I can't give negative stars, so please consider this one star as negative 5 stars. At first, we were pleased with the work Kelly Roofing did on our home. We had a new roof installed in December 2012 and we were happy with the results. However, we have just now discovered that Kelly Roofing, in their effort to install a new roof, exposed us to potential house fires. I shall explain how this happened. There is a hole in the roof through which the dryer must vent. We know that it did vent prior to our new roof because we had occasion to use a wet/dry vac to ream out the system. We had multitudinous problems, though, after the roof replacement. Our dryer routinely failed and it was only until recently that the issue was addressed and remedied. Our repairman discovered that when the roof was replaced, tarpaper and tile were affixed over the dryer vent. Even so, the gooseneck vent was attached to the roof in the approximate location of the vent. The stoppage of the vent resulted in an accumulation of lint, some of which was singed black. Fortunately, our dryer deactivated the heating element when this overload occurred. I am extremely upset with Kelly Roofing for putting us in this dangerous position. Someone consciously affixed the dryer gooseneck to an area covered in roofing material. How many other customers have had these shoddy repairs, being at risk for fire in their homes? Please avoid this company. read more

Got a new metal roof because of great price and who I thought was a knowledgeable sales rep... delays getting install but finally done and all relaxed until hurricane hit and tremendous amount of water came in house through off ridge vents they put in... called many times and never answered, tried web site but required me to pay for them seeing problem and saying not their problem... sent in form and never heard until I got BBB to force them to respond... I learned that for a FL low angle roof I should have a baffle in front of vents... after many many attempts finally they came but installed baffles from the top down.... no chance they'd block horizontally wind blown rain from another hurricane... Gave up and will find someone who understands FL older home roofs. read more

We hired Kelly Roofing in October and the process for a full re roof began in November after their inspection. It is nearly April and we are still no where near starting the project. We were given an estimate of 65K for a roof, submitted it to insurance, and even received our first payment from the insurance company. As we were ready to sign Kelly's invoice we noticed the price had increased to 72K. No courtesy call to tell us why, just a different cost for the job than originally quoted. When we questioned them, we were told that they did not realize we had a clay tile roof - this after walking the roof, taking pictures, and even meeting with the VP of a tile manufacturer to discuss possible tile replacements.Most reputable companies would have said, we made a mistake but will honor our original proposal, but they did not do the honorable thing - they caused the process with the insurance company to start all over again, and it appears doubtful that we will get the original amount promised for our roof. We are ready to hire another firm to complete the work. We get no updates on the progress with the insurance company. We are told continually that "this is how insurance companies work - they drag their feet," instead of owning up to their mistake and making good on it and keeping in mind, our original claim submission was accepted for the full amount. Our experience to date is leading us to believe that we should cut our losses now and hire someone else. If it is this bad at the outset, we can only imagine what the future will bring. Do yourself a favor - hire someone else if you want the process to run smoothly. Update - just got another estimate for way cheaper - same work to be done for 48K. Pays to shop around! read more

Kelly roofing repaired my roof but damaged my lanai screening while doing the repairs. They promised to have someone come and repair the screen on three different dates but the screen remains damaged. I am still trying to get them to show up and complete the job!! read more

Nothing would make me happier than give Kelly Roofing a great review. We were extremely disappointed in the whole process. The crew left debris on the ground as well as on the roof. Had to call back so they could come clean up. But most disappointed in the attitude of the owner, Joe Kelly sr and supervisor who was very defensive and arrogant. Granted the price was right and we were happy to use a local company who had been in business as long as we have lived in Naples. All in all, a bad experience and unfortunately will not recommend Kelly Roofing to anyone. read more

I contracted with Kelly Roofing 3 times and got ripped off every time. My realtor referred me to them when we first moved to FL. In that case, I felt their prices were high but I relied on the referral since I was new to the area. I next contacted them after Hurricane Irma. After understandable delays, I finally was given an appointment for an assessment of the damage. I was charged for the estimate and they did not apply the fee towards the work. The contractor then came out at a different day/time when I was not home and I was not able to ask any questions. He emailed an estimate but I got no response to repeated emails/phone calls regarding my questions. Again, I felt the price was high, but I finally signed off on the job because it had to be done. When the crew came out, they didn't do a fraction of the work that was described in the estimate because they said it wasn't necessary. However, Kelly did not alter the price until I relentlessly called to argue that I shouldn't be charged for work that was not done. They eventually agreed to cut the charges in half! Several months later when I went to sell the house, the buyer's inspector discovered two areas were leaking from damage due to Irma that Kelly's inspector had failed to detect. I then had to call them out AGAIN. In this case, they came quickly and finished the job in a timely manner, but their price for 1 1/2 days of work was ridiculously high. When weeks went by and I had not received the bill that I needed as proof to the buyer that the work had been completed, I called them. I left a number of messages explaining the urgency of the situation but received absolutely no response. Finally, my selling agent was able to get through to them, but it still took weeks to receive the paperwork that they had LOST! I experienced extreme stress because the sale of my home was in jeopardy due to their incompetence! They made no allowances for their poor customer service and ultimately charged me the full amount. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and money by calling a different company!! read more

