Little Kefi room

Checked out the newly renovated Kefi studio. It was like a beautiful little maze full of surprises. Plenty of cubby space, plenty of bathrooms and even a shower! But the magic is in the practice. You can tell the instructors truly care about sharing their passion for yoga! I highly recommend this studio.

My review is for Roxy's yogalates class! She is hands down one of the best instructors I've had, this class is so fun and the staff is always friendly! It's a mix of yoga and mat Pilates, Roxy keeps the flow going with her motivation and the great music she plays! Her class will kick your a**, but it's worth it! I can't wait to go back!

This is not only a place to practice yoga a place of fun and good vibes. I am so best to working along side so experienced teachers, who are just really awesome people. The greatest place you can call home away from home.

"Back entrance" is their main entrance, not the one nearest Crenshaw

I really enjoyed my experience with Kefi yoga trying their 3 classes for $30 deal. I just admittedly am not a big hot yoga/yoga person so this was my first experience and everyone was very lovely. My only two complaints would be that my very first class coming in I felt like they didn't give me any direction as a new person on what to grab and where to go. I just copied what everyone in the class grabbed (2 blocks, a kneeling pad etc). Second it was very hard to understand the direction from the beginning yoga instructor, she has a rather strong accent which made it hard for someone like me who doesn't do yoga very often to follow along. That aside she was a very sweet and attentive teacher and I enjoyed her personality a lot. If you love yoga I would highly recommend this place as it feels cozy and charming compared to other yoga places I have seen.

Ask the Community - Kefi Yoga

Hi, I was wondering if there are showers at the studio?

We don't have showers! We hope to afford them in the future!

Hi, I am interested in trying out a class tomorrow. I have never enjoyed heated classes but my husband is currently a member at your studio and he raves about it. I see that you offer 3 free classes. Do I need to sign up in advance?

We do not have the first 3 promo for free anymore! We currently have the first 3 for $30!

Enlightenment seemed like an esoteric, out-of-reach goal, and not one I was necessarily interested in pursuing -- not understanding, it had always struck me as an ironically self-focused pursuit. A Zen state of mind, with balance and equanimity -- that seemed interesting. But through the people at the Torrance Zen Center I found that the Zen path is not about the mind, but very much of the heart, and all the compassion the heart is capable of. The practitioners follow the Greater Path, with the intention of helping anyone and everyone through Zen to manifest a better version of themselves. And Enlightenment? It's about helping other people. Becoming in sync with the Greatest Good, however the name given by one's language culture. While the foundational practitioners natively speak Mandarin or Cantonese, they all make a dedicated and successful effort to speak English in teaching, sharing, and casual interactions, for which I am deeply and profoundly grateful. They have graciously and continuously extended a warm, including welcome. I have occasionally felt "odd man out," but: my doing. Their generosity of heart always surges back and I relax a bit more. Shortly after beginning meditation practice, I noticed, to my surprise, that many people - some I knew and some I didn't - suddenly seemed more comfortable around me, eager to talk and share whatever was on their minds. Positive feelings and experiences began to dominate my life, all while retaining and improving family relations, growing friendships, and more easily establishing new connections with people. Life is short. Five Stars!

It is with great gratitude and respect that I write this review of Lake Shrine because I found it…read moreto be the best free experience that the Los Angeles Basin has to offer and this is not an exaggeration, nor is commentary sponsored by ad funds. I am feeling pure and substantial admiration and thus I will try to convey it on to page in hopes of celebrating the gift of serenity this place offered me without asking for anything in return, from me. The serenity that this place induced within me, so quickly and firmly, was so strong that I dared to think of scenarios that would challenge it. Meaning I was so in peace in the Lake Shrine grounds, that I wondered what would disturb this seemingly unshakable peace? And my mind went to a dark place. I will eventually know the heart-woe of being an orphan and I wondered if my biggest grief would be lessened in this environment. I know that this was a quirky maybe even macabre way of describing the grandiose peace of this place but I wanted to be honest to the experience because the serenity offered by this place was extreme and unique because I had never felt something quite like it. Thus the question becomes: How did this place achieve this new sense of peace/serenity within me? First, the ground themselves were tranquility in soft, barely moving stillness. As soon as I was walking down the 100 or so steps to get to the bottom of this sunlit, open-air cathedral I felt the calming colors of nature all around me, plus the absence of city sounds. Like the freeway was near the Shrine. And I could hear it. But the traffic was not a reminder of a city near, it was more like rumors of cities that were somewhere in the horizon but not near because the stress of these distant cities and their bills and heinous crime did not belong amongst the quietly pulsating, encompassing peace. As I walked the grounds, I saw koi fish and a swan swimming amongst its central lake that was clear as I hoped my mind would be while engaging in the meditative practices that this placed offer. In fact, in one of the videos I clipped I followed a white koi with my video camera. As it swam in the water that was not hit by sunlight the fish was white. As it continued to swim to the part of the lake that had water hit by sun, the koi fish turned a little bit green, like a turqouise shade. And I thought about why the fish would turn green, just slighthly? And that is is where I understood that the clear blue water and the yellow sunlight came together to make green. In fact, the play of light across the grounds was one of the reasons why I loved! this place. I took a picture of a tree drenched with sunlight. But to my eye, the tree did not get covered with sunlight, it was more adorned in sunlight. Like the green was present and the yellow light was present, but they did not become one, it was like the skin of a female was covered in golden lace. Take these moments and add the duo of mingling butterflies I spotted, the small but mighty waterfall, and all of the majestic roses around I feel great comfort in describing this place an Eden of curated nature. I was also fortunate enough to arrive at a time where I could wait an hour and attend one of their guided meditations, inside a windmill. And this was an experience that made me feel the power of meditation in full scope. At the end, the guide, asked all of us to say om three times. The first time I joined, the second time I did too, but in the third om I remained quiet. I heard the symphony of om's around me and together they made music that verberated within my skin. I did not feel goosebumps, instead I felt my skin shimmer with waves that come an in-rest mind. The meditation focused on feeling love from the heart and have it encompass us, our neighbors, our family, and all people who claim the world their earth. The words of the guide, the peace of the spot, the sounds that could not be heard but felt, made me feel like I was pulsating with love vibes that were being transmitted from me to all in golden, circular vibes. Like I said when I first started to write this Yelp, I am not exaggerating, those images and feelings came to my mind. What I fear is that I will visit this place a second time and not feel the wonders of my first visit. I mean that is a common situation, people will never feel the same pleasure they first felt, when they heard their favorite song. I asked a working gardener if he ever lost the love for the wondrous garden surrounding him. He said never. I hope he was right. I don't plan to go hear regularly, but enough for the peace to feel needed and true. I also took a tour of the garden with another guide. She described the lotus frame next to the lake as a "wallless temple" which made a lot of sense. I was at a pier not too long ago after my visit. And I was at the pier's edge facing the water and I realized this was also a wallless temple. I hope this Yelp is a peace pulse, too!

