My mother and I have created some great relationships, especially with our trainer Shea. We got phenomenal results in a short period of time, and genuinely looked forward to talking to him while working out. He motivated us to be our best selves in and out of the gym. It is obvious the owner could care less about the facility, Shea was the glue that stuck the gym together. The AC is constantly broken and warm, the music makes my ears bleed, the Wi-Fi is always out. I'm afraid to see what the future holds for this gym.

If your kid is interested in basketball, this is the only option if you want your kid to develop in a league with zero parent involvement and exceptional coaches. Recently we tried PBGYAA recreation league and I was amazed at how unprofessional and, to be quite honest, dangerous that the basketball games were. Palm Beach Gardens is known for having a bunch of professional golfers in the area. One of them donated 30k and his son's team won the championship in a game where the bias from the referees was undeniable. My son was in a lower division and, not only was the officiating biased, but the games were brutal and violent. For example, when a player would beat the opponent off of the dribble, the defender would tackle him. The shocking part is that the referees did not blow the whistle or award free throws ever. I shot film of the games and asked Benji, the commissioner of the league, if I could send him the footage. He replied "I was watching both games at the same time and they were called right." I told him "I understand why you don't want to see the footage. It is because you know that what i am telling you has merit and you are too stubborn to acknowledge any mistakes by you or your biased referees." I am including the PBGYAA experiences here because the league does not have a yelp that I can see and I'm hopeful that others will take this post to heart when deciding which basketball league to put their kid in. Me personally; we will be avoiding PBGYAA like the plague and sticking with Perseverance only from here on out: Hope that this helps anybody whose kid is interested in basketball. Perseverance really is special and we are so thankful to Nate, the founder, Coach Austin, and everybody involved with the program.

The "non-heated" yoga class is consistently overheated because the room is still set up for the hot class before it. --just a compromised experience every single time. That's not a scheduling issue, it's a lack of operational concern. Then there's the lighting. If you're on either side of the room, you're stuck with a bright light directly in your face the entire class. It kills focus and completely disrupts the environment. This has been brought up repeatedly, yet nothing changes--which at this point reads as indifference, not oversight. The sauna is even worse. The stone floor gets so hot it can burn your feet, while people walk in wearing sneakers--something that's both unsanitary and easily preventable if anyone enforced basic rules. On top of that, phones are allowed, which completely ruins the experience. You hear notifications, music, constant tapping--there's no quiet, no reset, no sense of calm. It defeats the entire purpose of being there. The relaxation areas aren't any better. There's no real attempt to maintain a quiet, restorative atmosphere. Noise carries, people treat it like a lounge, and the "zen" environment they advertise simply doesn't exist. And then there's the recovery area--where cost-cutting is painfully obvious. There's no staff consistently present, so if you want to use something as basic as a massage chair midday, you have to leave the third floor, go down to the fitness desk, and ask someone to turn it on. That's not convenience--that's friction built into a service you're already paying a premium for. All of this--for $330 a month. At that price point, these aren't minor complaints. They're fundamental failures. And the bigger issue is that none of this is new. These concerns have been raised over and over, and nothing changes. At some point, it stops being about the problems themselves and becomes about what the company is willing to tolerate. Right now, it's clear the standard isn't where it should be. Also, I keep being told to reach out to the management team. I have reached out to Susan more times and I can count with zero response. I don't know if this general manager position is remote but in all these years, I've only seen her once. And I don't get a response. So I have reached out to the management team with all of these concerns and absolutely nothing has ever been done.

Once again when I flew in from London I gave this gym another shot. I know the owner can't help…read morewith the parking situation because other places have opened in that plaza so the parking lot is full. The thing that gets me are the Personal Trainers. They take up all the space & I know they have to make a living but it's just full of really elderly people & the trainer Jill Dearmin is NOT a RN. Check the Florida Board of Nursing for Martin County & her name & Nursing # do not come up. I know a few trainers that have to be on steroids. After being out of the States seeing the steroid people are easy to point out. Some of the people still think tans are in & I see so many people there who look much older due to excessive tanning. The front desk people are very nice but I feel like I am in a time warp with all the tan, steroid people. That look with the fake nails, tans & muscles due to steroids. They have no idea how this look has been out for 15 years. Next they will be offering Ozempic. Main side effect of that injection is Thyroid Cancer. I feel bad for the people who will pass away from putting chemicals in their bodies. I did notice many of the same trainers so maybe the owner is a good guy to work for. No photos b/c I train when I go to the gym, not take photos of myself. I never saw anything like that. Next trip to the States I will be in Lake Worth & just go to the LA Fitness.
