My brother contacted Axil and described to Jason, the owner, what was needing to be done to finish installing the AC unit. Jason agreed to do the job at $380.00 (with pulling permit). Jason came over the first time and belittled the work that was done by Thomas Plumbing for our furnace and stated they wouldn't pass as well as the placement of the AC unit. I also needed to pull a permit for the electrical before he would even consider starting the project. He continued to say that if he were to do the work fixing "all this shit" (I quote you) it will bump the original price up and up and up. I declined, told him I would pull the permit and move the AC unit to the exact spot he told me to put it. In front of the window. He told me "I will get you in whenever you are ready. Weekends, after hours, whenever! I know we are booked out 2.5 weeks and you already waited 2 weeks to get this done." (I'm thinking wow, that's customer service! -- as you'll see later...he lied.) He went on his merry way... mind you, they were 45 minutes late to this appointment and didn't call to tell me he was going to be late. I lost 4 hours of work that day. We fixed the problem within a few days and when I called to let Ray, the other owner, know that I was ready for them to come over, he said, it will be 2.5 weeks for the next appointment. Then talking to Jason, he concurred... (WOW, I'M GLAD YOU LIED EARLIER!) We made the appointment for them to come back in 2.5 weeks. I pulled the electrical permit, AC was in the exact spot in which Jason told me to put it. When D-day came, I again, took 4 hours off of work to get this done. Appointment was set up for 9a, when 10a rolled around I called Axil asking where they were. Ray said the first job was taking longer than expected. (Wow thanks for the courtesy call, I could have been working from 7:30 to until they called). Finally, 1 hour and 45 minutes late, they show up. Jason goes and looks at the unit again and lost it. He said that he is not going to put his name on this "shit show" of a job. Electrical was done wrong (mind you, I have a permit and it's getting inspected, not his problem!) AC unit was in the wrong spot. I stopped him there and told him it was EXACTLY where he told me to put it and if he wanted it somewhere else, he should have said so. He turned to me and said, "This is not a $380.00 project, if I do what I have to do, it will be over $1000.00. I don't have time for this SHIT, we are not doing this job, call someone else and we are leaving." (Here I am thinking, damn, his time is worth gold!) He continued around the side of the house in which I have my gate locked. I told him he will need to go through the front of the house because it's locked. They went through the front of the house and when leaving slammed my front screen door. (It doesn't work properly anymore) -- now take a moment to let that sink in -- I am paying this person to do a job in which he quoted me a price. He not only went back on his price, he swore multiple times at me and then slammed my door on his way out. How can anyone think about hiring a "professional", like that? I called the inspector, they came and inspected the furnace in which Thomas Plumbing had installed and guess what... it passed with flying colors. (Even though Axil said it wouldn't, I even have the pretty green tag to prove it.) The inspector was not there to inspect the electrical or the AC unit because the AC unit still needs to be finished but we did ask her questions on it. She said if we really wanted to, we could move the AC unit 6 inches closer to the gas valve but we don't have to and only thing she wanted us to do was label the breaker for the AC unit in regards to the electrical. The AC unit was installed by another company, works amazing! Took the guy 4 hours to do and I'm still waiting on the bill but I'm thinking it is no where near $1000.00! Stop and think before using this company!

I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day, but it's the first time someone has treated me like I didn't matter as a customer. They wouldn't even come do an assessment before telling me they couldn't help me. I'm really disappointed in this company. Hopefully the next company I call will treat us with a little more decency.

Dustin and Dan did a great job. The only problem was the water valve for the shower wouldn't shut…read moreoff so my bathroom flooded. Dustin and Dan right away put a space heater and fan on the carpeting and finally ripped the carpet up so the wet carpet wouldn't cause damage. The carpet was going to be replace anyway and I told them they could rip it out. The fan is still running on the carpet in the closet as that is still soaking wet. Dustin was very personable and worked well with city water employees. He asked my permission for any changes that varied from our contract. I'm pleased with my walk in shower. There is one corner of the shower that looks like the paneling isn't fit correctly (it looks warped). When I asked about it Dustin stated it was because of the wall ( which I don't understand). For $16,500.00 I was hoping for a shower that was squared properly with no warp. However, other than one warped bottom corner the shower looks great. I would recommend Dustin and Dan to anyone looking to remodel their bath to a walk in shower.

Be very careful with this company. They showed up to our home for a small leak caused by some…read morefaulty caulk on a roof penetration from another contractor. Initially they came off as very professional. They tore out our dry wall on our ceiling to address the leak, removed the bat and spray foam insulation down to the sheathing (even cut a wire for our exterior lighting that they needed to hire an electrician to fix.) They found a small amount of moisture but 0 mold. They removed the joist blocking that separates the outside from the inside of the house above the wall and loosely filled it in with a piece of bat insulation. Then they got busy and left it like that for a few weeks. Mind you, this was in the middle of winter. When they returned, they realized they created mold in that spot in our brand new home but did not seem at all perturbed about it. They did remove the mold, and then they made a crude attempt of using canned great stuff spray foam insulation as a replacement for the correct foam insulation that is supposed to be, and was originally, there to eliminate our dew point. We noticed the poorly done job of insulation and they were instructed to chip it all out by their manager. After that, they found out the mold spread further up the bay. This resulted in them needing to tear out more dry wall etc (but did eliminate the mold they caused and dried out the area) and eventually they admitted they were losing money on our job and canceled our contract and left it as is. This was all drawn out for months, during which time they would try pointing the finger elsewhere. Something that should have been a quick fix turned into a total nightmare for us to get figured out. Now we are left with finding new contractors to finish this job.

Five Valleys has been the worst experience I have had with a restoration comapny by a mile. At first they were very responsive and helped with the mitigation immediately. The actual people that showed up were great and very helpful and kind. After that it was like pulling teeth to deal with the project manager and office staff. They offered us a discount if we paid in cash vs submitting to insurance, and then would not honor that discount when we went to pay. It took over three weeks for them to respond about the timeline and cost of the restoration, and that's only after I was told "stop calling we will let you know when we have time for you". They are disorganized and unprofessional. I would not recommend using them.
