What a BEAUTIFUL Winery! Anyone thinking of where to get married... this place would be a fairytale. We had the opportunity to stay here through the night with Harvest Host. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming. We stay for some tasting and they had a very diverse selection of dry and sweet. Even had mead options so there is something for everyone. Definitely a place to come and enjoy with a group. Great options of seating in and outside. Love the fireplace inside and the fire pit outside. Food too! You could make this a whole day event.

Stopped by for a view to check on the leaves and a flight. It was a beautiful day with plenty of seating inside and out. Many great choices for wine and mead with jigger size pours. Lots of appetizers and snacks available for purchase as well.

    Menu

Mother's Day Brunch....Horrible! Their ad listed lots of food items being served. So for $29.50 per person it would not have been bad. But when u got there u could only choose 1 of the casseroles. 1 of the sides. And the fruit salad...? What a joke. It was shredded bag lettuce with 1 canned slice of tangerine and 2 slivers of strawberry! They will tell you it was catered so not "their" food but THEIR service was just as bad. I had a special needs sister who couldn't walk so I was getting her plate. Gave the witch her food ticket and she said my sister would have to come up. I said if she could walk she would...her attitude about the ordeal was in the wrong place. She should not have assumed anything. And she could have been more polite. If you don't like your job find another one!! The whole event there was tacky. From checking in and getting food tickets to standing in an absurdly long line to walk away with crap food and crappier service. Point lookout vineyards and box car catering will never get my money again!!

Came here with friends to catch some great views and sip some great wines . Place is all wide open and can see great stuff from all around the r winery. They have a menu with wines and food and reasonably priced. Great for groups and just hanging out . They have events and concerts . The staff are friendly and helpful. A must see spt when checking out NC .

The views on the drive up were beautiful, and even though this was a last-minute decision, it ended up being one of our favorite memories from the weekend. Such a quiet, tucked-away treasure with a peaceful atmosphere. We're so glad we found it.

We recently had our wedding at Point Lookout Vineyard, and overall, it truly was a beautiful day and a memorable experience. The space itself is lovely, and everything came together in the end for a celebration we will always cherish. Unfortunately, a major part of the planning process was made significantly more stressful due to ongoing communication issues with the event coordinator, Cindy, who we also paid additionally to serve as our wedding coordinator. This made the situation even more difficult. From early on, it was hard to get timely responses. There were multiple instances where I emailed and did not receive a response, waited a week or more, and then had to follow up with several texts before hearing back. This made planning feel very uncertain and, at times, overwhelming. While she continuously reassured us that issues were not common and not to worry, the overall experience throughout the process did not reflect that. The situation became even more stressful when Cindy canceled just 6 days before our wedding due to an opportunity to travel to Italy. While she did provide a recommended substitute coordinator and, after some back and forth communication, comped the cost of coordination, the last-minute change created a lot of added pressure. The new coordinator was extremely kind and professional and truly did her best to step in and help, but she was put in a very difficult position having to pick up a situation she had not been a part of planning. Because of this, she understandably did not have the same understanding or expectations of what had been discussed and planned, which meant several things Cindy had originally agreed to help with were no longer going to be done. We ultimately had to step in and figure out many details ourselves during an already busy and emotional time. Because of these communication gaps, our timeline was not finalized until just a few days before the wedding, making it very difficult to properly coordinate with vendors. In fact, several vendors reached out to us directly because they had not been contacted with necessary information. Given that agreements and payments had been in place since March 2025 for an April 2026 wedding, this level of disorganization was incredibly stressful and disappointing. There were also a few execution issues on the day of the wedding, such as the wrong wine being set out initially, which while corrected, added unnecessary stress in the moment. That said, we are incredibly grateful for Sabrina, Mike, and Leslie, along with a few other staff members, who truly stepped up in a big way. They went above and beyond, took on extra responsibilities, and worked hard to make things right. We genuinely would not have been able to have the amazing day we did without their support and effort. While we did have a wonderful wedding and appreciate the beauty of the venue itself, we invested a significant amount for the venue, alcohol, and coordinator. Because of this, we feel it is important to share that we would not recommend working with Cindy specifically, as the coordination aspect did not meet expectations and added a great deal of unnecessary stress. We say this with hesitation, as she is kind and personable, and we truly wish the experience had been different. We hope this feedback is helpful for future couples when planning their special day.

