I've been coming to this hidden gem since I was a child. Back then, I used to buy agate animals and rocks. Now, this is my go-to for Montana sapphires and Yogo sapphires. (And yeah, I still buy the agate animals). The selection here is fantastic and the prices are so much more reasonable than you'll pay downtown Whitefish. The staff are always helpful. They'll clean your rings and check your prongs while you browse. I just really, really trust Kehoe's over most other jewelry shops. It's a bit out-of-the way, nestled between Kalispell and Bigfork. If you should be lucky enough to be out this way, be sure to stop. You will not be disappointed. read more

I love rocks and all the wonders. So I checked out this shop. Some of the best shops I've ever been in are those where one can answer and is willing to answer, "What is this?" Sometimes I luck out and get an education also. Not at this shop at least on my visit. While I was there, another couple was present and making obviously a sizable purchase and talking about being future repeat customers. So the person whom I was making inquiries about certain specimens excused herself to be a part of this couples visit. 3 sales people and I felt like a 6th wheel. Time to leave. This is THE PLACE to buy jewelry in the Bigfork area. My wife has been coming here for some 60 years plus and I have been coming the 40 years of our marriage. We stopped in to see if we could find something for an anniversary present. In past years, rocks and crystals predominated and they still have a wonderful selection. However, over the last 20 years, they have moved into more fine jewelry. That is what we found this visit. We were able to find something very nice; given the fact we are dealing with fine jewelry, what we purchased was priced fairly. The service was excellent. There were many choices. When the pendent was picked out, there was good selection of earrings to match. No one tried to see up. We made a very nice purchase and they made it easy to buy something very nice. As we have nearly every year we visit this area, I expect many more visits to come. This is a hidden gem, pun intended. Come visit. read more

Kehoe's was literally the highlight of our vacation for my 9 year old son. Glacier park meh, sport fishing on Flathead Lake nah.... It was our trip to Kehoe's that wins for him. This is a great shop and well worth any confusion you may have on the long and windy road to get there. Beautiful stones, incredible jewelry and a totally awesome staff make Kehoe's worth the drive. The lovely lady helping us really took her time talking to and interacting with my little rock hound. She found us all sorts of interesting (and appropriately priced) options to choose from and wrapped up his purchases in a way that made him feel special and made his purchases seem important. She took the time to educate us on the different types of gems and metals for the ring she wants. A disappointing end to an otherwise perfect day with my family. Bigfork was a delight until attempting to visit Kehoe's agate shop. Our reception at 5 minutes to closing was chilly; as we were asked to stand outside while the 'high value' jewelry was put away. The shopkeepers comments left my family feeling frustrated and mildly insulted by the insinuation that we weren't to be trusted around the shop's offering. After over 20 minutes of waiting in the swarm of hungry lakeside mosquitos, we gave up. A member of the staff briskly walked to their car, following a stranger danger protocol of aggressively driving past us while talking into a phone. It's unfortunate we were treated this way, and will continue buying our agates elsewhere. Do not recommend. read more

I live in western Washington state, but have been to Kehoe's Agate Shop a number of times when I have been visiting family in the Bigfork area over the last 35 years or more. For Christmas, I decided to replace a single sapphire earring my husband lost last year, and I spent some time looking at all of the national retail jewelers near where I live. I not only couldn't find anything I liked (set in silver or white gold with a screw on back), but no place would sell a single earring. I finally thought of Kehoe's with only 8 days until Christmas. Leslie at Kehoe's worked with me by phone and text, and said they would do their best to have it to me by Christmas. It arrived on Christmas Eve, exactly as promised, a small but beautiful Yogo sapphire set in white gold that my husband loves. (We particularly like Yogo sapphires, and have them in our wedding bands.) I know I bought a higher quality piece of jewelry than the national stores were carrying, and I couldn't be happier with the service Kehoe's provided. Just wish I had started with them and saved myself all of the running around to other jewelers. read more
