At times, she would start walking away before we finished talking and would not give us eye contact. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes here, but would highly recommend that she go through another round of training, or maybe find another job that she actually enjoys. If we were tipping just based on service, I would say we received the bare minimum. Being the person my boyfriend is, he refused to give less than a 20% tip, because he knows that restaurant and bar staff are not paid especially well, but I really do feel like some effort has to be made. The food runners were very confused and couldn't even speak when we tried to address the messed up food. Still no drink refills offered and the waitress was gone for so long we couldn't address the missing meals for a while. The food runners never said anything about the issues. Again, I get it, it's Mother's Day, but a suggestion was made (not requested) and then the alternative was incredibly messed up. Little apologies for any of the missing item issues and then the bills were all messy. None of these issues pointed to the kitchen so it's the rare time I don't appreciate an auto gratuity.
