I've learned a costly lesson!!! My experience has been terrible!!!! I brought my ring to be resized. I was told that the cost would be 60 dollars to resize the ring only or 95.00 for the resizing and to put my engraving again. I opted for the second option, but I soon regretted the decision; they do not have an engraver on staff and source all engraving to Jiffy Trophy. When I received my ring back, not only was the engraving crooked, but my ring was thinner. I told store staff that I was unhappy with the engraving and I wanted a refund for the engraving. I was told that I was only charged for the resizing and that a refund would not be issued. I was told that gold was going to be used for the resizing of my ring. However, that was not the case; my ring band is thin, as though they shaved and buffed the band to resize it instead of cutting it and adding gold. I must pay 405.00 to get it corrected at Matthew's Jewelers now. I am so angry, but I only have myself to blame because my mom recently got a ruby replaced in her ring, and they didn't even attempt to color-match the other stones.

I paid a little over $100 to have my fiancée's ring cleaned and to get three stones replaced, and then dropped over $500 on a gold wedding band for myself. One of the replaced stones fell out of the ring, and after bringing it back to Samuels, I was told that, to replace only one stone, I would have to pay $85, and my previous business at the establishment was simply disregarded. It's upsetting that my fiancée and I were lead to buy these rings, being promised up and down that we would receive the best customer service possible. This doesn't seem like great customer service to me.

From the moment we walked in Gladys made us feel comfortable, unrushed and welcome. She answered all of our questions clearly and didn't try to upsell us, or divide and conquer like so many sales people try to do when making this kind of sale. Her tone was friendly, professional and patient even though we were in the store looking for about two hours. We ended up purchasing a 2 carat wedding band set that my fiancée is crazy about. My fiancée left much more educated about diamonds and white gold, and I left knowing exactly how the warranty works and what policies sets Samuels jewelers apart from the other jewelry chains. I even got a 10% discount for being a military veteran. Whenever we need to purchase more jewelry, you can be sure that this will be the first store we check out. .

I usually don't have to wait any longer than 5-15 minutes. Their fees are remarkably low. They could probably charge a lot more. They do a service that is lost in our day and age.
