We contacted him and discussed our needs and desires for a home in Bend. David first sent us a list of possible homes within our price range and then helped us to organize our visit in Bend. He helped book accommodation at a hotel in Bend at a good rate and then met us at the hotel the day after we arrived. We were unfamiliar with Bend so David first gave us a lay of the land. He showed us around town and then gave a tour of some different neighborhoods that we might like to buy in. We clicked well with David and quickly found him to be friendly, personable, patient and helpful. We toured houses for two days and finally had a good crop of places to bid on. David was very helpful during the bidding process and worked hard to get us the best deal possible. We eventually won a bid on a house and came up to Bend a second time to meet the sellers and sign contracts. The process was made simple with David leading the way. The house was a new-built and we went overseas for the next few months while the house was under construction. The whole time we were away David stayed on top of the process. He visited the construction site several times to take photos of the house as it was being built. He dealt with the builders on our behalf when issues came up and decisions had to be made about different options on the house. Finally he went to pick up the keys for us when the home was complete. Then when we got back to Bend, David was there for the walk through and continued to help out with suggestions and recommendations as we moved in. On Thanksgiving he even turned up on our doorstep with a pumpkin pie! Most importantly, David was good with communication. Even though we were overseas he was able to respond to emails night and day. When we had issues with the builder he fought on our behalf and worked as a mediator. He was also very open, straight-forward and easy-going. Working with David was a very good experience and we were pleased to have found him. Six stars!

And so it was with the two purchases David helped me with. It seemed like the negotiations were never ending and the details endless. Even so, I never had to push him to do anything. He's a total self-starter. That was true even after closing. Technically speaking his job was done, but he continued to help me with getting contractors out there and whatnot. That was especially important since I don't live in the area. David is a consummate professional. Hire him already!

When we entered escrow on it we began getting inspections and bids and found proof that they lied about all kinds of expensive things....they actually had gotten a written bid on a total re pipe job because of burst pipes since the house wasn't winterized in time. The agent didn't disclose this little fact and wouldn't allow us to turn on the water to inspect the pipes. Hmmmm... Thankfully, in a small town the contractors know each other and talk about their work to each other so we found out about this inspection and bid through word of mouth. I actually have a copy of the written bid to this agency from the contractor dated weeks BEFORE we entered escrow. The agent, in fact, told our agent that there had been NO inspection other than the pump house during the previous escrow period that fell through. They were aware the well was going dry but told us the pump didn't work so we wouldn't check. We sent out a contractor to get a bid on the pump and he was able to do a flow test and found the well was going dry and we would need to dig a new well. There was nothing wrong with the pump. Interestingly, the bank put in new carpet...wonder what that sub floor looks like.. Foreclosures are always a bit tricky, but it sure doesn't help when the listing agent doesn't disclose (or is actually dishonest about) things he/she does know. Selling a property "As-is" doesn't negate an agency's responsibility to disclose what they are aware of and doesn't absolve them of the responsibility to be truthful. Where we come from this could cause an agent to lose his/her license. If you are looking for an agency that is honest you might want to keep looking. We would never again consider doing business when this agency was involved.

Velocity Property Management - All Smiles Until You Apply…read more At first, the leasing agents at Velocity Property Management were friendly and helpful--until we submitted our application. The moment they had what they needed from us, their attitude completely shifted. Communication became rude, dismissive, and honestly, unprofessional. It felt like we went from being potential residents to a complete inconvenience overnight. They were more than happy to show us a run-down property on the outskirts of town--something that was barely livable and definitely not worth the price. But once we asked real questions or needed follow-up, they acted like we were bothering them. The shift in attitude was so blatant, it was insulting. If you're considering renting through them, be warned: the fake kindness disappears fast, and you're left dealing with a team that clearly doesn't care about the people they're supposed to serve. If I could give zero stars I wouldn't even do that.
