I've been at Lifetime long enough to know the difference between occasional issues and a pattern of really not caring not sure where the GM is? . The "non-heated" yoga class is consistently overheated because the room is still set up for the hot class before it. --just a compromised experience every single time. That's not a scheduling issue, it's a lack of operational concern. Then there's the lighting. If you're on either side of the room, you're stuck with a bright light directly in your face the entire class. It kills focus and completely disrupts the environment. This has been brought up repeatedly, yet nothing changes--which at this point reads as indifference, not oversight. The sauna is even worse. The stone floor gets so hot it can burn your feet, while people walk in wearing sneakers--something that's both unsanitary and easily preventable if anyone enforced basic rules. On top of that, phones are allowed, which completely ruins the experience. You hear notifications, music, constant tapping--there's no quiet, no reset, no sense of calm. It defeats the entire purpose of being there. The relaxation areas aren't any better. There's no real attempt to maintain a quiet, restorative atmosphere. Noise carries, people treat it like a lounge, and the "zen" environment they advertise simply doesn't exist. And then there's the recovery area--where cost-cutting is painfully obvious. There's no staff consistently present, so if you want to use something as basic as a massage chair midday, you have to leave the third floor, go down to the fitness desk, and ask someone to turn it on. That's not convenience--that's friction built into a service you're already paying a premium for. All of this--for $330 a month. At that price point, these aren't minor complaints. They're fundamental failures. And the bigger issue is that none of this is new. These concerns have been raised over and over, and nothing changes. At some point, it stops being about the problems themselves and becomes about what the company is willing to tolerate. Right now, it's clear the standard isn't where it should be. Also, I keep being told to reach out to the management team. I have reached out to Susan more times and I can count with zero response. I don't know if this general manager position is remote but in all these years, I've only seen her once. And I don't get a response. So I have reached out to the management team with all of these concerns and absolutely nothing has ever been done. read more

Have been going here for over a year at this point and can confidently say it's the nicest gym in our area The overall facilities appear to be maintained decently enough, considering the amount of people that come here. Some days are better than others, of course but for the most part, the locker rooms remain clean and are frequently replenished with towels. The gym floor itself is well equipped with plenty of high-end techno gym equipment. Lots of squat, racks, treadmills, and two separate dumbbell areas. Not the biggest, but definitely a good place to get any kind of workout completed. There are many classes available, including on the gym floor and the studio spaces. I have yet to take full advantage of this, but the few classes that I have participated in, have been well done. The quality, of course, heavily depends on the trainer, but so far I have had no complaints. They have Pickleball set up as well with I believe 3 quarts though I have never used them myself. Personally, I would love if they had even a portable basketball hoop in one corner that could be used from time to time as I'm not the biggest Pickleball player. But I understand, that is very much a personal preference. There is also a rooftop with a pool where on occasion they have events. Nice enough escape in the middle of the city, but it is on the smaller side. Many of the employees they are also wonderful. Rudo comes to mind; he is always friendly and helpful. Overall, it is pricey, but if you take full advantage, it can be a wonderful addition to your daily routine. If you can swing the payments, then I would definitely recommend it. read more

Lifetime PBG has serious management issues. Susan, the GM, is shockingly unprofessional for someone in her position. She speaks to members in a rude, condescending tone and makes you feel more like a nuisance than a paying customer. When concerns are raised, she doesn't resolve them--she turns them back on members. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, she seems to thrive on intimidation and embarrassment. Josh, who is only a concierge but acts like an assistant manager, is no better. He consistently talks down to members, plays favorites, and carries himself like he's on a power trip. I've personally witnessed him treating members unfairly and it's clear he enjoys the authority he doesn't officially hold. What's most disturbing is the culture they've created. I personally discovered that staff were monitoring my check-ins, class registrations, and even my exercise schedule. It was brought to my attention that employees were discussing my movements and habits within the club. I even had a manager, Veronica, ask me directly why I didn't take classes with a particular instructor, saying she had noticed I avoided them. That level of surveillance was extremely uncomfortable and frankly creepy. On top of that, Veronica once told me a story about how management called the police on a member they accused of stalking an instructor. The way she shared this story made me feel like she was making an indirect threat toward me--implying an accusation of inappropriate behavior where there was absolutely no evidence, and no misconduct on my part whatsoever. That kind of intimidation tactic is unacceptable. Even instructors openly complain after classes about how poorly management treats them. Instead of a supportive, professional atmosphere, this location feels toxic, ruled by drama, favoritism, and intimidation. For the prices Lifetime charges, you expect professionalism, respect, and customer care. Instead, what you get here is ego, hostility, and a culture that drives good members and staff away. Lifetime corporate needs to pay close attention--because this location is giving the brand a very bad name. read more

A shiny new lifetime enters west palm beach! I heard the one at boca was pretty run down so they shut it down and here popped up a new one. I was immediately greeted at the door by Chelsea who was nice. Juggled signing in a guest, checking in 5+ people walking in and answering the phone all at the same time. Props to her for remaining calm! The place was a stacked 4 stories. 1 * locker rooms * lifespa * life café * lounge 2 * kids academy * education center * studios 3 * workout machines * pickle ball courts 4 * rooftop pool * indoor restrooms Lifetime definitely keeps up the consistency of cleanliness! While I was working out on machines on the third level, there was always someone around cleaning, but not in an in-your-way type of way. Some personal trainers smiled as I walked by while I was looking around, but was never greeted by anyone when I walked into different rooms to look around other than the locker room. I'd also like to address the first reviewers concerns as I used to work at a lifetime fitness. There is a rule in place where you can't sign up for a class that costs $$$ for free. You would have to PAY so that you get a spot because members DO get first priority. Members coming first is the "lifetime way" as their hundreds of learning modules were engraved in our brains. They probably didn't book the class a week in advance as you should to make sure you get a spot. With that said, there really wasn't a wow factor during my visit. It wasn't even that busy which was surprising to me. I guess Im used to my lifetime back home where it was close to impossible to find a parking spot, EVERY team member greeted me, the lounge was packed, the cafe always had a line, and studios were buzzing with people taking classes and members were always running into an old friend. I am still loving this gym & the staff that work here. They are open long hours to fit many lifestyles. The gym offers plenty of clean equipment and lots of classes included at various times of the day. My favorite is barre and the heated yoga classes. Can't beat it. read more

