My husband and I went to the Bahamas for a week and being that it was a family trip, we didn't have anyone to watch our boy Rex. We turned to Kelsey and we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire her. Rex tore his ACL about a month before our trip and he was on strict rest. Having him be taken care of in our home was very convenient and eased the stress of losing the small gains we had made before we left. Also, Kelsey did a walk through with me the week before we left and took detailed notes that she shared with me via email before we left, in case I had any adjustments. Her notes not only included information for Rex's care, but also included detailed directions for coming and going into our home and setting our alarm etc. this made us feel safe, knowing we can trust that our home would also be safe in our absence. It was like having a house sitter and pet sitter all in one. The day before our trip I found out I would be receiving a package that needed to be signed off for. This would have been a huge inconvenience had it not been for Kelsey agreeing to come to our home and stay a couple hours in the morning to sign for my package. Another headache avoided! When we got back from the Bahamas, Rex was very happy to see us but was not a ball of overstimulated stress like he normally is when we leave for long periods of time. I have two dogs with very different personalities and was a bit apprehensive about using someone new. I found Kelsey online and immediately felt comfortable talking to her on the phone. We scheduled an intro visit where she came over and spent about an hour with me and my dogs getting to know them, taking them on a walk and going over all of the details for their care. One of my dogs had recently hurt her leg and was limping and on medication. Kelsey took the time to take them out separately so each one could get the attention that they needed. She stayed overnight in my home with them for 5 days and took care of things around the house like mail and trash cans. My house looked beautiful when we returned. I was very impressed, since I am an absolute "neat freak". We have used her for last minute walks as well. What I appreciate most about her, aside from the love and attention she gives my dogs, is that she always communicates in a timely manner and tries her best to accommodate all of our needs. If she is unavailable for some reason, she tries to find another dog sitter for us. She always text me pictures of my dogs and lets me know in detail how my dogs are doing on a daily basis when we are away. I love that!!
