Kelly did repairs on my roof right before i closed on the purchase of my new home. Since June 5, 2017, I have been trying to get them to fix the damaged gutters from their ladders for 4 months now. It took them a week to respond to my message. They don't answer their phones and it takes a few days to return phone calls. What is crazy is my realtor said they have a great reputation but i haven't seen it. They have had a crew out here 5 times over 4 months and still have yet to correctly seal between my gutter and the splash guard. They have fixed 2 of the three damaged areas. They must be slammed with new business for them to run it like this and still be in business. The owner or at least the person who manages the yelp page usually takes time to publicaly respond to my yelp complaint and claim the rain is the issue with the schedule. They should call me and get someone that can fix the issues. Now they have had 5 attempts without rain and still not fixed? Look in the "pictures" section and you will see my home with the ladder leaning against the gutter and another with a closeup of the gutter leaking. We hired the Kelly roofing company in good faith to replace our tile roof after Irma destroyed the roof. We were underwhelmed with the project as it was in progress. We had issues of honesty with their project manager and it was very difficult to work with him. We were glad when it was complete and we paid the final bill. Within the year we had a huge leak in our office area. Completely ruining the carpet..... walls.... interior space. After quite a verbal battle with Joe Kelly , the owner of the company, he agreed to pay for half of the damage to our interior and fix the roof. The company blamed our roof and the fact that we didn't clear the debris from the roof. I am not sure anyone goes up onto their roof and clear debris. Then again, within a year, it leaked again. Huge flood into our office, ruining again, our new carpet, walls, fan and light fixture, furniture in the room as well as two computers. Again, Kelly roofing came out and blamed us for the design of the roof and the home. They fixed it grudgingly and we didn't have a large amount of confidence. Within two weeks we had our third flood in the room. By this time we didn't even know how we would ever be able to sell this house. Joe Kelly refused to answer my calls, not once speaking to me. He answered one of my many emails and again, blamed us, the debris, the scupper, the design. He took no responsibility for the third flood into our home and refused to accept any financial responsibility to us. At this point, we were so tired of the Kelly roofing company and all of their excuses we called the competitor to come and look at the situation on our roof. Within a day, the Moore roofing company was out and in our roof. Within minutes the representative understood the problem and how it could be fixed. Within the week the Moore company was on the roof and fixing the problem. It was NOT the scupper, NOT the debris, NOT the home design, it was 100% the materials and workmanship of the Kelly roofing company. It was fixed and we have made it through months of the raining season without a drop. I would like Kelly roofing to reimburse us for all the costs we incurred because of their incompetence. Fan/light fixture, walls and Venetian plaster repair, carpet, drying machines, repaint and replace molding, and a laptop that has damaged with the water. Also, the 3k we had to pay to the Moore roofing company to fix the job that the Kelly did in the first place. The total amount is close to 8k. read more

The Kelly Roofing rep was very nice. The staff was also great and really over communicated at first. The second something went wrong the communication was extremely poor. I contacted Gabby and the rep many times with my concerns. They would say they sent someone out to take a look several times, but I would never hear what the solution was. They would send someone out, the person would not fix anything, and not communicate my options. After not hearing back from them for several weeks (I called them expressing my concerns and wanting answers) Gabby called me to tell me they had put a lien on our house because we had not paid the balance owed, and now owed that plus $300 fee for lien removal. They never contacted us in any way to offer a resolution to our concerns, or contacted us to let us know there's was nothing more they were willing to do and we needed to pay or they would put a lien on the house. We had been waiting the whole time to get a solution to the issue from them. They said nothing and did nothing to fix the issue, they just put a lien on the house without any warning and now want an extra fee to renew it. All this for a petty $400 owed. read more

I have paid all but the last payment and today I received a notice of lien, a lien fee bill and a bill for an emergency repair. There is a reason I have withheld the last payment. I want the problem fixed! I have spoken to so many people in your billing department and your service crews about the lingering leak problem. This was CAUSED when you tore the old roof off and "dried it in". It was obviously not "dry" enough. You did send someone for an "emergency repair" at that time, and it helped some, but it still leaks after a hard rain, because of standing water on an area that had been been slightly sloped before the old roof was removed, but now it is flat. Everyone has agreed they understand the problem and will open a new case and send someone, but no one has come to fix it. It took nearly a year for you to finish my roof and I have your last payment waiting to give you. I want to close out this chapter of my life as much as Kelly Roofing does. But why would I send my last payment if I can't get anywhere with this problem? Would YOU, not Cherry or Stefania or Natalie...YOU...please call me so I can explain this to you. One star for finishing the job and for the job itself because I really like Frank. They do their job, but it took a year and a half to start the job since we signed the contract. They said that they will start in December 2018 (we have to wait 9 month just to start the job) and they started in March 2019 (4 months later). After they finish they sent me the last invoice due the same day without received the check from the insurance company yet. At the beginning they said they will take car of the insurance but this is FALSE. They don't deal with them! After two weeks accounting start making phone calls while I was trying to get the check from the insurance company. After 30 days they call me because they will put a lien on the house. The accounting people are very aggressive and they scream on you if they can. Really rude! Finally I have to pay with my money the last 2 invoices for 18K and I'm still dealing with the insurance and my mortgage company. Thank you Kelly Roofing, I wait 18 months for you and you cannot wait 60 days for your last payment (before they start the job you have to pay 75% of the job). They DON'T CARE about if you have the Insurance check or not and they don't care if you have to wait a year in a half to fix your roof. Accounting people are really rude. So unhappy with entire experience. took 6 months from contract to final inspection. Covered my outdoor plants with plastic in the August hot heat and burned them up. 4 months of no return calls! Inspection failed, I called because hurricane weather was coming, to ask if roof was going to be okay through storm....no return call. They put shingles on without proper inspection, had to wait for them to hire an engineer to inspect and send proper report to city (which took 2 1/2 months). Receive final inspection on Thursday and the next day I receive notice of Intent to Lien....they said substantial work was completed and they wanted balance of $4,106....WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE USING THIS COMPANY. read more

