Yesterday, the week leading up to a holiday weekend, an emergency struck. I woke up feeling completely fine, but a couple of hours later I started getting a strange sensation in my head, jaw, and neck. Thinking it might be dental-related, I started calling around trying to find help. Since I'm not a full-time resident in the area, I needed a practice willing to take on a new patient in an emergency situation. After several calls and multiple offices turning me away, Centre Smile Dental said, "Of course -- come in now." From the moment I walked into the Paw Paw location, I was welcomed with smiles and compassion. I filled out paperwork, had X-rays done, and before I knew it, after thorough consultation with Doctor Joseph, I had two teeth extracted due to a severe infection. People don't realize how dangerous a mouth infection can become if left untreated -- it can spread to the bloodstream or even the brain. Within 20 minutes of the extractions, I already started feeling relief. I'm incredibly appreciative that Centre Smile Dental was willing to see me on such short notice, especially right before a holiday weekend and being an out of towner. I absolutely love this dentist office. Everyone in the office is caring and amazing. I have never had a dentist that you can clearly tell isn't in it for the money. When I went in there she came up with a plan that would help me get things fixed but wouldn't dent my pocket. She gets to know you as the patient in a way that's like you're at the hair salon. The front desk lady, Olivia is absolutely amazing I've asked her to print things and questions that may be hard to answer and she gives me an answer with a smile on her face. All the front desk ladies do. The hygienists and the dental assistants are absolutely amazing as well. I got over my fear of dentists and needles in my mouth because of this place and the amazing people who are employed here. I definitely recommend coming here. She's also a partner with delta dental which it's hard to find a good dentist that takes that insurance let alone discounts you for having that insurance!!!! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!Extremely RUDE and very UNPROFESSIONAL front desk office manager and POOR QUALITY dental work! I've been a patient here for a while and had to come back MULTIPLE times to fix fillings that weren't done correctly (that should be the easiest thing for a dentist to do). Never even received my partial denture due to so many various issues. They are fast to take your money but unwilling to refund the WHOLE amount! Any little inconvenience with the dentist and she refers me out (this happened 3-4 times). She simply is not experienced enough to understand the complexity of certain dental issues (or just doesn't want to deal with them). I also had to go to my PCP for an antibiotic. I was referred to an oral surgeon for a sinus/dental issue and they could not get me for over 5 months (even with it being urgent). I was left to call everyday to see if there was a cancellation. The other option from them was to go to an oral surgeon in GR, an hour away. What kind of company has only TWO options and one of them being an hour away! I simply could not take the time off of work. I called and spoke with the office manager and instead of receiving sympathy, I received the BIGGEST ATTITUDE of all time. She reminded me that I did not want to drive an hour away and said I need to "SHOP AROUND". I have been in healthcare for ten years and I would NEVER treat a patient IN PAIN like that! I was left to find a dentist myself for a second opinion, and when I asked for my imaging to be sent to me (and the dentist who needed them) it was SUCH an ordeal for them, they just could not be bothered. The office manager also took days to send my referral (on purpose). I know this because of her OBNOXIOUS ATTITUDE on the phone prior. A few days later I got a letter in the mail discharging me as a patient. I could not believe it! I never said or did anything to justify that course of action. I hope the dentist realizes that her choice in an office manager is putting patients (and future patients) health in jeopardy. The standard of care at this company is BEYOND subpar. Please THINK TWICE before becoming a new patient at this facility. read more

I can't give enough stars to say how happy I am that I finally found the right dentist. Two years ago I reluctantly had to change dentists due to insurance. Since then, I have been tried 3 other dentist before finding Dr. Joseph. I had some dental trauma when I was a pre teen so I am a very anxious patient. Though that makes me feel high maintenance, Centre Smiles Dental treated me like my needs mattered and were no problem. Dr. Joseph is understanding, caring, and sensitive to patience. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, as relaxed as possible, and talks you through the entire process. She is informative about options and I was very comfortable with her advice. Additionally, it was the least painful Novocain shot I have ever had. My after procedure pain was as minimal as she said it would be and far less than I expected. For an anxious patient atmosphere can make a huge difference and the offices are clean, bright, updated, and pleasant. There are lovely flowers and a fountain as you walk in which I found to be relaxing and put a smile on my face before I even walked in. Nice windows, sunny rooms and views of pleasant landscape from the patient chair are a very nice bonus and quite calming. Julie at the front desk is very helpful and pleasant and the rest of the staff I met so far are equally nice. read more
