The hospital is a little run down looking and the interior isn't much better. But it had been recommended to us and we needed a vet. Dr. Murphy was very nice as were her assistants. They spent a good deal of time with Alli, gathering medical history and current condition. Alli is very anxious around new people but the whole staff was patient and kind. Our bill was very reasonable. We will return in the future.

We bring our cats for a long time to this clinic and they have been there for us. Around Christmas beautiful, good boy Thomas has come to our balcony and he decided to adopt us. He came and he never left. All he wanted was love. We took him and care for him. Riverview was there for us. We want to Thank Dr. Krabbendam, Dr. Felty, Dr. Webb, Alex all nurses and techs. who have been there for Thomas and took care of him and watch for him. We love him dearly and all we want is the best for this incredible boy. Loving people open their hearts and tomorrow, Thomas is going to his forever home. Nothing in life is without reason but people at this clinic has shown compassion, humility and yes love for these souls who give us so much for so little. My 9 year old Staffy had had a heart murmur since birth. Never had an issue with it until…read morerecently. She has been having labored shallow breaths for a couple of days. She couldnt get comfortable lying down. Classic signs of congestive heart failure. My normal vet did not have any openings for a week. I found this place during a google search. They got her in right away. They provided me a number of option and reccommendations. I decided to pay for the expensive stuff EKG, Ultrasound etc. They found exactly what I thought and immediatly gave her a lasix treatment to reduce the fluid retention. within hours she was breathing 100% better. The test showed Enlarged Heart, Glitchy Mitral valve and Congestive heart failure. The meds prescribed have worked great so far. She is on the schedule to see there cardiac specialist on 8/10. Yes it wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. This place is open 24/7. Of course the overhead is high. They have all the specialist and equipment you could ask for. I did have to wait longer than initially told. However, they are an emergency clinic! They prioritise the most sick or injured. Which I appreciate. If my waiting two hours longer than expected allows someone else's babies to survive than so be it.

From the vets (they don't finish their notes…read moreon the day of the appointment so you have to wait to get your pets records, the ER vet we saw forgot something and had to ask his assistant to go fix something for another pet while he was in the room with us and then we asked for fluids to administered to our cat along with a medicine and he said he was going to go do it and it would be 5 min and 40 min later the vet tech said he was 'really busy' and couldn't do it before our cat wasn't sedated anymore and so they just didn't do it). The vet tech told us completely inaccurate information twice including that we didn't owe an additional invoice while he handed us $150 medication that sells on Chewy for half that, and telling us the incorrect way to administer the medicine per the label on it. And then the admin staff... over several speciality visits they told me they were going to send records and they just don't. Twice now I've had to call and make a scene after two and half days go by to get my cat's medical records. They also lie about what's going on in the back. When we asked for our cat they said they were putting him in his carrier and then 10 minutes later we asked again and they said the same thing. They just say whatever to not deal with people. The wait times are also horrendous. I've never spent less than three hours here. Then the finance billing person told me she wouldn't send my records until I paid my balance which is ILLEGAL. I told her that, she said it again, I told her it was illegal again and then she finally sent them, but had to be threatened with legal action. The worst part though? We learned nothing about what is going on with our seriously ill cat after a neurology visit, and multiple ER visits. They just referred me to another specialist within their practice. This place is a SCAM and my cat was worse off than before he went in there. Go to AESC!