I hired Kelly Roofing to replace my roof. Since this was an insurance claim, I had to get a lot of paperwork completed before the insurance company would approve the payment needed to start the work. They have an office person, Paola Reyes, that apparently does not like to return emails or phone calls. Long story short, the work is done but they owe me a refund for overpayment. It has now been over 2 weeks and I have called, emailed and written letters and no reply. The best part is since the increase in work due to hurricane Irma, they are not answering phones! Kelly roofing might have a great reputation. HOWEVER the experience I had, sucked. They gave an estimate, listed what all was needed to repair the roof on my lanai, had no problem with that and said yes. Instead of them doing the job, they sent a subcontractor. Considering they were the ones that hired the subcontractor, I was fine with that, figuring the contractor would be to the same level of quality as them. NOPE! According to the estimate and what the work order was for, the job required replacing an ENTIRE beam, and that's what I PAID FOR. What I got, was a horrible mess, the lanai roof raised (when it was fine to begin with). As for the beam that was suppose to be ENTIRELY REPLACED, they just cut out one section of it and replaced that one section. If the estimate is done and as things are going, there's valid issues that need fixed, fine. If a job is over estimated and not nearly as much needs done, again fine. WHEN ADDITIONAL THINGS GET DONE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL AND NECESSARY THINGS ARE DONE INCORRECTLY, now there's a problem. By the time the job was finished, it cost TRIPLE the original estimate and was not quality work for the cost. I was charged for the entire beam to be replaced when that wasn't what actually got done. AND they left behind one of those fancy ladders that does all sorts of positions, FOR MONTHS. I called to inform them that they left it behind and I figured they would come back and get it so I never moved it from against the house WHERE THEY LEFT IT. When they finally come back to get it, it wasn't there, so they got mad at me. How is it my fault someone decided to give it a new home because THEY FORGOT THEIR LADDER. Hired them to put suntubes in my home in August 2020. The first 3 went in correctly the 4th one they cut the hole too big. Had to wait for someone else to come and correct the error. This was after many phone calls to the office. After that they expected US to paint the ceiling where they had to add sheetrock. They agreed to repaint the ceiling, told them exactly what color and bought whatever cheap paint. Needless to say it didn't match. Had them come back because they didn't do something right on the roof, and to repaint. Again the wrong color. We set appointments 4 different times, finally in November 2020 someone finally came to paint the ceiling. Meanwhile they put a lein on our home because we wouldnt pay until the job was done. Two young men inspected our roof after Hurricane Irma on October 25 and were very professional. They told us we would receive a video showing what they found along with an estimate. To date we have received no further communication other than an email asking if we are accepting the estimate - ?. Our neighbors recently had their roofs inspected by Kelly and were handed estimates after inspection. We contacted Kelly and no one has had the courtesy to reply to us. We are very understanding that it will take time to perform repairs, but they clearly are taking on too much with too little and will result in a poor reputation from customers who live in their service area. Kelly is full of promises with VERY substandard work. They were called to fix my roof in three separate areas. While two of the fixes were done properly, one was not. When they were called about the recurrent leak, they gave me the runaround and delayed coming to fix it for over a week. They finally came and the leak has AGAIN reoccurred. Had Kelly re roof and gutter our home in Naples June 2019. We are very pleased with the roofing work. Unfortunately, the gutter replacement was dissapointing. They installed three downspouts in the entire system where there was six and two of the runs sloped AWAY from downspouts leaving perpetually full gutters opposite the downspouts. Kelly roofing charged $1260 to repair my roof. The State Farm Insurance inspector estimated $655.63 to make the repairs. The Florida-licensed roof inspector for Citizen's Property Insurance stated "Several shingles were broken/missing and nail heads were exposed." Also a truss had wood rot due to a leak a longtime ago, before the current sheathing/roof was installed. Replacing several shingles and nailing two boards across a truss for $1260??? I asked for an itemized invoice on from the Project Manager and/or the Owner on June 25, 28, July 5, July 10, July 17, and July 18. All I got was the run-around. On July 19 they sent me a "Service Authorization" form. It shows a 2x6x12 board was used, but no shingles. It doesn't show the cost of any materials or labor. Delays (more than 18 months) , the project manager quit? or left? but i was not informed for months, then 6 months more with new project manager, the delays caused costly issues with financing and my insurance cancelled waiting for completion, multiple failed communication, massive up charges - any estimate which is more than 20% off is bad estimate, inability to follow directions, damaged driveway. PLEASE READ BEFORE CHOOSING THEM!!! I just purchased a home in May of 2014, knowing that the roof was replaced in 2007 by Kelly Roofing. Just a few weeks ago I noticed a roof leak in my master bedroom. I immediately called Kelly Roofing and explained to them the situation since the roof was under warranty but by the previous owner. They informed me that it was not covered since I was not the previous owner of the house. I still don't understand that concept since it's the roof that is under warranty and not the owner. Well after all that I still needed to get my roof fixed. They offered me a discount and came out to inspect the problem. When a rep came out and inspected the roof I was informed that it was not done properly in 2007, reason I was having a roof leak. The roof was sagging and did not have proper clips (H-clip) that held the plywood together which caused the leak. After all that news I was a little irritated. I scheduled the repairs for a Friday since I had it off from work. The Monday before, I get an invoice notifying me that the work has been completed. I looked at the roof and original problem, nothing was complete and the roof still was sagging. I called immediately to find out what happened. Of course it was after 5pm when I got off work. I got their answering service and left a message. I did not get a return call back and had to call back myself. I was told that the work was complete and needed to pay for the work. I informed them that I did not believe the work was completed and asked why it was done on Monday when no one was home when I asked for them to come Friday when I was off work. I did not get an answer and got the run-around. They said they would send someone out on Friday when I initially asked them to come out. He explained to me that the work was completed and they reused the shingles. He also said they took photos of the work they did; I still have not seen these photos. I then took him to the area that was supposed to be fixed and showed him that plywood was not replaced. He said he did not know. He said the reason it was sagging was because of the missing H-clips that the previous representative told me. Reminder that Kelly Roofing replaced the roof in 2007. So after all that I get a call from Kelly senior, as he said on the phone. He asked me my story so I told him. He then said he would get to the bottom of it and call me back...... I am still waiting on that call after 4 days. I would never recommend them to anyone. I can't give negative stars, so please consider this one star as negative 5 stars. At first, we were pleased with the work Kelly Roofing did on our home. We had a new roof installed in December 2012 and we were happy with the results. However, we have just now discovered that Kelly Roofing, in their effort to install a new roof, exposed us to potential house fires. I shall explain how this happened. There is a hole in the roof through which the dryer must vent. We know that it did vent prior to our new roof because we had occasion to use a wet/dry vac to ream out the system. We had multitudinous problems, though, after the roof replacement. Our dryer routinely failed and it was only until recently that the issue was addressed and remedied. Our repairman discovered that when the roof was replaced, tarpaper and tile were affixed over the dryer vent. Even so, the gooseneck vent was attached to the roof in the approximate location of the vent. The stoppage of the vent resulted in an accumulation of lint, some of which was singed black. Fortunately, our dryer deactivated the heating element when this overload occurred. I am extremely upset with Kelly Roofing for putting us in this dangerous position. Someone consciously affixed the dryer gooseneck to an area covered in roofing material. How many other customers have had these shoddy repairs, being at risk for fire in their homes? Please avoid this company. read more

