The charcuterie board was fresh and well put together with a great assortment of cheeses, meats, crackers, spreads, and snacks. We also ordered a sandwich that was warm, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the chips and pickle. The staff was friendly and welcoming, service was quick, and everything we tried was delicious. Whether you're looking for a relaxing afternoon with friends, a date spot, or somewhere to enjoy a glass of wine with your pup, City Scape Winery is definitely worth the visit. We technically arrived 10 minutes before they opened and just soaked up the views. Finally we meandered inside. Point Lookout Vineyards is the winery, but Top of the World is the meadery. John selected 5 wines & 1 mead for a flight & i went 5 meads with one wine as my flight. We grabbed a glass of water & picked out our seat. We also spring for a 10 inch pepperoni pizza since it was lunch time. 1st- skip the pizza. IMO it didn't match the caliber of the experience in its entirety. Too much like a tostinos frozen pizza. The wine and meads were stellar. I started with Sweet Carolina Girl, a mid- sweet blended red that was bold in flavor, with that rich fruit. Very luscious. Next up, the Orange Blossom Mead, exactly as expected. Velvety mouth feel, bright flavor. The Beguile was next, a raspberry mead- at first sip, I was hesitant to like it. I went around the tasting and came back and liked it much more after the second sip. The Masala surprised me, a Chai tea mead, I'm not usually a fan of Chai tea but I was intrigued by the description. The clove and ginger with the cardamom was delightful. Mimi's Apple Pie was also very yummy, I honestly stay away from most "apple pie" flavors, because it usually never does it justice. This was an exception. Finishing this mead in bourbon barrels sealed the deal. Last & not at all the least was Sting, the classic orange blossom mead fermented with juniper berries, finished in a gin barrel. Startling on the palette. A very unique flavor profile for mead & I loved it! Overall, I absolutely loved my experience! We bought 3 bottles! Sting Mead, the Masala Chai Tea Mead & the Sweet Carolina Girl wine.

I am a sweet wine fan and they did have several to choose from - moscato, peach, blackberry, strawberry, apple, sangria, and cranberry. I loved the flight boards and how they served them. Unfortunately that is where the joy ends. Every single one of their wines tasted like watered down kool-aid or fruit juice - or as Scott said - home kit wines. I tasted no hint of wine in any of their wines. I was so nervous about getting blackberry merlot since merlot is a dry wine, but it was just a light blackberry juice. The only one we remotely enjoyed was the peach. Again, lovely winery, lovely indoor and outdoor seating, great hosts, but the wine is just not my style or preference. I do however recommend going to give it a try since you may love it or just a good winery to visit and hang out at.
