I had a mostly good experience here. The prices were very reasonable, and I could tell my massage therapist put a lot of effort into the massage. She was very thorough, and I especially loved the deep pressure on my arms and legs--it felt amazing and really worked out the tension. The only downside was that the pressure on my shoulders, upper back, and neck was much too strong for me. I tried asking for lighter pressure, but unfortunately there was a language barrier, and my request wasn't understood. Because of that, those parts of the massage became uncomfortable instead of relaxing. If you enjoy very deep-tissue massages, you may really like this place. Just be aware that if you prefer lighter pressure, communication may be difficult if there's a language barrier. Overall, I think they work hard and offer great value for the price, but I wish the pressure could have been adjusted when I asked. read more

Loved this place! This is not a fancy spa massage but it is great. The front of the store is bit of a turn off but don't let that fool you! This is an Asian style message where the massage therapist gets on the table and uses bodyweight! Amy was my massage therapist and she was great. If you can get past the looks of this place I think you will really like the service. it seems they operate on walk in basis and don't speak good English when trying to book over the phone but I was able to get in each time with no wait time. I was spiraling from some self-inflicted stress and anxiety and just was desperate for relief - cue (open past 7pm) KHM. This was close to the hotel I was in and was open until late, I am guessing the owners live close? If you are a world traveler, or have gotten a massage outside of a legit spa type place, you shouldn't be too jarred by the aesthetics of the place when you walk in. It is sprinkled with cheap decorations of the culture, but nothing surprising or something I haven't seen before. The rooms are sparse as well. If you want YL essential oils and 700 thread count full sheets - go somewhere else. If you do want a no-kidding knead the crap out of your office worker shoulders and massage your shin splits - try them out. Amy looks / feels like she could massage even the most muscular man to the bone. (Meaning = don't let their size fool you) Do note: I am not a massage snob and I have no education with it, the acupuncture points I think she was trying to hit, but I was pretty happy with how I felt during and afterwards. This is a legit massage place. I had the 30 minute foot/60 minute body massage and it was great. The people that work there are mostly Chinese and there was a small language barrier but we were able to work through it. The foot massage was fantastic - not too hard but definitely felt great. Made appointment and got in a little early. Had Lisa, really feel much better afterwards. If i go alone i dont care about essential oils or the thread count. I have my eyes closed the entire time anyway. If going with Fiancé, she wants the whole package. This place worked great, right next to my hotel on my long layover, needed a deep tissue after hours sitting in the plane and a lot of time on the slopes this year. Glad i went in, foot and body massage were great. I dont know if their card machine was broke, i read a lot of reviews before going and went in their website and never saw one mention of CASH ONLY. Some of the other reviews de-value this establishment because of its appearance, however, the service and massage I received was phenomenal and appropriately priced. Ask for the hot stones if you're doing a full body- it really helped my neck and shoulders!! I booked my appt online and there wasn't much to look at as far as a website goes. I was in desperate need of a massage from a very stressful time in my life. Maps took me to the courthouse which was weird. Upon arrival I considered backing out. This is the place you drive by and think old creepy dudes go in there for a different kind of massage. The woman greeted me (no idea her name, but I believe she was there alone). I had to pay in advance which is tacky and concerning. This place has sliding doors to each room and even connecting the rooms which was odd. I was given no direction and the woman didn't even close my door for me to undress. I peeked around for cameras cuz this place will make you wonder. I was not given a cover and the table was literally a table with a small pad on it with a hole cut out for your face. The face pillows and linens are ratty and old. I was under the barrier linens so she made me stand up butt ass naked and watch as she fixed everything I messed up (good thing I'm not modest!). Makes me wonder if they ever wash anything if they use barrier sheets. I requested a man online but jokes on you if you think they looked at your booking- she seemed to think I was a walk in. Overall the massage was great and my body feels amazing upon leaving. The woman that did my massage couldn't communicate but whatever- I got hot stone therapy and a hot towel wipe down so I wasn't all oily in my clothing. Overall if you are used to chain massage places and are snooty, don't go here. If you're ok with curious linens, not looking for any bells and whistles, and like to receive a deep massage, this is the place for you. read more

Bruce is awesome.... this is the type of reflexology massage I always "want" but never seem to get at other foot massage locations. Now what I mean by that, is that I prefer more of an accupressure type of foot massage than a "rub down" per se. Bruce worked all the pressure and meridien points, AND he speaks more English than the Chinese foot massage therapists I'm used to on the West Coast. The hr massage started with an awesome scalp pressure point massage. Definitely longer than most... he could tell immediately that I had a bad headache, and he helped to relieve that right away. Prices are very inexpensive -- I think $35 for an hour. Bruce runs this location solo, so I would definitely recommend to call and make an appt. When I think massage, I think aromatherapy candles, essential oils, and ocean sounds playing softly in the background. You'd have that all wrong, because here you're going to get a can of Glade in every room covering up an odor of smoke, and some strange Asian opera type music. You're going to get your "practitioner" literally leaving the room throughout your appointment to greet other guests. You might actually figure out she's the receptionist. Don't be fooled by the list of so called specialties in the window--even if they knew how to do this stuff, you wouldn't be able to communicate that you wanted it. My service provider knew only a few English phrases, which included telling me to pay for my service in advance, and asking me a few times if the pressure was okay for me. I gave her many pieces of information, and she ignored all of it because she couldn't understand it. I routinely get massages, and when I googled massage for an anniversary treat during our stay here in Duluth, I found this business. I decided to give them a chance. That was a mistake. Basically, she ignored me telling her that due to a spinal fusion I can only lay face down for 20 minutes or so, she ignored everything I said. She had me lay face down for an hour or so and took her forearms--which were like hardwood rolling pins--and rubbed them hard directly over my shoulder blades and down to and over my SI joints, over and over and over. There was no intuitive hand kneading of muscles or carefully listening to my body or even what I was saying verbally. She was causing mostly pain and finally I insisted on turning over, only to have it all start again in the front. You're not supposed to resort to using your elbows or bones on a client until you've used your hands and your ears and some degree of body work knowledge to feel out their needs. The pain escalated over the 48-72 hours after the massage, during which I took a lot of Advil, made ice packs in our hotel, and finally got a restorative and real massage at Eagle's Nest, which I highly recommend. Horrible pain in my shoulder blades and SI joints triggered by this battering, and no communication whatsoever. When she finally got to my feet, I asked for ten extra minutes because I thought I was finally going to get something no one can screw up. I was wrong. I tipped and said thank you, because I'm a gracious person, but the pain since the "work" has evaporated my kindness. Do your body a favor and book at Eagle's Nest. read more

My girlfriend and I set up massages there earlier this year, just because it was the closest place to the hotel we were staying at. What a stroke of luck! Seriously, when we met up in the entrance when we were done, we both laughed because it was so apparent that our individual masseuses had turned us into noodles. Best massage ever. I had a woman perform a 1/2 hour foot massage. She could not communicate whatsoever, except for the price. The whole experience was a waste of time and way too much money for what I got. My grandchildren give a better massage than that. From the other review - you might want to ask for Bruce. i won't be back. read more

This place is a joke. I made a appointment a full day in advance. When I arrived and paid for a one hour massage. The boss lady asked me if I could wait 1 hour because a guy walked in behind me and they wanted to serve him first. I explained to the the boss lady I made an appointment yesterday and I was from out of town she proceeded to argue with me so I simply asked for my money back because I didn't come to argue I come for a massage. She then asked me if I would settle for a 30 minute massage. Drama Drama Drama! I go to massage parlors at least twice a month as I have back spasms. Don't waste your time or money here.