Beautiful spot. Wine flights were $15 for 5 wines and 1 mead or the opposite. Shot glass-sized tasting but still a good deal to figure out what your favorite is. Can pick and choose any wines or meads you want. A ton of white and red options. Food was also good. You can walk right up to the vineyards

Who knew Hendo had so many beautiful wineries! Point Lookout is my absolute favorite winery in western NC. Situated on the top of a gorgeous mountain with panoramic views, delicious wine, and the cool breeze of the NC mountains! Tons of wine to choose from but I recommend their dry sparkling wines as they aren't too sweet. Sometimes they have rose slushies and people love those! They do sell food but I recommend bringing your own meats and cheeses and making a picnic on top of the mountain. Trust me, you won't want to leave once you're there! A true piece of paradise.

This is our summer line up. Come see us. Tickets are $25 in advance on the website or at the door! This is a FUN event!

I may be slightly biased, but as a visitor, I liked their wines and light fare enough to ask for a summer job. Mike and Sabrina, the owners, are amazing people! They have a helpful and knowledgeable staff that can guide you from a tasting to the perfect bottle of wine. They have amazing views for over 30 miles from the top of the hill, where the winery sits, and the employees are so kind and personable. Cindy, their event manager is a gem. She works hard to make sure every event, from a special occasion like an engagement to a big "to do" like a wedding, company or organization functions comes off seamlessly. If you haven't been, you're missing

If you're visiting Western North Carolina in the summertime this is a great spot to relax and enjoy a bottle of wine! They have a great selection of their own wines and a few beers to choose from not to mention they're is usually an on site food truck. I'm not a wine critic and I have enjoyed everything I have tried there but mostly go for the amazing views!

Very Nice Vinyard. $15 tasting for 6 wines and or meads. Good selection of wines between reds and whites. Views and scenery is very beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cute old lady named Mimi walks around and talks to people and will talk pictures for you. Pizza was okay could have been cooked longer. Pretzels rolls were delicious

I returned for a refill of soda and was told nastily "$3 we don't do refills" WOW! Really??? No need to be nasty I didn't know and last time I was there the bartender happily refilled my soda-(which was mostly ice) Obviously this lady dislikes her job! No matter how fun or nice a place is or how good the food, if service is lacking or server gives a negative attitude people won't return. I would give 5 stars to Trailside Brewing if service would have been friendly and smiled.

We ended up going on a night that the pirate show was going on. We almost didn't go to the show since our drinks and dinner was already a bit pricey but last minute decided to do it and started with Pirate Bingo then the live music. I have to say I think that was our favorite part of the entire thing was being able to just hang out. Listen to some cool music and dress up and sing along to sea shanties Now I've drank mead at a couple places across NC- my particular taste is primarily sweet and not super dry. I love trying new mead so of course we got flights to try every single one they had. I'm not sure if it's because of the storm, but they only had four different flavors when we went. A seasonal chai one, a reserve one, traditional and a hibiscus one. Personally, all of them were very dry, and some of them were very bitter, but the flavors were definitely great. I just don't know if I could have a whole glass at a time of it. I did end up buying a bottle of the chai because it was very tasty and the flavor was great and not as dry as the traditional- the traditional was still really great flavor because it tasted exactly like a wildflower honey would. I'm not a personal fan of the reserve flavor, but it was extremely smooth and we liked that aspect. The hibiscus just wasn't my type of flavor but I don't usually drink hibiscus flavored things, but wanted to try it anyway. The bottles are a little bit expensive and I guess I should've asked before just saying that I wanted to get one - the chai was about $40 for one bottle which is more than what I'm used to paying for my bottles of mead but I think, considering the circumstances of the storm hitting as well as them needing to make more money I don't mind it as much. I'm trying to support them. I do kind of wish they would've had prices on their menu for bottles as well. Maybe I missed it. The food itself was pretty decent and their french fries were great. I got a pretty basic burger, but it was tasty. The one massive con is that it's just so far into the mountains that it's hard to get to depending on your location and if you go at night, you have to drive down a miserable mountain with a ton of twist and turns, and by the end of leaving, we all were nauseous (I'm used to flatter land over in east Carolina) I also just wanna say that their events they do are awesome and they definitely are worth it. They do also have fireplaces, which were really nice to be able to stay warm, especially when it was kind of chilly out. We had a great time