Still no resolution regarding the excessive charge to my credit card. I thought I should reiterate the following true facts regarding Kelly Roofing. 1. This company has not responded to any of my e-mails regarding an explanation of the $900 charge. What kind of a company refuses to interact directly with a disgruntled customer who just paid $900? 2. I was charged almost $1,000 for 30 mins of labor to nail down tar paper and maybe secure some tiles (which I have not been given proof of). How can this be worth almost $1,000? 3. This company refuses to provide any documentation regarding this charge - no invoice, no sales slip, no receipt, nothing. How can a company charge a credit card without supplying an itemized receipt? And why wouldn't they supply one if requested by a customer? Most people keep sales receipts as documentation for warranty issues and future repairs. Most people want to know the cost of material and labor. I have a $900 charge and nothing to show for it. 4. I have a written estimate from a second roofer who questioned why the tar paper was nailed and not glued. In his opinion, nailing can cause water to pool which can further damage the roof. 5. I have a written estimate from a second roofer who would have charged me considerably less for the same type of temporary roof repair. read more

I know right after a hurricane everybody is busy. I had roof damage and I called Kelly Roofing. They don't answer phones now. They demanded a credit card number and said the charge would be for a replacement estimate and emergency repair. I was supposed to receive a confirmation email I never received one. They said if I had any questions to call or email. As I said they don't answer phones now nor do they respond to emails. read more

This is the worst company to do business with..they wanted to lien my house for a bill that I never received...$700.00 for tarping my roof they later said it was someone else's bill....Then I received a notice that they were going to lien my house for $599.00 from Mr Joe Kelly Sr, never received any bill for $599.00 or what is was for, that day Feb 6th I received a bill via email with the Date Feb 6 th Mr Kelly sent me and pics of PEEL & STICK stuck on my roof...I paid the bill for $599.00 that same day I did not want any lien place on my house for it is for FOR SALE... When I got down from my home in New York to my Florida home, there was none left on my roof...They gave me a price of $95,000.00 to replace my entire roof, my roof is tile and 7 years old...then Shelby there employee said his order was to give me a price on a new roof...then he went back and dropped the price to $7500.00 to repair the roof..way to much I had it repaired for $1510.00....Next day got an email from them telling me I owed $6221.91 invoice 109052 for cancelation fee of 15%....well spoke to Candy she tells me once again it was someone else's invoice, Falcon Glen..Now I ask you MR Joe Kelly Sr was that $599.00 bill you sent me that day Feb 6 th my bill for work you claimed was done months ago during Irma...I doubt it very much after reading all the one star complaints your company is getting...is everyone wrong ????...LOU R... Run!! This company does not honor their warranties. They are very deceptive and dishonest and the quality of their work is extremely poor.

Kelly Roofing replaced all of the flat roofs in our condo complex a year and a half ago, and we have had problems with leaks ever since. Their "repairs" over the past year and a half have not eliminated the leaks, and now with all of the work generated by Irma, our warranty work is on the back burner. We have to wait 10 weeks for an appointment, and they will not even come out to tarp the problem areas to prevent further damage. Run away! read more

Our condo complex had major damage due to hurricane Irma. (Fairway Pines of Bonita) Kelly replaced the roofs and gutters. The roofs seem fine, however the gutters hang so the water runs away from the down spout. We have made several calls to Kelly about the gutters and get nothing but a run around. This has been going on for about a year now and we have had no satisfaction. If you call them they are always going to have someone call back. This never happens. You can't send the owner a email. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Had Kelly Roofing come out in May for a roof leak in livingroom and lanai was told sheathing and tiles would be replaced upsold me on redoing Valley at front of house which had no problem. Ceiling in lanai fell in last week after a heavy rain storm revealing rotted plywood and obviously never replaced. Nothing to do with hurricane. Have called and emailed numerous times with no return call. I am now forced to get legal representation. read more