SRF Lake Shrine is a beautiful and deeply peaceful place to visit. Admission is free, but a…read morereservation is required in advance. The shrine honors many spiritual paths, with plaques and iconography representing different faiths, creating a sense of unity and respect. The lake is filled with huge koi fish, turtles, ducks, and swans, and the surrounding grounds are full of lush trees and colorful flowers. There are many lovely benches where you can sit, meditate, and simply enjoy the serene views. Being here feels incredibly calming and cleansing for the soul. Visitors can meditate inside the houseboat, which adds a very special and intimate experience. If you are spiritually sensitive or simply looking for a quiet, reflective place, this is highly recommended. There are restrooms on site, a small gift shop with items from India, and a small museum sharing the history of the shrine and the fellowship. The area itself is not large -- you can walk around the lake in about 15 minutes -- but it's a place meant to be experienced slowly, with time to pause and truly take it all in. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I honestly wasn't quite sure what any of that meant when she first described it, but thought I would give it a go anyways. I had been searching for something to help with my overall mental and physical well being, and up until that point, nothing had quite worked for me. The first session I had with Nathalie was Reiki and Intuitive coaching. It really changed my life. Nathalie's ability to connect to the non physical world is mind blowing. The messages she conveyed from my guides was so spot on and accurate. She was able to tune into information about me that no stranger could just possibly guess, and then turn that information into actions that I could take to improve my view and path in life. I've gone back to Nathalie for more Intuitive coaching, as well as mediumship, and all subsequent sessions have been equally amazing and invaluable. She has opened my eyes and given me a sense of self that I have not had in a very long time. She is such a gift to this world. I have quite a few friends now that are seeing Nathalie, and I have not heard one person who hasn't been changed by her. As a side note, her ability to connect to those who have moved on to the afterlife is truly legit. She is able to communicate such detailed messages from our loved ones, and in many ways provide that needed closure that we often don't get. See her, you won't regret it.

Natalie was awesome as usual. I've done several reading with her and I love that she keeps it real.read more

It doesn't feel crammed or stuffy. It is comfortable. I had a membership from mid-Jan 2026 to mid-June 2026. The instructors are friendly and approachable. They greet you and try to check in with you and have small talk. My struggles came with class scheduling and cancellations. I have a full-time job plus 2 small children, so I think my individual situation was difficult to manage with their limited class schedules plus cancellations. I think if you have more flexibility in your day and/or no small children, it wouldn't feel as frustrating lol so maybe my experience is unique. First big inconvenience: Not many Hot Power Fusion classes (HPF). They offer one at 8:30 am and then one at 8:15 pm. The morning one I can't attend as I am at work. The evening one was hard to make because I had to rush home after to get the children ready for bed. But I tried to make the evening ones as much as possible. Would be nice if they offered one more HPF somewhere in the day between the other two. Second big inconvenience: When I first joined there would be many class cancellations due to maintenance. It proved to be quite inconvenient since I work mornings (and could not attend those classes) and then the evening classes would be cancelled due to maintenance. There were times where I would go many days without being able to go into class because of lack of options. Third big inconvenience: In March 2026, they temporarily closed the location down for 4 weeks so that they could make repairs/improvements. I had only been part of the studio for 2 months, so I was very disappointed that I now had no access to it. While it was closed, I was allowed to visit the nearest one in Hermosa beach, but that location is 30 minutes away (assuming no traffic). Which didn't work for me. So, for the time it was closed, I placed my membership on pause. That was frustrating. Fourth big inconvenience: Once it reopened in late April, the studio continued to have many evening cancellations. This time it was due to training (before it was due to maintenance). So again, there were less options to attend class because of these training cancellations. I was very frustrated by my experience here. I really enjoyed class once i was in class but to actually find a class that fit my schedule was difficult. Then when I did find a class, it was often cancelled. It affected the quality of my experience, so I eventually cancelled altogether and found another local studio that works better for me.
