This place was great! Even though they were packed, we hardly waited to be seated. The waiter checked on us often and was very helpful. The food came out quickly as well. We got Italian nachos and they were surprisingly good! The pizzas we ordered were really good as well. The music was fun and a great game-night atmosphere. This food was quite delectable and I will partake in this fine establishment monthly. Our server Sophi was wonderful as always, I had left a prior review on Google but the establishment gave such a divine experience that I had to leave a second review. The atmosphere itself is very nice and everyone seems quite respectful. They even partook in singing my friend happy birthday and I am very grateful for it. If I were to ever see any old Chicago employee in public I'd spot them for a meal. Thank you for such a good experience and I will recommend this establishment to others. I just ordered a create your own individual pizza with four toppings, some Mac and cheese bites and a Dr. Pepper via Uber eats and I must say I'm incredibly disappointed. Not only was my food cold by the time it got to me (not entirely their fault I understand driver shortages) but what upsets me the most is the amount of food I got for $60! I got what appears to be a child size pizza; maybe 8" in diameter - which by the time they cut it into 9 slices; there are only 5 any size worth eating! And my $4 drink is the size of a child's sippie cup! If this is their standard portion size they need to reevaluate their prices. The only thing I'm not disappointed in were the Mac n Cheese bites as those were quite good - hence the second star. read more

Old Chicago has three styles of pizza crust: "Tavern Thin", hand tossed and deep dish. We ordered a large veggie thin crust, well done, light on cheese. This is the standard midwestern bar style square cut pie. As shown in the photo, the cornicione or outer rim has a dense bready edge. This is not the light airy crust we were hoping for. The veggies were fresh and the sauce was plain. Unfortunately the center of the pie was wet and mushy. The "large" is a 14 inch pizza. We felt this was overpriced for the $27.00 we paid. We were seated outdoors immediately on a Sunday afternoon. Caleb, our server, promptly took our drink order and beers arrived cold. We ordered a calzone and pizza. Both food items were served hot and were flavorful. Our special order calzone was made correctly but was a little heavy on the crust. It is still the best calzone we have found locally. Thin crust, chicken Alfredo pizza was spot on. Crew seemed to have a little trouble keeping up with clearing tables but that's not a deal breaker. Took FOREVER to get our drinks. It was NOT busy, at all. Lots of empty tables. The pizza was not hot, almost no sauce, the server came by to get our drink order, deliver the food, get another round, and give us the ticket. Never once asked if everything was ok. After a long day traveling, it was nice to sit and enjoy some good food and friendly service. We sat in the bar area at a high-top table. Bar was mostly quiet, as was the entire restaurant. Server was attentive, and even the manager came to say hi. The TVs were showing multiple March Madness games, which was perfect. We had wings, pizza and salad - all were quite good. I have been here a few times and my experiences were all pretty fair. My experience is what you'd expect from a chain restaurant of this size, pretty decent, not anything absolutely phenomenal, and that's okay! Some waitresses are better then others, some are great with refills and are very nice and others are slow on refilling drinks or getting out salads. I have not run across a terrible waitress here though. BEST PART! I have not had a bad experience with the food! The pizzas are pretty good, better than your typical Little Caesar's pizza. I like to get the Pesto Chicken Mac and it is always cooked the Sam every time: delicious! A friend of mine also enjoys the baked spaghetti every time we go. I will admit the first time I went here (first week it opened) it took two hours to get my food but there was a mistake made my the waitress and everything turned out okay. I can understand that it WAS the first week, so I will cut them a break for that part. It's new so we'll see in a few years but it is very clean, nice seats, bathrooms are cleaned and pleasant to use. I am comfortable to sit in this restaurant and enjoy my food and don't have to think about the last time a certain thing has been cleaned.
