Lots of seating indoors and out. I had a couple of margaritas and they did the job. I'd love to return to see the Christmas decor.

I enjoy this spot around the Christmas time. Its always decorated so nice and just put you in the spirit to be festive. Very fun and the drinks are good. Food tend to be good yonsoak up that alcohol. My fave is the hippie ki yaymotherfxxxx. The bar gets sopacketd that it's hard at times to order a drink just a lil FYI

I love to meet friends during the winter holiday season. They always go above and beyond on the decorations. This special time a year, they offer creative cocktails in fun drink ware (also available for purchase). A group gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were lucky to grab a big table because they tend to fill up fast. Everyone ordered different drinks at the bar and what an assortment of fun drinking vessels. Mine was shaped like a T-Rex. After a while their kitchen opened and we all ordered a variety of different wings and parmesan fries. Great place for anyone who loves whiskeys, they have a zillion or so.

Went for their Christmas pop up! Only got beer but they were mixing cocktails left and right. Seemed pretty on it when it came to getting to everyone but the real draw was the decor! Absolutely worth a stop in. The Santa up front was hilarious and treated everyone who came in!

I mer a friend here for happy hour! They have a very good Old Fashioned and during happy hour it's only $6. The place is cool with an industrial feel and it's near the Garden District which is great. The bartender was so nice and attentive! Would recommend.

Highly recommend! 9/10!! The drinks are cute! Very busy, but a great experience ! There's a food delivery but you have to go stand in the line for the food portion.

As I was visiting New Orleans during the Christmas season, I had to check out at least 1 pop-up bar. It was within easy walking distance from my hotel in the Garden District and came recommended by the hotel staff. It was absolutely filled to the brim with holiday decor complete with Christmas themed bevvies served in the cutest mugs (I should've bought one but alas). There was a bit of a wait to get inside but it wasn't horrible. Chatting with the other revelers was a good way to pass the time. There was food onsite of which I didn't get a chance to try. It's the same as any packed pop-up in any decent sized city in regards to wait times for ordering drinks but not overly long. Even going solo, a good time was had.

This bar has been a staple in my New Orleans living experience since I moved here back in 2018. When my now husband proposed to me Feb 2018 this is the first place we went to celebrate! The variety of alcohol brands are impressive, they have an AMAZING Frozen Margarita (which is on Happy Hour for $5!) and they NOW have awesome food pop up restaurant called Marchbox Kitchen that serves delicious fusion type dishes - ramen etc. They have a seasonal Christmas drink menu that people stand in lines for around the holidays and they are always welcoming when we come in! Been going here for years!

If you like bourbon/whiskey you need to visit this place ! Prices are great and they have a lot to choose from . Bartenders are super nice and they make great drinks . I had an old fashion and it was really good ! My fiancé tried two different wellers ! I saw the bartenders making some interesting drinks that for sure going to try before we leave town

Cute Christmas pop up. Friendly service and great drinks. Don't be scared away by the unusal sounding descriptions. Be prepared to wait in line if it's Christmas time, but it was worth it for us!

Transparency: not a huge New Orleans fan in general. But this place has the best vibes and Michael & Craig are the BEST bartenders. We gave them a spirit and flavor profile and they concocted the most delicious drinks. The vibe is a lounge with tons of bar seating and some nice tables and booth seating. Cool atmosphere and awesome bartenders. Put it on your list of places to visit!

Awesome place! For us bourbon guys, we want a good selection of well priced bourbon . But more importantly, we want the staff to know their stuff especially when you are working at a place called Barrel Proof. Well they did not disappoint, they were happy to talk bourbon and recommend some new stuff. This place is a must when you are in town. We stopped in, in the afternoon this place would probably be packed during the evening. Anyhow check them out!

Huge whiskey collection in a fun environment. Feels like a half dive bar half neighborhood watering hole. They also do a Christmas theme with lights and specialty cocktails, so even if you're not a whiskey person there's something here for you. Not to mention, they have food options in the back, and the spicy chicken sliders I had will be the type of meal I dream of, like death row last meal request stuff...just mind the spice. It can get up there

It could be easy to miss this fairly nondescript corner bar.

Great selection, great bartenders, and great vibe. Worth getting away from French Quarter for this. Pop-up kitchen was excellent too!

Yes, it's a bar room and they check for I.D at the door.

    Do they take reservations?

    No. It's a casual bar.

The restaurant and courtyard are beautiful, with a rich history that adds to the experience. Chris Hannah is one of the best bartenders in the business. He took the time to learn what we enjoyed and crafted cocktails that were absolutely spot on. Beyond the drinks, he was warm, engaging, and even shared a list of local recommendations that ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. Outstanding cocktails, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable start to our New Orleans adventure.

We were seated in the upstairs area and tried some of their drinks. We got the Brandy Crusta which is their most popular drink and the Pouvez-Vous Poulet which is a seasonal cocktail. The Brandy Crusta has the cup dipped in sugar with a fairly strong cocktail within. Definitely get this when you are here as that is one of the best Brandy Crustas and is historical. The Pouvez-Vous Poulet is a duck fat washed rum cocktail and is also very delicious. You cannot really go wrong with any cocktail, but definitely order the Brandy Crusta for the true experience here. Though, honestly, while the cocktails are good, it was not as memorable as the other Top 50 Best Bars in the World that I have been to, but I won't dock a star off because of this, since the cocktails and overall experience otherwise were fantastic. Service is good but can be a bit slow, but it is an acceptable tradeoff for a more quiet ambience compared to downstairs.

While I knew of the drink French 75, on the bar menu it was offered with either gin or cognac. I decided to try the cognac and so glad I did. Perfectly delicious! While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. We had such a great time sitting at the bar that my wife and I each finished two and a half Sazeracs, which tells you everything you need to know.

Atmosphere/Appearance: It's EXTREMELY BUSY and very loud in here. Lol. As mentioned above, the bar is located inside the hotel so once you walk in through the front door you enter the lobby then head to the right. It's a first-come, first-serve situation (at least it was for us at the time). So of course, the carousel bar is the highlight. It's a slow rotating bar rail and it's adorable. Lol. Almost the entire bar is eyeing any available spots so you have to be quick, but be respectful. However, there are tables and such sprinkled throughout the bar where you can hangout at as you stalk the actual carousel. My wife and I sat in the window which made for some excellent people watching. Lol. Eventually after what felt like an hour or we did spot some spots on the carousel, my wife held them for me as I closed the check then finally got to sit... and SPIN! The bar completes a full revolution every 15 minutes so you definitely won't get dizzy. Service: We had no issues here whatsoever. The staff is just super busy all over the place, but they didn't miss a beat. Food: For my first drink I checked out their Oaxacan Midnight which was like a tequila play on the Old Fashioned. It was delicious, a bit lighter than an Old Fashioned, but certainly stood on it's own. For our first appetizer bar bite we tried the Blue Crab & Corn Beignet which didn't come out as I was expecting. Lol. I'm not mad, I just pictured the big, fluffy things from Cafe Du Monde, but maybe stuffed with goodies! These were more like fritter than I absolutely loved so much I ordered a 2nd plate. Lastly we tried the BBQ Shrimp which was grilled to perfection with a good snap, excellent flavor and good char along with a tangy, cream sauce on top. Value: It's pricey. Food and drinks were decent, but a SMIDGE overpriced, but... they know you're going to pay because you're on vacation, you're a tourist and you wanna be in this novelty bar. Lol. Regardless, I had a blast and you can say you did too whenever you check this place out! In conclusion, I've now been there, done that. Lol. I don't have to do it again, but if you're in the area, check this place out. It's a good time.