Not at all impressed with this company. I had an appointment that I made three weeks out before the hurricane. Of course hurricane made my roof worse and was hopeful that because I already had an appointment that they would honor it. They did not and told me they were taking care of disasters first........I found it disasterous to have water pouring into my home. Amazing how bad an experience we had this past year with this company after using them again because they were very good the first time we called, several years ago. Just found out we're being sued for withholding payment when they were overpaid if anything. Damage to house while putting on new roof, trouble getting them to repair it, and no written itemization mailed to show discrepancies. I chose Kelly based on the reviews on the web and years in business. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the customer service as they constantly provided misinformation, postponed the scheduled date multiple times and seemed disorganized. Perhaps they care more about bigger / commercial clients than regular homeowners. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Everything was fine until a leak developed in the roof and it needed repair. It took me a lot of attempts to get on the schedule for getting the problem fixed. Then I'd wait at home and no one would show up. I wrote a polite email to the owner explaining the problem, and stated that I was aware he needed to focus on revenue-producing work. Nevertheless, I still should receive better customer service. I didn't even get a response. After several weeks the work got accomplished. Then I had to call them back because one of the replacement tiles they used to repair the roof was broken! That's sloppy workmanship. Now three years later there is a leak in the same place. Although I was told someone would call me about the repair schedule four days ago, no one has. I've made three calls over six days, I've left messages with the office staff and I've not received a response. This is not a company I would recommend because their follow-up customer service is non existent! read more

Their estimating process was very well put together with Conner providing us with the opportunity to have multiple pre-construction meetings. When it came time to get the job done, Raul and his crew have been doing an excellent job working non stop in a very quick and efficient way! These guys are the best! They have been very responsive and willing to work around all of the nuisances of keeping the owners up to date and working around any issues that have come up. Their office staff is super helpful and responsive, Milton and Gabby have made managing this project very simple and they are very detailed and effective. Had an issue with a leaking roof over an outdoor pool bathroom and called Kelly Roofing. I could not have been more disappointed with the service. They charged $300 for an emergency service call to patch the roof and they did not patch the trouble spot to stop the leaking in our newly dry walled bathroom. Another roofer who came to give me a second bid said that there was no sign of any patch work having been done on the roof anywhere. They are very unprofessional and do not return calls or emails. They did supply me with an overpriced bid to replace my entire roof when another roofer told me I had 2-4 years life left on my roof. Would never recommend them to anyone. read more

We scheduled an estimate appointment months ago with Kelly Roofing for today and in the last week they've attempted to reschedule twice. The first attempt was an email that requested I confirm the appointment by a certain timeframe they dictated or they would cancel. No phone call. Just a random email months after I've made the original apt during which their confirmation process was never mentioned. The evening before they emailed me asking if it was okay to change the time to 11:30 to which I replied, "No." They then emailed me a confirmation hat it was changed to 11:30 and asked that I call to reschedule if that wasn't okay. Another representative called and left a voicemail to the same effect but stated the new time was noon. I finally called and explained that 1:00 is the time we scheduled months ago and that I have other obligations for which I planned my day around this appointment that I made months in advance. I was told that the project manager needs time to get here due to traffic. How is that our problem? Why would we start any services with a company who dictates everything on their terms already? Perhaps they don't need the business after Hurricane Irma. Perhaps they thought I would concede and agree to the time change. Or perhaps they have simply become too big for their britches and think that they have the upper hand despite this being a business of customer service. If a customer makes an apt months in advance -honor it. Anything else sets a bad precedent and makes your entire company look unreliable. Goodbye Kelly Roofing. Do not use this company. The company sales team will tell you any lie they believe will get you to sign a contract. Then the work crew will do whatever they think is the easiest and fastest way to "complete" the job. Quality of workmanship doesn't matter to them. When you question them about what is going on, all of a sudden, their comprehension of English becomes very poor. Avoid this scam company at all costs. read more

I could not be more displeased with a company than this one. Run. They sold my neighbor, adjacent to me, a new roof because they blamed my problems on them(Joe Kelly himself). They replaced it for @15K and guess what- mine is still leaking. They pitched his so it runs right into mine vs front to back. All draining into my roof. 2 Kelly Roofing customers- who does that. After repeated leaks, often costing a "emergency" fee up to $600, multiple appointment, many excuses that keep changing, leaks that took many times to fix, no shows, Ken Kelly copied on emails, no response ever. Oh never mentioned they pitched the roof into mine!They are just the worse. Wish I could give them 0 stars. Oh and they give a gift certificate if you give them a good review on Angies List. Hmmm. Now have a restoration company to repair the extensive damage and they have the nerve to ask me to donate to their cause as a satisfied customer. They know no bounds. read more

