Had a very bad experience with the waiter Jason. It was Sunday October 26th around 2:30pm. My buddy Dan and I were trying to get his attention after circling our table 6 times and he rudely cussed out Dan so loud the whole bar heard it. He shouted That he sees Dan holding his hand up and that Dan is so fucking impatient. There was no call for his behavior and he needs a reality check on being a server. We left Kelly's immediately. We are not going to tolerate being Insulted. We will never allow him to wait on us ever again. We love Kelly's and won't let a jerk like that stop us from enjoying the other wait staff. My daughter the Atlanta Falcon fan had to watch the Falcons play the Saints while we were in Rapid City. She searched and found this bar that had what appeared to be all of the football games on. When we arrived, the place was packed. We located a seat in the back with a few Saints fans, they were very polite and we had a great afternoon watching the game with them. Although the food too a long time to order and be served, it quality and taste was better than what we expected. Service was a little slow, but again, the place was busy and I am sure that they are under staffed just like every other restaurant. Bottom long, this is a great place to watch football. read more

I like how they let their employees drink while not working and start harassing customers and treating them with disrespect. And no action was taken during the conflict by any other employees or management this establishment used to be way better than that an is starting to go down hill. and a male employee jumped in didn't ask what happened just starting raising his voice at the customers, very unprofessional establishment and poor management. read more

The food is good and the majority of the service; however, they allow their employees, who are not on shift, to be drunk and inappropriate without any regard. They do not value their customers over their drunk employees and do not take action to address any issues that arise in these circumstances. read more

Although it took a few minutes for the server to take our order/refill drinks/etc. I really like this place. The food was decent bar food that I would order again. Fries were crispy. French duo didn't have cheese on it which was weird but still good. Husband said wings were good too. Biggest complaint was that the place was really dark/no windows. 10/10 would go back for food and cheap drinks. **second visit update** This time we got cheese curds and chicken tenders. Went to Kelly's in Rapid last night to watch sports and eat dinner and they were playing HALLOWEEN SOUNDS on the stereo and refused to turn it off. For a good 30 minutes my wife and I and about 35 other innocent patrons had to listen to ghost sounds at a bar. It was ridiculous. People were looking around like WTF. We asked and they skipped to the next "song" which was the same Halloween background sounds. They didn't seem happy about the music complaints. The food was OK, service was blah. read more

There was a pool league happening when we got my fiancée and I arrived. Therefore it was a bit busy. After the league players cut out the place felt a bit more relaxing. The bartender was good nice and she made us some great Long Island Ice Tea's. The music playing over the jukebox system had a nice mix of about everything. OK, let's confirm some things. This is a sports lounge. This is bar food. Now, let's move on. As far as bar food goes, it doesn't get better than this in Rapid City. I've taken friends here from Illinois, to NY, to CA, MN and then some to here, and they all agree. Burgers. They're HUGE and on good butter toasted big buns, and they're cooked just right and not skimpy. The meat is lean, but just fatty enough to give you that "ahhhh" factor. I'll just tell you they're stellar features: Feel like Napoleon on Napoleon Dynamite and just want some Ore Ida Tater Tots in mass quantities? Then this is your place. Get them with a burger. But the biggest tickets are their KILLER WINGS. Get them, the regular kind, not their breaded tenders. And their Ranch and Blue Cheese dressing is homemade. They make their own sauce and there's no need for breading because their meat and sauce are that good. Also killer is their heart-attack inducing cheese balls. They taste like cheese curds and I'm from Illinois, right next to Wisconsin. There's no reason to experiment around the menu. Some of their things are not so hot. The fish sammie for example. But on Thursday nights, or is it Wednesday (call and see) they offer a prime rib special that's so cheap it 's cheaper than ordering out. Plus, giant, I mean HUGE mugs of beer during happy hour, so cheap you wonder how they make any money. During the day anyway, the waitstaff is fabulous. Fast and friendly. On a cross-country trip we were staying in Rapid City South Dakota we decided to check out Kelly's Sports I have to say was very pleased with Kelly's it had a great atmosphere reasonably priced drinks the gentleman taking care of us Jason was very friendly and had great suggestions on what to do in Rapid City I was surprised there's so many sites to be seen out in the middle of nowhere coming from Western Washington south of Seattle you can feel a little apprehensive being African-American in a small town like Rapid City Jason made us feel very welcome I would highly recommend checking out Kelly Sports Lounge hopefully when you're in there Jason will be working I really hope they have Yelp out in South Dakota read more

I actually have to say they have really good lounge food, and you can catch a lot of games there with their televisions. They also have had a lot of the same people working there for many years so you will get good service and good people, this is deifnatley a place to check out in town, and they also make real good Bloody Marys. I would give a half star , husband took me there raving about the boneless chicken nuggets. What I didn't realize we must have been at the invisible table between the pool tables and the back exit. Went with a group of 4 for dinner, drinks and opening night of NFL. Our waitress was prompt and attentive even with the place filling up. Our table ordered chicken gizzard and mushrooms as appetizers and these were good but nothing special. Both couples shared the 10 oz. Sirloin, our's was cooked a nice med. rare but the others ordered their steak medium and it was overcooked. The steaks were very tender and flavorful however. Drinks were refreshed often. The only criticism on the meal was that our dirty plates were not removed for quite awhile. Granted they were very busy but several times our waitress and others passed our table empty handed and could have easily grabbed the dirties that we had conveniently staked for them. Great atmosphere, good,reasonably priced, food. This will be our "go to" place to watch the games. read more

I give this a 5 star simply because it's a sports bar (in Rapid City) and it does what it does, quite well; lots' of TVs and easy to watch a lot of stuff. Also, lots of locals having fun "hanging out". With that said, the hamburger I had was very good for a sports bar, but it was not gourmet! The toasted bun was very good, the lettuce, tomato and onion were perfect. The burger size was very nice, but it was cooked by someone who simply slapped it on a grill until it was just short of rubber (sloppily over cooked in my opinion, little care to seasoning). The service was OK, very friendly but not particularly attentive, requiring you to get their attention however you can; it might help if you were a local known to the waitstaff. So, if you want to hang out with the "sports crowd", it's likely that this is the best place to go in Rapid City. The menu is very cool, actually excellent, and finding it on the Internet, is why I went there. Only because I have little interest in "hanging out", and have a lot of interest in finding excellent food, I will not likely go back. Honestly, it's "close, but no cigar", Kelly's could easily become excellent within the food category if they truly wanted to. I suspect that the competition in Rapid City is weak, and that they have no need to achieve excellence, in order to succeed more fully. read more

In town for a tournament, one of the moms tried being nice and called ahead to let them know there would be 20-25 people coming and she was told they were too busy and we should go to Buffalo Wild Wings. Really??? Waitress was asked for something and she said "I'm not your waitress". Again really??? Food was fair but I'm telling you if I owned that place and any one of my employees told a customer calling ahead to go elsewhere that would be their last day working at my establishment.
