I had to wiggle the cord or flip it over to get it to charge, which was a major issue since this phone is essential for my resale business. I'd already called a few places--quotes ranged from $125 to $150 just to replace the charging port. KEMO originally quoted me $85, which was already a better deal, so I called again to confirm. That's when I spoke to Sam, who immediately stood out. He listened carefully and said, "You know what? Based on what you're saying, I don't think it's the port itself. Bring it in--I'll check it out. Worst case, it's $85 like we quoted, but it might be way less." When I asked what it would cost if it needed full repair, he was upfront--said it could run $125 max, but again reassured me he didn't think that'd be necessary. That honesty already earned trust. I came in, handed him the phone, and within five minutes, he had it working perfectly. He'd done a full cleaning--turns out there was a bunch of debris deep inside the port. I tested it, flipped the plug, wiggled the cord--rock solid. It charged perfectly on both sides, no issues at all. When I asked what I owed, he just smiled and said, "No charge--didn't have to open it up. Just leave a review." That level of integrity is rare. Even better--when I told him I was in the market for a MacBook, he didn't try to upsell me. We discussed what I needed it for, and he told me straight up that an M1 model would be more than enough. This is by far some of the best service I've ever received. Being the clutz that I am, I dropped my new iphone in the middle of the road and completely shattered my screen. I rushed over to Kemo Wireless since they were the only repair shop open at the time and they had great reviews. They fixed my screen and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Shortly after repair, my phone started getting the black screen of death. I initially was able to turn the phone back up by completing a manual reboot, but a week later the phone just stopped turning on altogether. I went back to Kemo and they replaced my screen at no additional cost, but we found that the black screen issue was continuously happening. I was convinced that my issue had nothing to do with the broken screen, but more so with the motherboard. I went back to Kemo 3 times that day to see if they can help because the issue kept occurring. Their team RELENTLESSLY troubleshooted the phone even though they didn't cause the issue. They dissected my phone and put it back together; when that didn't work they replaced my battery and charging port at no cost. Wow, just wow. I thought I had to fork over another $1000+ on a new phone, but these guys saved me. A HUGE thank you to the Kemo Wireless team. You guys went above and beyond when you didn't have to. **THIS IS A CONDENSED VERSION of a complaint that is being filed with the California Attorney General and the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services My written complaint is 5 pages and thoroughly documented.*** On November 30, 2023, I took an iPhone X to Kemo Wireless for a screen repair; only the top half of the screen was responsive to touch, the bottom half was not. I had already performed a hard reset and restore of the iPhone to rule out software issues. After the repair, I collected the phone, completed the payment, and verified that the swipe function was operational. The technician asked if I knew the iCloud password to set up the phone and I stated that I did and would set it up later (I needed to get back to work). Post-repair, all seemed well until attempting to set up Face ID, which resulted in an error indicating a problem with the TrueDepth camera. When addressing this with Kemo Wireless, the experience was beyond frustrating. Initially ignored and later given the runaround, we were met with unfounded claims that the camera was already damaged and told that I refused to provide the password so the technician could set up the phone and verify it's functionality. As I had restored the phone, there wasn't a password to provide, the phone needed to be set up. There was no discussion of the camera at the time of payment. Contrary to their assertions, before the service, there were no issues with Face ID and the TrueDepth camera. The technician's explanations were inconsistent, at one point suggesting the camera was damaged before service, and later implying the damage was from a prior drop or potentially water - an incident that never occurred, as the phone has always been protected by durable casing. Even if the phone had been dropped prior to service, the fact remains the TrueDepth camera and Face ID were both fully functional prior to the screen replacement, AND only the bottom portion of the screen was non-responsive. There were no screen cracks, chips or other physical damage. At this point, we do not trust the repair shop. Thorough research of this issue indicates that the mostly likely cause is that the repair tech either damaged or did not fully connect/program the camera components or cable(s) during the screen replacement service. If the repair technician needed the phone to be set up, to verify proper functioning, he simply could have stated that and I would have set up the phone in-store. The lack of transparency and accountability from Kemo Wireless, coupled with their dismissive attitude, has led to a complete loss of trust. The mishandling of the repair and the subsequent customer service has been both disappointing and concerning, pointing to a serious lack of integrity in their service and dealings. We will not be returning to Kemo Wireless for further repairs. The gaslighting, constant goal-post shifting, general disrespect and disregard for our time and travel is unconscionable. Not to mention the complete lack of trust in the willingness of the business to ethically and honestly repair the phone. read more

Dropped my phone in water so I came to get a quote here on screen repair and see if they can repair water damage given they advertise that they repair both and was given a quote for $260 JUST for the screen and given the quotewas so high compared to other locations I asked if with the screen repair my phone would for sure be working due to the water damage, and if there was any warranty on the screen replacement, and I was told no due to the water damage they could be dry it out but could possibly give me problems at any moment therefore I was expected to pay $260 for a screen and the phone could not work the following day I feel like in this situation either warranty should be provided or they should let the customer know it's best to not even move forward with the screen replacement as the phone may not work. Almost $300 for a screen is crazy that can be put towards a new phone. I also went to different locations in the area and everyone quoted 160 max just for the screen so definitely a rip off here. read more