All they do is try to pump new revenue streams instead of taking care of their existing base of members. To use the massage chairs instead of being able to just scan your cell phone like EOS, you have to walk down three flights of steps and then back up three flights of steps so most of the time they were empty. Their Pickleball system is awful as they lost all of their good players. Any beginner can play in their advanced. I go to the same Lifetime gym in Irvine, CA and Licolnshire, IL when doing work travel; much better vibe... possibly because the price is 1/3. I joined Lifetime specifically because of the childcare center. Loved the idea of having a fun, safe environment while I got to enjoy a workout class and the other amenities. The classes are GREAT, the facilities are beautiful and luxurious. However - the Kid's Academy is just not safe for young children. I picked up my 1 year old daughter from the Kids Academy after a 45-minute class, and when the staff member went to get her, she was not in the Toddler Area where she was supposed to be. They clearly had no idea she had gotten out, so I have no idea how long she was left unattended. She instead was over in the "big kids" area intended for ages 3+, ALONE, playing with LEGOS. Tiny legos. Entirely unsupervised. They offered no explanation and clearly do not seem to understand how dangerous this was, and how tragically this could have ended. It makes me sick to think that not one staff member noticed that my 1 year old daughter was off by herself; in my eyes, she could have been choking and not one person would have noticed. If your child is under 3, I implore you to please reconsider. I'm sure the Kids Academy is wonderful for older children who can communicate and are not at risk of hurting themselves the way babies and toddlers are. It actually pains me to write this, because of how much I enjoyed Lifetime once upon a time. The staff members are indeed very sweet, but unfortunately, do not seem to be qualified to care for such young children. read more

I had a 230 hair appointment at the spa- only because I wanted to try out the gym. I was 10 minutes late. I called to let them know. when I arrived, they insisted my appointment was at 2 and said she couldn't take me. Then they told me they needed to charge me for the appointment. They got a manager to argue with me. The person who scheduled the appointment was not there. So after driving all the way, taking a big chunk out of my day, I tried to use the gym. I was approached immediately told to leave because I did not have a spa service. it's difficult to want to join a gym that treats potential members like criminals. read more

This place is amazing! Super clean! For me this is major, classes are awesome! All kinds and all the time! Life time Bar is great! From salads, to sushi, shakes you name it! Stuff is super friendly! Love the indoor pool water aerobics as one can stay in the deep Water and it doesn't hurt to move but outdoors one has to stand, which is very painful so disappointed there's no deep water out outside. Wimpy showers . Spray not strong enough and difficult to get soap off your body and shampoo out of your hair. No bench to sit on to get dressed in shower so you have to go to the lockers to do that. In our city, we have a community pool and every shower has a seating space for privacy for everyone but I guess if we paid more money, maybe they would've put a seating space in each shower. Had the displeasure of visiting this club on 11/2 in the early afternoon. I was greeted by a snooty receptionist. I asked to see their pool. I was told I would need an appointment to do so. i said alright let's make one for today. I was in formed they had no openings to show me around for several days ( mind you I just wanted to see the pool). When I asked for a manger, I was told there were not any in the building, so I left. As someone who was a member of Lifetime in Scottsdale AZ and enjoyed my experience, I would say avoid this location at all costs. read more

Equipment is limited. Front desk staff is rude. I usually workout at another Lifetime in Atlanta that is a lower level Lifetime and the Atlanta Lifetime has much more equipment. I feel you have to constantly wait to get on equipment. There are a lot of treadmills which are not utilized. It seems like they allocated too much space for treadmills, etc. and not enough room or equipment. read more

Pickle ball is a joke since you cannot get any court time to play with friends. Impossible to sign up for classes because always full one week in advance. courts are right next to each other and balls flying everywhere from other courts due to lack of dividers or screens. Locker rooms smell bad and not clean. Hot tub has scum floating on top all day long. classes are always full and with many old people. staff is rude and food is bad. club has no vibe. read more

This place has been terrible. Including being harrassed by one of the instructors numerous times. The management made sure I got my refund for February and this crazy instructor is telling people we were asked to leave. Coming from Equinox gym in another state here are my pros cons to this Lifetime: Pro Big, new, not very crowded and nice pool Cons This gym has no vibe lot of sloppy folks and old people but at least they are working out :) Fitness classes no where near as good as those taught at an Equinox gym Cleanliness- women's locker room not that clean I attribute that to the slobs that go there and leave toilet paper on the floor and used razors in the steam room. The concept is great , the facility is well kept, the instructors ( for the most part) are friendly. Classes are very hard to get in as they only offer them early and midmorning , which is when most people go to work. However, I was injured and physically closed out my account at the desk on April 4 th with a girl in Palm Beach Gardens . She said I would still be charged until the end of the month, April 30. I was charged the full amount for May and the full amount for June even though I had physically canceled the membership. Upon calling to resolve the matter, they said I should have signed something in an email that was sent to me, I looked in my email. There was nothing. They would do nothing about it. Refuse to refund over $600, even though they verified that the account was canceled on April 4th, even verified the name of the girls name. Had I known I was being charged don't you think I would've used the facility? They said if I called corporate, I would get the same answer from them. read more
