From our chats, I disclosed information totally irrelevant to my dental history including noting my religious perspective which was then listed in clinical notes. Her first at this office was her four year old well child exam and we were a little nervous knowing she'd need to receive vaccines at this visit and didn't want her first experience here to be a bad/painful one. However, we had nothing to worry about because Suzanne is literally the greatest nurse to exist. While our daughter's entire exam went well Suzanne truly won the award. I believe her ability to administer injections is unmatched. Her and the other nurse (phlebotomist, I think) working with her were so quick and did such a good job being distracting that our daughter didn't even have time to register that there was any pain at all. I never thought I'd see the day that we'd go to an appointment requiring shots and not leave the office in tears but trust me when I say it is possible! Everyone we encountered in the appointment was friendly and professional. I absolutely recommend this office. Thank you, Suzanne, for being so incredible!

We made appointments with Hastings based on recommendations we had received. To be objective, it seemed that this dental facility was state of the art, they seemed to have the latest and greatest equipment. The staff, especially the hygienists and assistants were very nice and professional. They were on top of making sure you were always comfortable. What really turned me off (more like pissed me off) was the upsell along with the sales pressure that the woman up front who handled the scheduling. They would seat you with her as you were exiting and she would hit you up with additional procedures that were very costly and certain unaffordable. I tried to explain to them that I had been out of work, and did not have dental insurance to pay for a $1400 under gum cleaning. They eventually cam back with a procedure using a different piece of equipment for around 1/4 of the price, but still insisted I would require the original $1400 procedure within a few months. Well, all the time I am thinking that my dentist in CT had never come up with all this baloney. Meanwhile, my wife get's told that all her fillings needed to be replaced. She questioned this diagnosis and guess what happened? They sent us a notice in the mail firing us as their patients because we did not subscribe to their treatments. Give me a break!!! I'll tell you what, my guess is this dentist needed to turn in his Mercedes for the new Bently that's coming out. I guess he doesn't realize that dental health care is not the same as selling used cars. I do not recommend this practice as I feel they have very low regard for their customers and their customer's financial situations, they just want to soak you or your insurance for all that they can get.

The friendly demeanor of ALL the staff is beyond anything I could have ever expected! Dr. Philip listens to your concerns, answers any questions you may have, and is genuinely friendly and caring along with everyone in his practice! They are willing to work with you with payment options, and I found them to actually cost a LOT less than most dentists in the area, including the so called " discount" practically around the corner from them. If I could give at least a 20 out of 10 for a review I completely would! Totally recommend!! You won't find a friendlier staff!

The next few years were filled with specialists visits, following ambulances to the ER, watching my husband life flighted into the trauma center, ect. There wasn't any time for dental visits. Recently, I lost my husband. He did not survive his injuries. On Feb. 21, 2024 I called Bara Dental for an appointment because, on top of everything, else I had just broken a tooth. They advised since it had been a few years since I had been seen, they would have to establish me as a new patient. No appointment until June. I shared about my husband, apparently that and my situation with a new injury didn't matter to them. They wouldn't budge. I also had to endure them justifying this abusive and negligent treatment as they made false claims that I cancelled appointments and was never happy there anyway. Then I was hung up on. One could reason that if I had not been happy with their past service I wouldn't have stayed with that practice. I would have found another dentist. I called a new dentist and explained my situation. They got me in right away.

She continued in her roughneck fashion until I stopped her again, describing the pain she'd caused and left mid cleaning, holding my mouth in pain. Previously, I'd had my teeth cleaned twice a year for three years by their other hygienists with no problem. I will not go back to this office, nor do I recommend it. Additionally, their dentists are frequently replaced which is never a good sign. The current new assistant DDS is in office only on Mondays now. Receptionists don't last long either. BTW the practice photo (web stock pic?) is out of date, those guys aren't here anymore, if they ever were.

About four years ago my daughter had a full set of caps put on most of her baby teeth at age 3.5 in what was for her, traumatic circumstance. Needless to say, we never went to that dentist again. One of these caps fell off recently causing her mild to moderate pain, but none the less an acute situation. I called Estey Dental and the receptionist told me to Dr was out and she needed to speak with him about scheduling. She called back a few minutes later saying that he "didn't do caps" and would not see her and she HAD to go back to what we in my family call "the bad dentist". I told her about my daughters bad experience there and asked if he could simply assess the tooth, and she cut me off saying "no. She must go back to the other dentist. He won't see her". Long story short, I found a dentist that would see her with a referral from Estey Dental, I called and told them and the next day they called me to schedule a time for the Dr to assess her tooth for the referral. What a waste of my time!

The oral hygienist took my x-rays and did the cleaning, as usual. But then she said, "Let me see if the doctor has time to see you today." Huh? And apparently he didn't. I was told that she thought my teeth were fine, but he'd look over the x-rays and give me a call if he needed to. Um. Okay. I'm not knocking the oral hygienist's skill or experience, but I made an appointment to see a dentist and I paid to see a dentist ... and I did not see said dentist. How can he be "too busy" to see a patient on the day the patient's scheduled? It's as if I went to the eye doctor and was told by the tech that my vision was still really good with my current glasses, so the optometrist wouldn't need to see me that day. It felt very weird.
