Fast forward 5 days and now, she can't breath or stand up without falling from exhaustion. All symptoms consistent with kennel cough and timeline fits. Dog is old, just hangs out at home so, she hasn't been anywhere else or been around other dogs. Called vet, they deny fault and what was even more unbelievable, was that they asked us to bring her in for another "exam" (ie: charge us more money and be exposed to more communicable diseases). We sent a video and pleaded for them to give us some medications to help her. We even sent a video so they could confirm the kennel cough. They didn't even call us back!! Not sure if my 15 year old dog will survive. Kennel cough is very tough on old dogs.

Dr. Thigpen, Dr. Long, and Dr. Smith are the most compassionate and knowledgeable vet for dogs/cats around. The staff are true animal lovers and won't over handle your animal or sedate them unless it's necessary. They don't do horses but do many exotics. Veterinary services are so expensive these days and they will work with you to find the best method of treatment for your animal and checkbook. Now this is NOT your fancy white walled vet building. It's a renovated barn with plenty of farm animals around. It doesn't smell like a vet office either which puts many animals at ease. I've been using Dr. Thigpen since before her barn was renovated into a vet office- back when it was just a goat milking parlor which was over 12 years ago- I highly recommend them.

In our case, our little dog was suffering from extreme pain in her spine, and they let her suffer for days because they wanted us to buy her medication directly from them. Sale Creek charges exorbitant prescription fees, and my wife and I are just working class people. We need to save money when we can. They didn't even call us and tell us they cancelled our prescription at another veterinary pharmacy, even though they were fully aware of how much pain our baby was in. How greedy, how petty do you have to be to let a helpless little animal suffer because you want to make a few more dollars? If it had been medicine for fleas or ticks, maybe I could see it. This was a medication that reduces her pain just enough so she can stand up to eat and go to the bathroom. I just can't relate to that level cruelty. We had already paid them about $2,000 in the past month because they wanted to run all kinds of tests on both our dogs, but that wasn't enough. They don't just want some of your money. They want it all. Now here we are a month later. Our little dog is still suffering and has run out of pain medication, and we are looking for another vet. Dr. Wiley and her staff are walking away with about $2,000 and didn't help us in any way. We aren't one bit closer to finding the cause or resolving her pain. Our little girl is feeling worse than ever. If you love your pets like we do, if you do nothing else today, please make the right choice and avoid this clinic. The owner is trying to have my review removed, so I can't say what I want to say how I want to say it because the public won't get to hear the real story and decide for themselves. Chewy contacted them on a Thursday because I tried to buy the same medication from Chewy that Dr. Wiley said Mollie needed for 1/10th of the price that Sale Creek charges, not 1/2, not 1/4, 1/10th of the price! Chewy told me I could have the medication delivered to Georgia but not Tennessee. I didn't know any of that before speaking with them. Chewy sent out the request to have the script filled that same day. Five days later on Tuesday, Debbie Gordan from Sale Creek Veterinary Services contacted Chewy. She told Chewy that my wife and I don't really live in Georgia, and they should cancel our order. Ms. Gordan never bothered to tell us she cancelled our order. Ms. Gordan and Dr. Wiley knew our little miniature shnauzer was in too much pain to stand up to use the bathroom when off the medication, but they absolutely did not care. They wanted us to buy their ridiculously overpriced meds. I'll give you another example. They charged us $80 for a two week supply of an arthritis medication. I bought a three month supply of the same medication online for $30. It was from Petmeds. They tried every possible tactic to prevent me from buying that arhritis medication online. Eventually, I went over and sat in their lobby for about a half hour until they finally gave me a written prescription that I had to send through the mail to Petmeds. All they would say is, "Well, we don't work with them." As a result of having to mail in the prescription because they refused to send it electronically, my dog was going to have to go off the arthritis medication for several days. I asked if they could just sell me a few arthritis pills until her prescripton came in. They sold me four pills. Those four pills cost more than the three month supply I ordered from Petmeds. 4 arthritis pills from Sale Creek cost more than 90 arthritis pills from Petmeds. The people of Sale Creek deserve a better veterinary clinic. The doctors and staff at this practice should relocate to somewhere people are rich and don't have to worry about how much things cost.

Unfortunately, since moving here I have lost my dog (cancer) and two cats (one from cancer and one from old age (20). They are always helpful, very knowledgeable, and compassionate. I only went to Savannah, GA and drove as fast as I could to the kennel. Sign said no pickup until after 3pm. I'm there - they wouldn't let me go back to see her when they brought her out I noticed something was not right with her backside. I asked what happened to her? The girl looks at me and says I have no idea she goes but you did sign off on liability. At this time, I just wanna get Delilah home, but I wanted to come across the counter and ring her neck I looked at her and I said I signed off on liability, not negligence. You have veterinarians right next-door. Something happened to her and she should've been seen. After going to an emergency veterinarian in downtown Chattanooga $8000 later, my dog who just turned four in 2025 is handicapped. She has damage to her back vertebrae's and her anal sphincter. So in other words when she has to go poop, her little nub will go straight up in the air, I have to run to get her outside. She has no control. She also can't wag her nub anymore either I would never recommend this place and I have medical records to back up improve what I'm saying is the truth. I now have a dog that if I need to board her and I have found a boarding facility that I do love she has to wear a diaper. Biggest mistake I have ever made, and I have to live with this for the rest of my life. And unfortunately, so does Delilah.
