with separation anxiety, is fearful of new people, and is still a work in progress with her training. Finding a place where she feels safe and loved has meant everything to us. From Juan and Yesica to the entire team, everyone at Lucky Buddies takes exceptional care of our dog every time she visits. Their genuine love for the dogs is evident in the way they interact with and care for them. They know each dog's personality, treat them like family, and it's clear the dogs adore them in return. We also boarded Snowy at Lucky Buddies while we traveled out of the country. It was the first time I had ever been away from her for an extended period, and I was incredibly anxious. The team was so understanding and compassionate. They took amazing care of Snowy and sent me daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. Emails are replied to within an hour, but it may be tricky to reach Deb on the phone since she's pretty busy. -Pet friendly environment. Large open floor plan with a nice backyard. The dogs are allowed on furniture so its nice to know they aren't getting yelled at to get off the couch every 5 minutes. -Special needs. My dog requires medicine twice daily, and has some slight arthritis. Deborah addresses this appropriately. Overall, it is a great service offering all the reliability, perks, and benefits of a multi-employee staff, but with a more personal, cost effective approach.

I felt obligated to write a review, because I think it's very important to understand what you're going to experience (especially due to all the 5 star reviews). I think most dog owners think of themselves as dog parents as I do, so I was really hesitant to kennel or send my dog off with a stranger. Deborah was quite prompt with emails, and requires you to go to her house for a 30-minute, $20 consultation. No big deal if I was satisfied with the visit...but I wasn't, and honestly, I feel like I paid her to torture me for an hour. What could I have bought with that 20$? a meal, a shirt, a car wash? I don't know, anything would have been better. I opened the door and was immediately greeted by a giant mob of about 10-12 dogs. It definitely threw me off because when Deborah had mentioned I needed to book quickly, she said could only have a "handful" of dogs at any given minute. I assumed that meant....5? (at the most). Her house is essentially a dog park. They are allowed on furniture, and have in and out privileges. Good for the dogs, because they definitely know who is boss and run wild. Her roommate was spraying dogs with water bottles because they're misbehaving. For 30+ minutes I watched another dog follow my dog around and hump him while he tried to escape. Yes, my dog is submissive, but Deborah commented several times about how he was, "standoffish," "doesn't know how to play," and asking me if I ever take him to dog parks. Are you kidding me? I take him to the dog park all the time, and he's fine. I felt like she was constantly questioning my dog parenting, because she gave me several comments such as that throughout the hour. This is also ridiculous, because he was one of the most well behaved dogs there, and definitely is trained not standoffish. The biggest problem I had was her own dog's nails were yellow, long and curled over...which honestly, it's what, 10 minutes and $8 for a nail trim? She also works during the day, so the dogs are unsupervised while she's out, and she doesn't walk them either. So... basically, you are giving her money for a storage space. I might as well leave my dog outside in my own much larger backyard with a giant trough of food/water, because it's the same exact thing. There are plenty of other people who will watch and walk your dog for the same price, have only 1-2 dogs at one time, and even send you photo updates. I know this sounds extremely negative, but it's how I felt. She's a nice lady (as is her roommate), and I know she genuinely loves her dogs, but the environment is just not what I was looking for.
