Called to see about doing bloodwork after waiting a week for doctors office to call me. Operator was really rude and snapped at all my questions. I was a new patient there and wasn't told by anyone the instruction for doing my bloodwork, ask where lab was as she snapped at me and told me first floor. Won't be going back there again. Last year I did a full body MRI out of pocket. It showed several potential problems that had not been caught by medical professionals. Among those was a potential brain issue. I made an appointment with Dr. Shonte Byrd at Kelsey-Seybold. She took a look at the MRI and told me that it actually looked very much like a non-issue to her, but that we could be more certain after a year by doing a follow-up CT scan after that. She scheduled me for a visit this October, a year later basically, to handle this and get a better idea. Since that time, I've been contacted twice in October to reschedule. And now I've been told I will need to reschedule a third time, and this time the next available is February of 2026. I'm sorry, but that's absurd and not the level of care I'm looking for when I go to any kind of clinic with any kind of specialist. I have waited a year for this appointment and now I'm being told it will be another third of a year? In that time, things could become even worse with that condition if there is actually something wrong. This doctor felt it was necessary to have this follow-up appointment and had it made herself. But somehow I've fallen through the cracks. I've had several specialists from there, and rescheduling or subpar service has been a regular. It will cost me some time again for sure to find another provider, but likely not all the way to February of 2025, almost 4 months away, for something that may be a critical issue, but at least I can find something more reliable and less volatile. If you're looking for quality care that doesn't constantly put you on the backburner, save yourself some time and remove Kelsey-Seybold from your list of options. read more

I noticed it is a common practice for folks who handle the payment at the front desk on the third floor to tell me my insurance was verified, and I did not meet my deductible. Instead of saying they did not verify the insurance and charge a fee upfront while waiting on payment, they spread misinformation. I was only suppose to pay $33 for an office visit. They charged me $168.00 after lying about verifying my insurance and making up a story about following a contract they have with my insurance company. My rep from my insurance company was sympathetic that they lied to me. Because they have no record Kelsey Seybold called in on every visit to verify my insurance. I just want my money back that is owed to me. It is fraud to accept payment from the insurance company that was owed and collect money from me. This is double dipping. I visited the Pearland location about 10 days ago, the doctor was good, and the nurses and associates very good. My issue with them is that I needed a couple of referrals to specialists, and they go in-house for their own doctors. The wait times were in excess of 6 weeks for both of these, but in other clinics I can get an appointment in as little as 2 days. This is just ridiculous, what it means is that they are severely understaffed and seem unprepared to solve that situation. I highly discourage anyone from using their Advantage program as you would be locked into waiting ridiculously long times to see a specialist. And on a Friday afternoon there were no, that's ZERO, other patients waiting in the 1 1/2 hours I was there. I guess a lot of others are already dissatisfied. read more

This company is the worst. Doctors request unnecessary blood work, ear screening, viuial test, etc. I asked if it was cover by the yearly and was told yes. Three months later we received bills. I don't know how Dr. Jordan can say she is a caring doctor. She called me before my appointment to move it up to leave earlier so you can imagine the type of care I got. I would give a Zero if it was available. The doctors and nurses are nice, but it's location dependent. The Woodlands location is horrible. The check in and estimated office cost upfront is purely skeptical as they don't give you all the associated cost for the office. I signed for $145 office visit and left 15 minutes later with a $700 office visit. They explained, like I should have known (?), the additional cost for 1st time visit, and ENT cleaned your ears. Completely blown away as I haven't met my insurance deductible yet and had to pay in full, through several transactions as the more I complained,the more they said "well we should have charged you this and that". Again, this was a 15 minute ENT visit for an ear check up. I even filled out a patient survey and complaint form for someone to follow up with me..... none! This review is based on my experience with pediatrics. After visiting several pediatricians' offices when I was pregnant with my daughter, we chose Dr. Raoof and Kelsey-Seybold. Right before my daughter turned two, Dr. Raoof retired and we also moved. I was so glad when this new location opened closer to us and we chose Dr. Kara Carter as our daughter's new pediatrician. My experience at both Kelsey-Seybold clinics in Katy have been very pleasant. The offices are always very clean and we never wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. Dr. Carter has the perfect personality to be a pediatrician. She interacts with your child and actually has a conversation with you about your child's development instead of just going down a checklist of questions. My experience with the doctors has mainly been during my daughter's well-child checkups. Thankfully, she has only been sick once before in three years. I wanted for her to be seen the same morning, and the only doctor available was Dr. Sabbagh, so I took my daughter to be seen by her. My experience with this doctor was also pleasant. She took her time with us and I felt like she was paying careful attention to my daughter during the visit. The only doctor that I wasn't too pleased with was Dr. Giddings. She filled in for Dr. Raoof during an extended leave and we had one of my daughter's check-ups with her. She gave me a hard time because I wouldn't let my one year old "cry it out" more often and basically said my daughter was going to become a clingy, bossy child if I didn't stop "baby-ing" her. She concluded this based on one simple question and knowing nothing about my daughter, who by the way turned out perfectly fine. Overall, I am very happy having Kelsey-Seybold as our clinic and Dr. Kara Carter as our pediatrician. read more

