I received no help or advice along the way, I sold my house for less than what I should have just to get it over with. This huge life event to go through was such a anxiety ridden disappointment. They make the same whether the client makes a move or not. They're paid on a per - showing basis. Flat fees. One woman told me all about it. Made it sound like it was one step above driving Uber. I think she said she made $60 - $80 a day when she goes on showings. She was wearing sweat pants and looked like she was on her way to bed. Cut rate commissions equal cut rate sales. I wonder how many offers I may have lost because Redfin agents don't sell. I would imagine the same is the case for seller's agents. Why on earth would any agent worth their salt work for a discount broker? They wouldn't. I may not take showings from Redfin agent's next go round.