Got a new metal roof because of great price and who I thought was a knowledgeable sales rep... delays getting install but finally done and all relaxed until hurricane hit and tremendous amount of water came in house through off ridge vents they put in... called many times and never answered, tried web site but required me to pay for them seeing problem and saying not their problem... sent in form and never heard until I got BBB to force them to respond... I learned that for a FL low angle roof I should have a baffle in front of vents... after many many attempts finally they came but installed baffles from the top down.... no chance they'd block horizontally wind blown rain from another hurricane... Gave up and will find someone who understands FL older home roofs. read more

We hired Kelly Roofing in October and the process for a full re roof began in November after their inspection. It is nearly April and we are still no where near starting the project. We were given an estimate of 65K for a roof, submitted it to insurance, and even received our first payment from the insurance company. As we were ready to sign Kelly's invoice we noticed the price had increased to 72K. No courtesy call to tell us why, just a different cost for the job than originally quoted. When we questioned them, we were told that they did not realize we had a clay tile roof - this after walking the roof, taking pictures, and even meeting with the VP of a tile manufacturer to discuss possible tile replacements.Most reputable companies would have said, we made a mistake but will honor our original proposal, but they did not do the honorable thing - they caused the process with the insurance company to start all over again, and it appears doubtful that we will get the original amount promised for our roof. We are ready to hire another firm to complete the work. We get no updates on the progress with the insurance company. We are told continually that "this is how insurance companies work - they drag their feet," instead of owning up to their mistake and making good on it and keeping in mind, our original claim submission was accepted for the full amount. Our experience to date is leading us to believe that we should cut our losses now and hire someone else. If it is this bad at the outset, we can only imagine what the future will bring.