You know, I'm starting to become a pro at masking my feelings, hiding and avoiding conversations when it comes to my health Being there for everyone, all the while staying positive, helping when I can, going to every store opening, art showing and event that I'm invited too rather I'm hired for my services or just an attendee. I pride myself on trying to be a well rounded mother, wife, friend, supporter & a humble person. And not showing anything other than support and a big smile. Because I refuse to feel defeated. But honestly, lately it's becoming harder for me to stay positive. When I feel like I'm falling apart. Like everything is going wrong. (Like My business launch July 16th I've been planning 8 years is now in jeopardy) I'm glad we have insurance because without it, I don't know what we'd do. My husband is so supportive but I can see in his eyes that he's scared. He's not so good at masking, hiding his emotions. Once or Twice a week I'm in one of these Kelsey Seybold Clinic facilities. I love the fact that when I come to any of the facilities I get great service, I feel comfortable, safe and hopeful. The staff is very professional. They handle me well they explain to me what's going on and procedures they need to do next. I recommend this business. My husband has been scheduled for major surgery at St. Luke's hospital in the Houston Medical Center. He is under the Kelsey Care Advantage Plan. He was originally scheduled for surgery on August 3, 2022. He had done all of his pre-surgery bloodwork and Covid-19 test as required prior to the surgery. Less than a week before the surgery, he received a call from the scheduling department telling him that the surgery had to be rescheduled since his surgeon would be on vacation. Since this time, his surgery date has been reset three times, with the most recent date being September 14, 2022. He came back with a positive Covid-19 test, (which automatically cancelled the surgery) and contacted his primary care physician who prescribed a round of monoclonal antibiotics. He returned to a Kelsey-Seybold on Friday, September 30 for another Covid-19 test, which also came back positive. Upon contacting his primary care physician's office, the nurse told him that he could possibly test positive for three months or so. When we inquired about the pending surgery, we were told that the surgery would be up to the surgeon's discretion. Once again, we are trying to contact the surgeon's office to get some answers. My husband's overall condition is deteriorating, and we have yet to get a call back. His new "prospective" surgery date is November 9, 2022. Don't believe all of the commercials about Kelsey-Seybold. They have really proven their incompetence where my husband's health is concerned. Their communication (or lack therein) is absolutely appalling! read more

Most of the locations have good doctors. have been seeing my doctor at the Fort Bend location for the last 20+ yrs... The prices are exorbitant. charged me 600+ dollars for a cardiac exercise test. my son was charged 392 dollars for a office visit as opposed to the normal 145.. their charges for lab tests are exorbitant as well.. The building is nice. The staff are incompetent. Appointment booked for 3:30pm told to get there 15 minutes early. Waited 45 minutes in waiting room until I was the last person sitting there and the nurse had to ask my name twice. Sat in an exam room until 4:30 and no doctor ever showed up. I left. I was a new patient and didn't feel like having my appointment rushed so they could leave at 5. Won't go back there ever again. read more

Worst care available! I went for chest pain, they said nothing wrong- 2 months later I had a massive heart attack. Went back again pain in my back they said nothing wrong with me, 2 days later x-ray showed pneumonia in both lungs. Dr prescribed me meds that say not to take if you've had a heart attack. I just want to say beware!! In my opinion they are about getting through patients, it's a numbers game for them, not concerned about your health. Unfortunately they are my insurance provider. Be Aware: After being a Kelsey patient for 14 years,I realized that while my insurance, United Healthcare covers most lab work at 100% so long as it is in a LabCore (or other in Network lab), Kelsey charges for an office visit. I pay $40 for specialists and $25 for Internists and General Practitioners. What alerted me to this is that I was charged $65.xx for a lab only visit. One set of labs were billed under my Internist's name and the other set, under my Endocrinologist's name. My insurance covers all of the labs performed in the Lab Core at the Kelsey main clinic. But I found, that I am still charged for the lab work, not as a Lab Core visit, but as an office visit. Because I had two orders filled from two different doctors on the same day, I was KELSEY billed for the blood work as two office visits. Because I do not get paperwork before getting blood drawn, despite being a detail boilerplate conscious person, this would have been an easy oversight on my part, as I do not receive paperwork before lab tests.i found out by accident today. Despite paying at time of service for every visit, never having a balance of any kind, for over a decade, I was not offered a refund for any, let alone the many hundreds of dollars I have been charged for "office" visits when I never set foot in a doctors' office. WARNING : Go to a free standing Lab Core, or face additional Kelsey charges for a doctors' visit that never happened. read more