Based on the over price job they did for me and the leak they claimed first was from poor workmanship they then said the leak was from another place on my roof. They left my tiles and a bucket on the roof for over a month and if I did not email them they would never have asked to complete the job. Since their poor work I have had 5 roofers bid on my new full roof and they all agreed I was overcharged (My fault) and the job was done wrong. I sent pictures to the manufacture of the product they used and even they said the did not tie the roof in correctly to the pitch. They do not stand behind their work and if you suffer any damage to to their poor workmanship they will not repair however, every other roofer said they do. Contacted them 9/22/17 for my home in Naples, FL. They came 10/2/17 to do a roof inspection and give me an estimate. I was told that I would receive the inspection report ($185) and quote by email right away. Then nothing happened. No report. No quote. Couldn't reach them by phone. Couldn't reach them by email (canned email saying they weren't responding...). Finally, got to them on facebook. Was told that they missed my appointment and had to reschedule it to the next week. Understanding that they were at my house already. They eventually found my pictures, apologized and told me that I would get my inspection report and quote by this weekend. Still nothing. I made the mistake of not finding more reviews online about their lack of response. My neighbor called at the same time and was told they couldn't get to inspect her place until November. We are looking elsewhere. I do not recommend this business. Lack of communications, the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing. read more

THE WORST. We have had the worst experience. We hired them because they are well known in the area and have been around a long time. When we got the quote, Tom Moody, the project manager, was very nice and professional. He assured us that our roof would be finished in 6 weeks, start to finish. It would take 30 days for them to start and two weeks after they took our old roof off we would have our new roof. We paid them a large deposit the day we got the quote. That was almost 4 months ago. They left supplies on our roof for a month, rotting in the rain and sun. They still hadn't done any work but were asking for the next installment of $11,000.00. We advised we'll pay when they begin the work. So 2 months after our quote, they came and removed the shingles and detached our gutters. We were told by the foreman that in 2 weeks they would be back to install our metal roof. 6 weeks has now passed and we still don't have a roof. Numerous phone calls and emails have gone unanswered. Communication is horrible. Every day our roof gets pounded by torrential downpours. Since we don't have the gutters attached, we have water coming in our lanai and front door every time there is a hard rain. We were advised our materials would be here today and they would install tomorrow. My husband was finally able to make contact with someone at their office who advised there was an error on our order and it will be another week until they can install it. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have horrible customer service. They are only nice until they get your payment, then they ignore you. Go with Cathedral. So disgusted. read more

They deducted $3500 from my credit card which represented full tarping of roof but never placed a tarp on my roof.Evacuated home in Naples 9/7 to 9/15 to Pensacola in advance of IRMA and on 9/10 signed online for Kellys Irma service authorization form authorizing certified roofing inspection $185 and emergancy full tarping of roof to a maximum of $3500 and required to give them my credit card #.I wanted to do all possible to prevent water entry as I knew my 37 year old shingles would not withstand a direct hit from IRMA and final repairs would be 3 months down the road.Was guided by Ken Kellys (president) U-Tube Vidio where he states "$3500 charge is the maximum for full tarping of the roof and the minimum charge of $595 is for bringing out the crew to place one tarp on one arear of concern"On 9/16 received certified roof inspection report stating I needed new roof and to contact my insurance co.but making a false statement that "GUYS INSTALLED TARPS TO MAJORITY OF ROOF"this was totally untrue and complained by email to president,office manager,administrator,project manager,and corordinator that no tarps were placed on my roof with no response or results.On 9/30 second project manager came out to do inspection for final roof repair quote and I advise him that his office had deducted $3500 from my credit card on 9/20 and he could see no tarps on the roof but his examination showed that they had sealed a small # of hip shingles with a tar base sealant and stated that I should not have been charged for full tarping and should have been charged $595 for bringing out crew to seal a # of hip shingles (as of this date have not received quote for final roofing)On 11/2 my homeower insurance inspector came out and verified that I had a roof leak with water stains in ceiling of utility room and should be concerned about damage,mold, and mildue in attic arear (was what program was to prevent) he additionally examined the roof and counted the number of sealed hip shingles which totaled 37.He stated that the insurance co.would never authorize or approve payment of $3500 for sealing 37 shingles as he estimated that the sealing was accomplished within one hour and at the most 2 hours by a slow roofer and he could do it within half/hour.Rumor has it that they ran out of tarps and in some cases were using unapproved tarps or hit and miss sealing tactics and charging the maximum they feel they can get away with.Be fore worned. read more

Having a roof repaired by Kelly Roofing is one of the worst experiences of my life. My father passed away and I needed to have his roof repaired to sell his house. My real estate agent recommended Kelly Roofing, he had a good experience. My friend is a home inspector and photographed the repairs. They were shoddy at best. I still could not tell you who my go to person was, I received emails from Vicki who could not spell my name even after attempts to email her 5 times to correct it, I received emails from Ricardo who does not know proper English - he sent me emails - job is finished - which it was not. They did not even look at the garage which was leaking so they had to do it as an add on - more money of course. There was another add on for an additional $2800.00. All of the repairs looked like a 2 year old did them. Joe Kelly Sr. called me and asked how the job was and I told him my problems - he said he would follow up and never did. This whole ordeal went on for several months. I finally demanded a letter stating that the repairs would pass inspection when the house sells before I would pay them the remainder.
