So far I've taken the "A-Z Commercial Technique" (Judy Kain and George Ketsios), "The Castable Actor" (Tom Burke), and "Learn How To Dress To Book The Job" (Tom Burke and Judy Kain). All three of these classes have been amazing and I've had a blast taking them! The commercial techniques that Judy and George teach are so specific and helpful that anyone should be able to easily grasp them and incorporate them into their commercial auditions. Tom Burke's image consultation in the "Castable Actor" is amazing because he works with each student one on one to explain what your type, brand, age range, and marketability is in this business. In addition, Judy's and his guidance in the "Learn How To Dress To Book The Job" class is awesome! Both are honest and to the point, but without being impolite. They help pinpoint specifically what you need to wear for your headshots and auditions based on the types of characters that you will be playing and if you don't have the exact wardrobe, then they show you what exactly to wear and give you a list of stores from where to buy. This way you're not rummaging through your closet trying to figure out what your character would wear because you'll already have the outfit for each type of character you're right for. read more

This class was only my second acting class. I am a new actor mostly wanting to pursue acting in movies and want to begin in short films and student films, but I am definitely open to work in television. I want to start taking more classes in the future. While I am not against online classes and would consider more online classes in the future with Keep It Real Acting or other online classes, I want to pursue an in-person class in the future to become more immersed in the process, build footage for a reel, and meet people in-person. I really enjoyed taking this class and learning such a wealth of knowledge from my acting teacher, Stacy Edwards, while taking the class "Booking the Theatrical Audition." I learned more about being one with a character's different dimensions and emotions while putting my energy in the role. They encouraged me to continue pursuing acting and look into other potential ways of building my skills. I was given me advice such as to memorize my lines fully so I can focus more on expressing the character during the scene and using a green screen to record my self-tapes so casting directors will not see any distractions in the background. I have always known that memorization is a key aspect of acting and am working on methods to get better. I was already trying to look at how to have a green screen in the background on Zoom or to buy one online before I took this class, and I plan to buy a green screen as well as a tripod for better camera setup to prepare myself in the future.
