It includes information about who is owed money, how much they are owed, and the remaining balance on their contract.) Consider a contractor that will not turn an ear to hearing difficult concerns and will, instead, choose to address things head on in a professional manner versus have to fight to be heard.

My wife and…read moreI contracted with LaLoggia Construction for our master bedroom bath remodel and were very frustrated with the whole process of working with LaLoggia and extremely disappointed with the results. Communication from LaLoggia Construction was very poor. We were left in the dark on the status of ordered materials and when the project would begin. We were never sure if, or when, workers were going to show up. On several occasions they showed up completely unannounced. The quality of the work left much to be desired. There were issues with the installation of the shower enclosure, vanity, flooring, heat register, trim molding, and medicine cabinet. When I asked for a meeting with the project coordinator and Mike LaLoggia to review the shower issue and discuss our concerns, I was told that's not how LaLoggia Construction conducts business. The project coordinator told me to advise him of the concerns and he would relay them. Based on this statement my assumption is Mike LaLoggia is a hands-off owner who didn't want to be bothered with details and any possible confrontation with the customer. Early in the project we asked the coordinator if LaLoggia Construction was comfortable working with the Onyx shower system we had selected and were advised "they had installed hundreds of them". In talking with the carpenters, we discovered this was the first time they had installed an Onyx system. My wife and I decided to make concessions on the shower installation rather than risk having LaLoggia tear it out and install a replacement. My wife and I ultimately fixed most of the issues ourselves since we had lost all confidence in LaLoggia Construction's abilities. LaLoggia made several personnel changes near the end of the project. While this significantly improved communication and the quality of the remaining work, it was too late to salvage much goodwill. The new business manager personally finished the work himself and provided some financial compensation for the way our project was mishandled. However, it has been difficult to enjoy our new bathroom knowing of all the poor craftsmanship from LaLoggia. Mike LaLoggia never did call or come to our house during the project even though we tried to contact him on several occasions and he was also encouraged to do so by at least one of the subcontractors. Mr. LaLoggia obviously does not understand customer service and in my opinion should not be a business owner. This is the first time I've ever written and posted a review. I'm hoping my review will save any readers the stress and sleepless nights we experienced after making the mistake of choosing LaLoggia Construction and Remodeling for our project.

I recently had an issue with one of the garage doors on my three-car garage. The door was having…read moredifficulty closing properly and would occasionally reverse direction when it was about 6-8 inches from the floor, leaving it stuck in the open position. After taking a closer look, I noticed several loose track bolts and suspected something wasn't installed correctly. After reading reviews, I contacted Excellence Garage Doors and spoke with Raymond. He listened carefully to my concerns and was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. Raymond arrived on time as promised and immediately impressed me with his friendly personality and professional demeanor. He performed a thorough inspection of all three garage doors and quickly identified the problem. The lag bolts securing the tracks had been installed incorrectly and were the wrong size. Not only did he correct the issue on the affected door, but he also inspected the remaining garage doors and found several other loose fasteners that needed attention. We decided it would be best to replace all the lag bolts to prevent any future issues. What I appreciated most was that Raymond took the time to explain everything he was doing and why the repairs were necessary. There was never any pressure or upselling--just honest recommendations and quality workmanship. He carefully adjusted the tracks, tightened and replaced hardware where needed, inspected the garage door openers, and made sure every component was operating as it should. By the time he was finished, all of my garage doors were operating smoothly, quietly, and better than they had since I purchased the home. It's easy to see that Raymond takes great pride in his work. His knowledge, attention to detail, and confidence come from years of experience and factory training from leading garage door manufacturers.
